The Friends Meetinghouse and School is an historic Quaker meeting house and adjacent school building at the corner of Schermerhorn Street and Boerum Place in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. The meeting house, at 110 Schermerhorn Street, was built in 1857 and is a 3+1⁄2-story building built of red brick with brownstone details. Its design is attributed to Charles T. Bunting.The school, located at 112 Schermerhorn Street, was built in 1902 and is a three-story red brick building located adjacent to the meeting house, at 112 Schermerhorn Street. It was designed by William Tubby, a prominent Brooklyn architect, to house the Brooklyn Friends School. Tubby was himself a Quaker and an early graduate of the school.The meeting house remains in regular use as a house of worship by the Brooklyn Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. The Brooklyn Friends School moved to another site nearby in 1973. As of 2015, the school building houses Brooklyn Frontiers High School, an alternative school operated by the New York City Department of Education. The meeting house was designated a New York City landmark in 1981, and the meeting house and school together were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Brooklyn Frontiers High School is an alternative high school operated by the New York City Board of Education which opened in 2011. It is located in Brooklyn, New York at 112 Schermerhorn Street, a 1902 building that was designed by William Tubby to house the Brooklyn Friends School and that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Pacific High School was housed in the same building from sometime prior to 1992 until its closing in 2012.Brooklyn Frontiers High school is an NYC DOE transfer school that serves both students entering high school from middle school two years overage as well as students who have already attended high school at another location and want a new start. The school is run in partnership with Good Shepherd Services.

The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Sts. Constantine and Helen, more simply Sts. Constantine and Helen Cathedral (though known by Greek Orthodox parishioners from other churches as NAK) is a Greek Orthodox cathedral church at 64 Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn, New York. It is best known for taking in parishioners from St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Manhattan, destroyed during the September 11 attacks. Founded in 1913, it was the first Greek Orthodox parish on Long Island, and is one of the oldest Greek Orthodox churches in the City of New York. After meeting for several years in a small building at Johnson and Lawrence streets, the community raised funds to build a new structure, whose cornerstone was laid April 16, 1916. Fire damaged the building in 1991, but repairs have been made and the building restored. The Church also is affiliated with A. Fantis Parochial School, which was established in 1963, 50 years after the church, and which is located right behind the church. The Church is half a block west of the New York Transit Museum. The church was expanded in 1946 and again in 1960. It was designated Brooklyn's cathedral in June 1966.

The Brooklyn Detention Complex (originally the Brooklyn House of Detention) is a jail facility located at 275 Atlantic Avenue, in Brooklyn. It can hold up to 815 male prisoners in its single cells. Most of the population is made up of detainees undergoing the intake process or awaiting trial in Kings or Richmond County.Built in the 1950s, the jail closed in 2003 due to a declining inmate population. It was reopened in 2012 after renovations with 544 staff.In 2017, New York City committed to closing the jails on Rikers Island and creating a network of modern borough-based jails instead. The Brooklyn Detention Center was designated as one of the jails that be used to replace Rikers. In August 2018, the city released a Draft Scope of Work to outlining their plan for the new jail, which would tear down the existing 162,000 sq ft. facility and replace it with a building eight times as large (1.4 million sq ft.) and up to 40 stories tall.

The Brooklyn Academy of Fine Arts was a small, short-lived art academy located at 85 Court Street in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The sole instructor at the academy was Michael Falanga. The school closed in 1945.

The Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Municipal Building (previously the Brooklyn Municipal Building) was built in 1924. Designed by McKenzie, Voorhees & Gmelin, the construction cost $5,800,000. It is located at 210 Joralemon Street. It contains a branch of the New York City Clerk's office (including a detail of the New York City Marriage Bureau) and branch offices for the Departments of Buildings, Probation, Finance, and Environmental Protection. In July 2012, the Landmark Preservation Commission approved an upgrade to the first few stories and add much commercial signage. In 2016, renovation was done on two cellar levels and two floors.

Boerum Place was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line. The Fulton Street Elevated was built by the Kings County Elevated Railway Company and this station started service on April 24, 1888. The station had 2 tracks and 1 island platform. It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line, and until 1920, trains of the BMT Brighton Line. This station was served by steam locomotives between 1888 and 1899. In 1898, the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company (BRT) absorbed the Kings County Elevated Railway, and it took over the Fulton Street El, and it was electrified on July 3, 1899. It closed on June 1, 1940, when all service from Fulton Ferry and Park Row to Rockaway Avenue was abandoned, as it came under city ownership.

Gage and Tollner is a restaurant on 372 Fulton Street in the Downtown Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City. It had been in business since 1879 and in the same location since 1892 until it closed on February 14, 2004. The restaurant reopened in April 2021. The building, originally a residence, has been in existence since 1875. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a New York City designated landmark.

The Park Theatre was a playhouse in Brooklyn, New York City, located on 381–383 Fulton Street. Built in 1860 and opened in 1863, the Park Theatre was the oldest playhouse in Brooklyn until it was destroyed by fire on November 12, 1908.

75 Livingston Street, also known as the Court Chambers Building, or the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce Building, is a 30-story 343 ft (105 m) residential cooperative tower located in Downtown Brooklyn, New York. The building was designed by architect Abraham J. Simberg, and built in 1926. The building was initially designed to have a dining room on the terrace of the 25th floor and to be 430 ft high (131 m).At one time in the past, the structure was called the Court-Livingston, due to its alternate street address of 66 Court Street. Originally constructed as an office tower, the building was converted into cooperative apartments in 1981. In 2010 the building was included in the Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District, which would landmark it, as well as several of the surrounding buildings. This inclusion came with disagreements from many residents of the building who claimed that, not only was the building's architecture not significant enough to merit landmark status, but also argued that the status would be financially adverse for those living in the building. However, the building was included in the Historic District and was landmarked in 2011.
