Annetta, Texas

Annetta South is a town in Parker County, Texas, United States. The population was 621 in 2020.The town split from Annetta and incorporated in the 1980s, at which time it had a population of 115.

Annetta North is a town in eastern Parker County, Texas, United States, on FM 5. The population was 554 in 2020.The Town of Annetta North split from Annetta and was incorporated on August 11, 1979. Phyllis M. Studer was elected as its first mayor. As of April 2018 the mayor is Robert Schmidt.Annetta North is a small town that is mostly residential and farmland. There is only one church building, and the only other public places in the town are a car repair shop and riding arena. Both the Clear Fork and the South Fork of the Trinity River pass through the town, as well as Burgess Creek and the Dixon Branch. O'Neal Cemetery is located within the town limits as well.

Aledo High School is a public high school located in Aledo, Texas, United States and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. It is part of the Aledo Independent School District located in south central Parker County. Along with Aledo, students attend from the towns of Annetta and Annetta South as well as portions of Annetta North, Hudson Oaks, and Willow Park. In 2018, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency with a two star distinction in Mathematics and Social Studies.

Trinity Meadows Race Track was a large American horse racing track located in Willow Park, Parker County, Texas. The track operated in the 1960s without gambling as Clear Fork Downs, and was later named Squaw Creek Downs. The new owner renamed the track Trinity Meadows and was one of the first horse racing tracks opened once Texas legalized parimutuel betting. The track opened in May 1991 with first year profit of $1.8 million and $1.3 the following year. Once nearby Lone Star Park opened, attendance plummeted and Trinity Meadows closed on August 6, 1996. The property was sold in 1997 at a bankruptcy auction. The structures have since been demolished.

Willow Park is a city in Parker County, Texas, United States. The population was 4,936 in 2020.Willow Park was the location of Trinity Meadows Race Track, one of the first horse racing tracks opened once Texas legalized parimutuel betting. However, it was never seriously considered for upgrade to first-class status, and once Lone Star Park opened, Trinity Meadows Race Track closed. It is home to Squaw Creek golf course, located just off Ranch House Road. KTVT, Channel 11 in Fort Worth operates a 1 million watt doppler radar in Willow Park.

Hudson Oaks is a city in Parker County, Texas, United States located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The population was 2,174 in 2020.

Lake Weatherford is a lake located in Weatherford, Texas. The lake stands to the north-east of the city, north of Hudson Oaks and Willow Park. The Clear Fork of the Trinity River flows into the lake.

The Ridglea Theater is a single-screen theater located in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, which opened in December 1950. Its primary owner was the Interstate theater chain, and the first movie shown was Pretty Baby. The theater is well known for its Mission/Spanish Revival facade and 70-foot stone tower. In 1990, a Dallas-based investment company acquired the theater for 1.85 million dollars, and the Maulsby trust purchased the building in 1991. The theater is currently going through a multimillion-dollar renovation. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 30, 2011.

Anderson Private School for the Gifted, Talented and Creative is a private school in Fort Worth, Texas. The school accepts students ages 4–16 and does not use grade levels. Students by 16 are typically dual enrolled in Anderson and a local college. Typically the total student body is 20–25.

The district also contains Texas Christian University. Fragments of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex are included in the district. The district is currently represented by Republican Kay Granger, who was first elected in 1996.
