1600 Pacific Tower

The Singer Building is a 3-story commercial structure located at 1514 Elm Street in the Main Street District in Downtown Dallas, Texas. The structure is one of a handful of original early commercial structures along Elm Street; many others were demolished and replaced by large office blocks during various building booms.

The Joule Hotel is a five-star, 164-room hotel developed by Headington Hotels, owned by Timothy Headington. Located at 1530 Main Street, between Akard Street and Ervay Street, the building was constructed in 1927 as the Dallas National Bank Building, and was known later as the SPG Building. At the end of Stone Street Plaza, it is in the Main Street District of downtown Dallas, Texas, and with the Kirby Building, one of two Gothic high-rises in the city. Its 10th floor pool cantilevers eight feet over the easement below, and was designed by ARCHITEXAS (Architecture, Planning and Historic Preservation, Inc). The interior was designed by Adam Tihany, and the lobby level is home to the Americano and CBD Provisions restaurants in addition to Weekend Coffee. Cocktail bar Midnight Rambler occupies the basement and features decor based on the bar from Stanley Kubrick's The Shining and David Lynch's Silencio Club.From 2005 through 2007, evidence of a fire was discovered during ongoing renovations of the building next to the Joule. According to pictures available at the Dallas Public Library, in 1951, a significant fire occurred at the National Shirt Shop and Manuel's Cleaners, former businesses directly to the East of the Dallas National Bank building.

Eye, also known as the Giant Eyeball, is a public sculpture of a blue eye in Dallas, Texas, in the city's Main Street District. The gated grounds around the sculpture, formerly home to the Praetorian Building and currently owned by The Joule Hotel, are used as a private event space. It is located on 1601 Main Street and is made of fiberglass, resin, and steel detailed with oil paint.

Santander Tower is a 50-story, 197 m (646 ft) skyscraper at 1601 Elm Street adjacent to Thanks-Giving Square in downtown Dallas Texas. At its completion in 1982, it was the second tallest building in Dallas, surpassing Elm Place. One year later, with the completion of 1700 Pacific, it became the third tallest, and it is currently the 8th-tallest building in the city. The building is connected to the Dallas Pedestrian Network and the Bullington Truck Terminal. Santander Tower is owned and managed by Woods Capital, and it was designed by the architecture firm HKS Architects. Formerly known as the Thanks-Giving Tower, it was renamed in 2020 after Banco Santander.In mid-2022 it was announced that 12 of the 50 floors will be converted into 228 residential units with building ownership citing post-pandemic housing demand and a weakened office market as the catalysts for the adaptive reuse project.

Thanks-Giving Square is a private park and public facility anchoring the Thanksgiving Commercial Center district of downtown Dallas, Texas, United States. Dedicated in 1976, the complex consists of three components: a landscaped garden and non-denominational chapel building, a major section of the underground pedestrian network, and the Bullington Truck Terminal. It was the first public-private partnership of its kind in Dallas. After a lengthy global search, Peter Stewart, a Dallas businessman and one of the founders of the Thanks-Giving Foundation, chose architect Philip Johnson to design the project.A symbolic structure was the key part of the program for the square, and it became pretty obvious soon that some of these top architects didn't have the background or feeling for the building that I envisaged would carry great meaning for another two hundred years.

The Praetorian Building, also known as Stone Place Tower, was a 15-story, 58 m (190 ft) high-rise constructed in 1909 at Main Street and Stone Street in the Main Street District of downtown Dallas, Texas. It was regarded the first skyscraper in Texas and the first skyscraper in the Southwestern United States. It was among the first skyscrapers built in the entire Western United States, following the 1885 Lumber Exchange Building in Minneapolis, Minnesota and other taller towers in Minneapolis, San Francisco, Omaha, and Kansas City.However, the Praetorian Building remained the tallest building in Dallas only until 1912. It was 190 feet (58 meters) tall with 15 floors of office space. Plans for its redevelopment were eventually disbanded and the building's deconstruction was completed in the summer of 2013.

The Kirby Building, historically known as the Busch Building, is a 17-story skyscraper in the Main Street District of Downtown Dallas. The structure was completed in 1913 by beer magnate Adolphus Busch to accompany his nearby Hotel Adolphus. The building became vacant with many older buildings during the economic downturn of the 1980s. While the building was symbolic of downtown's crash in the 1980s, it also served as a symbol of the start of the resurrection as it became the first high-rise to be converted from office use to residential apartments. The structure is a Dallas Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Energy Plaza is a skyscraper in the City Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas, United States, north of Thanks-Giving Square at 1601 Bryan Street. Designed by I.M. Pei and Partners, the building is 192 m (630 ft) and 49 stories, making it the ninth-tallest building in Dallas. The building itself is based on a design using three triangles. The communications tower at the top of the building is a small version of the Star Tower broadcast tower line from Landmark Tower Company, which went bankrupt after its owner and chief design engineer died from a heart attack in 2002. Construction on the building began in May 1980 and the building opened in August 1983 for the Atlantic Richfield Company to be used as their regional headquarters. The structure's original name was the ARCO Tower. Energy Future Holdings, Oncor Electric Delivery, and FuelcoLLC.com, are the primary tenants. Other notable tenants include Civitas Capital Management LLC. The building is connected to the Dallas Pedestrian Network and the Bullington Truck Terminal.

Energy Future Holdings Corporation is an electric utility company headquartered in Energy Plaza in Downtown Dallas, Texas, United States. The majority of the company's power generation is through coal and nuclear power plants. From 1998 to 2007, the company was known as TXU Corporation until its $45 billion leveraged buyout by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, TPG Capital and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners. That purchase was the largest leveraged buyout in history. As of 2019, TXU Energy is a subsidiary of publicly traded Vistra Energy. As of February 2013, the company has been described as "struggling" which resulted in the April 29, 2014 filing for bankruptcy protection under Title 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. On July 7, 2017, the company announced its Oncor transmission business would be acquired by Berkshire Hathaway for $9 billion but Sempra Energy's higher $9.45 billion bid was eventually accepted instead on August 21, 2017.

The Sanger–Harris Building is a building in downtown Dallas that was opened in 1965 as the flagship location of Sanger–Harris department store. In 1987, Sanger–Harris merged with Foley's and the building continued to operate as the Foley's Dallas flagship store. It was closed in 1990 while Foley's was opening newer locations in the area. It is currently the headquarters for Dallas Area Rapid Transit.

Allen Brooks was a Black American man, who was lynched by a mob on March 3, 1910, in Dallas, Texas. Brooks, in his 60s, had been accused of raping a young white girl, and on the day he was set to face trial at the Dallas County Courthouse, a large mob pulled him by rope out of a second-story window at the courthouse, dragged him to Elks Arch, and hanged him from a telephone pole. The site of Brooks' lynching was unmarked for 111 years until a nonprofit placed a historical marker in 2021. The organization Remembering Black Dallas planned activities and programs for local high school students, with scholarships that support students writing on the history of racist violence and the civil rights movement in Dallas. Financial support for the marker and the scholarships was provided by the Equal Justice Initiative.

Pegasus Plaza is a public park located in downtown Dallas, Texas. Located at the corner of Akard and Main Street in the Main Street District, the plaza takes its name from Pegasus, the iconic sign atop the adjacent Magnolia Hotel and the mythical flying horse. The shaded plaza includes several fountains and is used for concerts, festivals and Christmas celebrations.
