Tooele, Utah

The Tooele Carnegie Library, located at 47 E. Vine St. in Tooele, Utah, was built in 1911 and includes Classical Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It was funded by a $5,000 Carnegie grant. As of 1984, it was one of 16 surviving Carnegie libraries out of 23 that had been funded in Utah.It is adjacent to the Tooele County Courthouse and City Hall, which is also NRHP-listed.

The Tooele County Courthouse and City Hall, located at 39 E. Vine St. in Tooele, Utah, was built in 1867. It includes Greek Revival-inspired architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is significant as the earliest (as known in 1983) and only surviving "temple-form" city hall in the state of Utah. According to its NRHP nomination, the "temple-form, which typically has its short end to the street and a pedimented gable facade in imitation of monumental classical buildings, originated in the Greek Revival period of American building, and was the first and most common building type used in Utah's early public buildings.": 3  The building served as courthouse and city hall from 1867 to 1899 and continued as city hall until 1944.

Tooele Technical College is a public technical school in Tooele, Utah. It is part of the Utah System of Technical Colleges. Tooele Technical College offers high school students and adults living in Tooele County programs in Business, Health Care, Information, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Service Industry Technologies.

The Peter Clegg House, at 8 South 100 East in Tooele, Utah, was built in 1903. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.It is a two-story "Central-Block-with-Projecting-Bays"-type single family house, with Victorian Eclectic style.It was deemed significant in part for its association with the life of Peter Clegg.

The Kirk Hotel, in Tooele, Utah, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.It was built during 1927-28 and converted into apartments in 1973.It was listed as "one of Tooele’s most important historic buildings" built to provide lodging related for a significant local industry, mining and smelting. The structure "was important to small-town life"

The Tooele Valley Railroad Complex, 35 N. Broadway in Tooele, Utah, dates from 1909. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The complex is currently operated as the Tooele Valley Museum and Historic Park (formerly Tooele Valley Railroad Museum and prior to that as the Tooele County Museum). Opened in 1983, the museum is operated by the city and features preserved locomotives, equipment and artifacts from the Tooele Valley Railway, International Smelting and Refining Company, and other railroad & mining artifacts.The complex is significant for its historic role in conversion of Tooele from a farming-based to an industrial town. The railroad depot was the headquarters of the Tooele Valley Railway; and is the most significant surviving artifact with association to the smelter east of Tooele that operated from 1910 to 1972.The listing included three contributing buildings and four contributing objects.

Tooele High School is a secondary school located in Tooele, Utah, United States currently educating students in grades 9–12. Operated by the Tooele County School District, Tooele High enrolls approximately 1,800 students each year. The Tooele High mascot is the White Buffalo.

Utah State University Tooele is a part of the Utah State University Statewide Campuses located in Tooele, Utah offering a number of Associate, bachelor's and master's degrees as well as certificate programs and a Doctor of Education program. Classes are taught online, face-to-face, and interactive broadcast. USU Tooele has 10 full-time faculty members in addition to the several adjunct professors who collectively teach more than 300 classes. The campus provides academic advising and free tutoring.

Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) is a United States Army Joint Munitions Command post in Tooele County, Utah. It serves as a storage site for war reserve and training ammunition. The depot stores, issues, receives, renovates, modifies, maintains and demilitarizes conventional munitions. The depot also serves as the National Inventory Control Point for ammunition peculiar equipment, developing, fabricating, modifying, storing and distributing such equipment to all services and other customers worldwide. TEAD provides base support to Deseret Chemical Depot.Tooele Army Depot originally opened in 1942 during the early phase of U.S. involvement in World War II. The workforce at the post is now primarily composed of civilians. A full colonel serves as the commander. As of July 2022, Colonel Eric B. Dennis is the depot's commander.

The Deseret Peak Utah Temple is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints under construction in Tooele, Utah. Plans to construct a temple in Tooele Valley were announced on April 7, 2019 by church president Russell M. Nelson, during the church's general conference. The temple will be the first in Tooele County and the 21st in the state of Utah. The Deseret Peak Utah Temple will be located on the corner of 2400 North and 400 West in Tooele. The temple was originally announced as the "Tooele Valley Utah Temple" and was to be located in Erda, at the intersection of Erda Way and State Route 36. The change came after community pressure to not include some of the other intended residential development, and locals threatened a referendum to alter the area's zoning. The relocated temple plans are expected to follow the same design as previously announced, with three stories and about 70,000 square feet. A 20,000-square-foot meetinghouse will be built adjacent to the temple.

Pine Canyon, also known as Lincoln, is a township in Tooele County, Utah, United States. It was established in 1876 at the mouth of Pine Canyon, which is what gave the community its name. A post office was also established in the town.
