Miller's Tavern, Virginia

The Millers Tavern Rural Historic District encompasses a large rural landscape in western Essex County, Virginia, extending partly into eastern King and Queen County. In an area of 3,900 acres (1,600 ha) is a landscape that has seen only modest alterations since the 17th century, with predominantly agricultural uses persisting. Most of the farm properties in the district are modest, with vernacular building stock dating from the late 18th century to the mid-20th century. Sprinkled throughout the district are a few churches and grist mills, as well as the eponymous Miller's Tavern. The district is roughly bounded by U.S. Route 360 and Howerton, Dunbrooke, Latanes Mill, and Midway Rds.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The district is sometimes referred to as "America's First District" since it includes the Historic Triangle of Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. In the 18th and early 19th century, it comprised northwestern Virginia (that became Frederick County, Virginia as well as the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia after the American Civil War). The district includes major military installations and has been represented by Republican Rob Wittman since 2007. In 2016, the adjacent 3rd district was ruled unconstitutional. New districts have been drawn.

Farmington is a historic plantation house located near St. Stephens Church, King and Queen County, Virginia. The original structure was built about 1795, and later enlarged and modified to its present form in 1859–1860. It is a large two-story frame house, with a low-pitch hip roof and deep eaves. It has a two-story rear addition on the building's southwest side and a one-story addition on the southeast side. Also on the property are a contributing large braced-frame barn, a weaving house, and an overseer's house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Brays Fork, also known as Brays, is an unincorporated community in Essex County, in the U.S. state of Virginia.

Marriott School is a historic school building located near St. Stephens Church, King and Queen County, Virginia. The original section was built in 1938, and is a one-story, five-bay, brick structure, flanked by a pair of four-bay wings in the Colonial Revival style. The front entrance is flanked by Doric order pilasters supporting a triangular entablature, the pediment of which is stuccoed. An addition was built in 1959. The school closed in 1992, and subsequently housed the King & Queen Branch of the Pamunkey Regional Library. The library moved to a new location in 2001.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
