Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is a 50 acres (200,000 m2), botanical garden in Henrico County, just outside of Richmond, Virginia. It features over a dozen themed gardens, a conservatory, library, and café. Regular daily admission is $17 for adults, $14 for seniors, $8 for children (age 3–12), under age 3 are free. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is part of the Museums for All program offering $1 adult admission (free for kids) and $5 annual membership to those with a SNAP/EBT card. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden also hosts select days, typically July 4 and Labor Day, where admission is free to the community. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden offers an indoor butterfly exhibit Butterflies LIVE!, seasonal exhibitions, art exhibitions, special events and seasonal evening hours with live music. Tours, classes and select special events typically have an additional fee.

The Bloemendaal House, originally the Lakeside Wheel Club, is a clubhouse in Richmond, Virginia originally built by Lewis Ginter in 1895.Around 1911, after the "cycle" fell out of vogue, Ginter's niece, Grace Arents, converted the structure into a convalescent home for poor children suffering from tuberculosis and other city-borne illnesses. She remodeled the building and had a second story added. After the founding of the Instructional Visiting Nurses Association, the convalescent home was no longer needed. In 1913, Grace Arents transformed it into a home for herself and her companion, Mary Garland Smith. Grace Arents named the place Bloemendaal, in homage to the Ginter family's Dutch ancestors (Bloemendaal means "valley of flowers" and she planted gardens on the property). Grace Arents died in 1926 and left the property to the City of Richmond, with the stipulation that after Smith died it was to be developed into a botanical garden honoring Lewis Ginter. Smith died in 1968 on her 97th birthday.The city of Richmond took possession of the property, but it languished. Later, the property and its gardens were rescued by botanists, horticulturists and passionate citizens, who formed the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Inc. Now, the Bloemendaal House is part of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.

Joseph Bryan Park, also known as Bryan Park, is a public park in the city of Richmond, Virginia. The park was a memorial to Joseph Bryan (1845–1908), the founder and publisher of the Richmond Times-Dispatch newspaper. It was given to the city in 1910 by Belle Stewart Bryan and her family.The park is open daily without charge. There is a network of hiking/biking trails throughout the park. Bryan Park has been the venue for the Richmond Vegetarian Festival every year from 2003 through 2018.Adjacent to the park is the Bryan Park Interchange, the intersection of I-95, I-64, and I-195

The Brook Road Marker, Jefferson Davis Highway is a commemorative marker on the Jefferson Davis Highway, in Henrico County, Virginia, outside of Richmond, Virginia. The Jefferson Davis Highway was conceived and marked by the United Daughters of the Confederacy, as a counter to the Lincoln Highway in the north, during 1913–1925. In that era, named highways were being marked as automobile travel increased, and the advent of numbered highways eventually loomed.: 14  The marker was placed in North Richmond Brook Road, south of Hilliard Road, in 1927. It is one of the earliest, out of 16, that were placed to mark the highway in Virginia by the United Daughters of the Confederacy.: 7  It is a 42-inch-high (1.1 m) gray granite stone, with a slanted top, and a bronze plaque.: 12 It is one of a number of markers studied in a National Park Service study, UDC Commemorative Highway Markers along the Jefferson Davis Highway in Virginia.

The Richmond Staples Mill Road Amtrak station is located in unincorporated Henrico County, about 5 miles (8 km) north of downtown Richmond. The station was designed by David Volkert and Associates, and was built in 1975 as a replacement for Main Street Station in downtown Richmond, which had been heavily damaged by flooding from Hurricane Agnes. At its opening, it also inherited trains that had called at Richmond's other former union station, Broad Street Station, with a bus connection to the short-lived Richmond–Ellerson Street Station. Although limited Amtrak service returned to Main Street Station in December 2003, Staples Mill Road remains the primary rail station for the Richmond area, and all Richmond trains make a stop there. Richmond Main Street Station only sees trains that terminate there or at Newport News, since the other trains bypass downtown Richmond to the west. The station has an indoor waiting room with restrooms, a snack bar, and a ticket window. In 2023, renovations began to modernize the waiting room and restroom.

Holly Lawn, also known as the Richmond Council of Garden Clubs House, is a historic home located in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1901, and is a large 2+1⁄2-story, Queen Anne style buff-colored brick dwelling with an irregular plan and massing. It features a one-story, wrap-around porch; a two-story entrance tower topped by a pyramidal roof; and a hipped roof broken by gable-, hipped-, and conical roofed dormers with square casement windows. Holly Lawn was built for Andrew Bierne Blair, a prominent Richmond insurance agent.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Pine Camp is a neighborhood in Richmond, Virginia's North Side. The area is heavily forested, and houses the Pine Camp Community Center, one of the largest recreational centers in Northern Richmond. The neighborhood is north of John Marshall High School and west of the Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Hermitage Road Historic District (HRHD) is a Northside neighborhood in the independent city of Richmond, Virginia. The district is a Richmond Old and Historic District, as well as being listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places. The historic district consists of properties built in different architectural styles (Victorian, Tudor, Arts and Crafts, Georgian, Colonial Revival, etc.) located in the 3800 to 4300 blocks of Hermitage Road, this portion of which is designated as State Route 161, which crosses over Interstate 95 at the north end of the 4300 block.

Dumbarton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Henrico County, Virginia, United States. The population was 7,879 at the 2010 census.

Chamberlayne Gardens is a historic apartment complex located in Richmond, Virginia. The complex was built in 1945–1946, and consists of 52 Colonial Revival style brick buildings, attached in 16 groups. They have four building plans, are two to three stories in height and contain a total of 216 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The buildings alternate in either red or buff-colored brick, and have either a gabled slate roof (most common) or a flat roof with parapet ends capped with the original tile. The complex was designed by Norfolk architect Bernard Betzig Spigel and built under the auspices of the Federal Housing Administration.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Pine Camp Hospital originally opened as Pine Camp Home for Consumptives, on 28 Nov 1910. It operated as a tuberculosis hospital from 1910 to 1957. The complex is located on Old Brook Road, near Ginter Park in Richmond, Virginia. Over time the original structures were replaced with a two-story Central Building (1932) and a one-story, Bungalow-style Administration Building (1932). Both buildings are constructed of structural tile covered with plaster. Also on the property is a contributing one-story, stuccoed masonry laundry and garage building (1922). After 1957 the property was converted for use as a recreation center.The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003."Pine Camp Open. New Tuberculosis Home Begins With Eight Patients. Pine Camp Home for Consumptives, on the Brook Road, about a mile beyond Ginter Park, was opened yesterday morning with eight inmates in attendance. Dr. Giles B. Cook, chief physician, and Miss Florence Black, the nurse in charge were there to take charge of the new arrivals, who were immediately made comfortable. There are many other applications for admission into the camp, but until certain details are worked out only who came in yesterday will be taken care of. The Lean-to as the building is called, is designed to accommodate twenty persons and it is expected to be full in a few weeks. Besides taking advance cases of tuberculosis, the camp is designed also to prevent the spread of the disease.
