French speaking Protestants are a very small minority in Canada, but one with a history dating back to early Huguenot settlers.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada Building is a modernist elliptical office building in Ottawa, Ontario, constructed in 1968 as the national headquarters for the Public Service Alliance of Canada. Designed by Paul Schoeler of Schoeler & Heaton Architects, the 12-storey building is located at the intersection of Gilmour and Metcalfe. The building was a recipient of a Ontario Association of Architects Award. In 2000, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada chose the building as one of the top 500 buildings produced in Canada during the last millennium.

The Golden Triangle is a sub-neighbourhood of Centretown in Somerset Ward in central Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It borders Elgin Street, at its west, and the Rideau Canal, at its east. The Ottawa City Hall is to its north and the Elgin Street Police Station to its south. According to the 2016 Canada Census, the total population for this area was 5,778.It is dominated by large single-family homes although many have since been subdivided, but it contains some condominiums and small apartment buildings.Its main western thoroughfare, Elgin Street (nicknamed "Sens Mile"), is home to boutiques and galleries, and it is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars, and nightclubs. Its eastern thoroughfare, Queen Elizabeth Driveway, runs along the western edge of the Rideau Canal. Along the entire length of Queen Elizabeth Driveway is a multi-use trail, which is part of the Capital Pathway system.A series of explosions in the sewers caused property damage throughout the area on May 29, 1929.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is the former diplomatic mission of Iranian government. It was located at 245 Metcalfe Street in the Centretown neighbourhood of Ottawa, across the street from the Booth House, currently home to the Laurentian Leadership Centre. Iran moved into the facilities in the summer of 1991; previously they had been based in a building on Roosevelt Avenue in Ottawa's west end. The ambassador lived in a house on Acacia Avenue in Rockcliffe Park, near Stornoway. On September 7, 2012, the Canadian government announced it would expel all remaining Iranian diplomats in Canada within five days. As of September 17, 2012, Canadian interests in Iran are represented by the Italian Embassy in Tehran and the Canadian Embassy in Ankara.

It is located in the historic Birkett Castle at 306 Metcalfe Street in the Centretown neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, with the main entrance via the adjacent embassy annex at 299 Waverley Street. Hungary maintained a Consulate General in Toronto which closed on November 27, 2009, but it has since been re-opened at a new location in Toronto as of April 18, 2014. Hungary also maintains Honorary Consulates in Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. "Extramural consular days" are held at various times in other locations across the country.

Winterlude is an annual winter festival held in Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec (collectively known as the National Capital Region). Winterlude is run by the Department of Canadian Heritage and was started in 1979. The event is one of Ottawa's most important tourist draws, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. In 2007, it set a new attendance record of an estimated 1.6 million visits to one of the four Winterlude sites.
