WXXO (FM)

WRUR-FM (88.5 FM) is a public, listener-supported radio station located in the Rochester, New York area airing an Adult Album Alternative format. Its transmitter is located on Pinnacle Hill in Rochester. WRUR-FM is the public radio station of the University of Rochester. It partners with WXXI Public Broadcasting Council to provide programming. Its programs can also be heard in Ithaca on WITH (90.1 FM).

WXXI-FM (105.9 FM) is a non-commercial radio station in Rochester, New York, United States. It broadcasts news, talk and informational programming as a member station of National Public Radio (NPR). WXXI-FM is owned by the WXXI Public Broadcasting Council, Rochester's primary public broadcaster. The station was founded as WJZR in January 1993 by North Coast Radio, Inc., and broadcast a smooth jazz format for 29 years before it was taken silent in July 2022 upon the owner's retirement. Since May 2023, WXXI-FM has carried WXXI's news/talk service, which originates from WXXI (1370 AM). The transmitter is on Pinnacle Hill Road off Highland Avenue in Brighton. The studios and offices are on State Street in Rochester.

WKGS (106.7 FM) – branded "KISS 106-7" – is a contemporary hit radio station licensed to Irondequoit, New York, and serves the Rochester area. The iHeartMedia outlet broadcasts with 4,600 watts effective radiated power. Its studios are located at the Five Star Bank Plaza building in downtown Rochester, and its transmitter site is in Brighton. WKGS broadcasts in the HD Radio format. The station's HD2 subchannel is known as "iHeart2010s" playing all-2010s Pop Hits.

WZNE (94.1 FM) – branded 94.1 The Zone – is a commercial alternative rock radio station licensed to Brighton, New York, serving the Rochester metro area. WZNE is owned by the Stephens Media Group. Its studios are located in Rochester and its transmitter is located on Pinnacle Hill in Brighton. In addition to a standard analog transmission, WZNE broadcasts over two HD Radio channels, and is available online.

Monroe is a former Rochester Industrial and Rapid Transit Railway station located in Rochester, New York. It was closed in 1956 along with the rest of the line.This station was built at Monroe Avenue in a cutting that had once been the bed of the Erie Canal and is now a section of the Eastern Expressway.

Shantz Button Factory is a historic button factory located in southeast Rochester, Monroe County, New York. The factory consists of three buildings built between 1903 and 1920. The buildings are of heavy timber-frame construction with brick walls, large window openings, flat roofs, and decorative brick cornices. The buildings are five, two, and one stories in height. The button factory closed in the mid-1920s.: 3, 16 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Temple B'rith Kodesh is a Reform Jewish synagogue located at 131 Elmwood Avenue, in the suburb of Brighton, in Rochester, Monroe County, New York, in the United States. It is the oldest synagogue and the largest Reform congregation in the greater Rochester area.

David Hagaman House is a historic home located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It was constructed about 1840 and is a typical example of vernacular Greek Revival style rural domestic architecture in Western New York. The main block is a 2+1⁄2-story brick structure with a gable roof.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Cobbs Hill Reservoir is a reservoir located in Cobbs Hill Park in Rochester, New York, United States. The reservoir is used to supply drinking water to the city of Rochester. The source of the water is Hemlock Lake, which lies 30 miles due south of and 400 feet higher elevation than Rochester.Construction was completed in 1908. The smaller Lake Riley north of it was part of the old Erie Canal system. I-490 now runs on the old canal bed here. The land comprising modern-day Cobbs Hill Park belonged to Gideon Cobb, an earlier settler of Rochester. The land was acquired by the city through various land purchases, and donations. The largest donation was the remaining 15 acres crowning the hilltop of Cobbs Hill. The granite gatehouse atop the hill was designed by architect J. Foster Warner in Greek Revival style. The structure featured a wide portico with an ornate drinking fountain. With its surrounding iron fencing and Parisian lamp posts, the 12.8 acre reservoir further added to the landscape of Cobbs Hill. Animated by a fountain, the reservoir reportedly has the sitting capacity to fill every bath tub in Rochester, NY, twice daily, for two months.An overlook was developed in consultation with the agency of Frederick Law Olmsted— the firm responsible for creating the Rochester Parks system in the late 1880s. Olmsted executives urged the city to maintain this bluff to provide citizens with unobtrusive skyline views.A refectory, with cafeteria and observation deck, once stood on the site now occupied by a radio tower. Funded by The New Deal in 1933, the refectory hosted thousands of people a year through the mid-twentieth century. A beacon mounted to the observatory helped guide planes to the Greater Rochester International Airport. Cobbs Hill Park remains a Rochester feature into the twenty-first century, and is used by joggers running the reservoir trail, sled riders gliding down the hill, sports enthusiasts playing on the athletic fields, or people partaking in the views or nature walks.

The Cinema Theater is a motion picture theater in Rochester, New York. Opened as a neighborhood motion picture theater in 1914, it is one of the oldest continuously operated motion picture theaters in the United States. The theater is located at the corner of South Clinton Avenue and South Goodman Street in Rochester.
