Llanbedr-y-Cennin

Tal-y-Bont is a small village in Conwy County Borough, Wales and lies in the Conwy Valley, west of the River Conwy, on the B5106 road, 6 mi (9.7 km) from the town of Conwy to the north, and six miles from Llanrwst to the south, and in the community of Caerhun. It lies adjacent to the village of Dolgarrog to the south, and below the small settlement of Llanbedr-y-Cennin to the west. The population is around 400. The 'Bont' (the mutated form of pont, Welsh for "bridge") in the name probably refers to the bridge over the Afon Dulyn, a tributary of the nearby River Conwy, which runs through the village. The village is served by buses and the nearby Dolgarrog railway station. Castell, the oldest section of Tal-y-Bont, has a bar/restaurant and a 5-acre garden centre. The village also has a shop and post office and a café, formerly Y Bedol Pub.

Afon Porth-llwyd is a river in Snowdonia in north-west Wales. It flows from Llyn Eigiau on the south-eastern edge of the Carneddau range to join the river Conwy. Its waters are trapped at Coedty reservoir before flowing down to pass under Pont Newydd in Dolgarrog. From Coedty reservoir some water is also diverted to Dolgarrog Power station (along with water from Llyn Cowlyd) via large black pipes.

Afon Dulyn (English : River Dulyn) is the outflow from Llyn Dulyn, a lake in the Carneddau mountains in north-west Wales. It is a tributary of the river Conwy. Just below Afon Dulyn the river is joined by Afon Melynllyn, a small river flowing from neighbouring Llyn Melynllyn. The river does not carry a great deal of water because water is transferred from Llyn Dulyn to the reservoirs of Llyn Eigiau and Llyn Cowlyd.

Dolgarrog is a village and community in Conwy County Borough, in Wales, situated between Llanrwst and Conwy, very close to the Conwy River. The village is well known for its industrial history since the 18th century and the Eigiau dam disaster, which occurred in 1925. The population was 414 at the 2001 Census, increasing to 446 at the 2011 Census. The community extends up to, and includes part of, Llyn Cowlyd in the Carneddau. The village is served by Dolgarrog railway station, a halt on the other side of the river Conwy, The bridge allowing access to the station was slated for closure in 2021 due to it being structurally unsafe, but reopened after repairs in 2023.Surf Snowdonia, the world's first commercial artificial surfing lake, is located in Dolgarrog on the site of the old aluminium factory. Across the valley is the crag of Cadair Ifan Goch.

Dolgarrog Power Station in Dolgarrog, Wales was originally built in 1907 as part of an aluminium smelting plant. It uses water turbines to drive electricity alternators. Public supplies began in 1922 when power lines were constructed to transmit electricity from the power station to Colwyn Bay, Conwy and Llandudno. The station was vested in the British Electricity Authority and its successors following nationalisation in 1948. It is currently (2021) operated by RWE NPower UK.

Coed Gorswen National Nature Reserve lies on the lower slopes of the Conwy Valley, in the vicinity of Rowen and Llanbedr-y-Cennin. Its gentle landscape of small woodlands, grazed fields and lattice of hedgerows creates an attractive and peaceful lowland scene. Boulders up to the size of cars scattered across the reserve provide striking evidence of Ice Age activity. Its bouldery nature is perhaps what protected the woodland over the centuries as surrounding land was cleared for human use.

Caerhun (Welsh: Caerhûn) is a scattered rural community, and former civil parish, on the west bank of the River Conwy. It lies to the south of Henryd and the north of Dolgarrog, in Conwy County Borough, Wales, and includes several small villages and hamlets including Llanbedr-y-cennin, Rowen, Tal-y-bont and Ty'n-y-groes. It was formerly in the historic county of Caernarvonshire. At the 2001 census, it had a population of 1,200, increasing to 1,292 at the 2011 census. It includes a large part of the Carneddau range including the lakes of Llyn Eigiau, Llyn Dulyn and Llyn Melynllyn.

Adventure Parc Snowdonia, formerly Surf Snowdonia is an adventure park and tourist attraction, incorporating an artificial wave pool, at Dolgarrog in the picturesque Conwy valley, north Wales, owned by Conwy Adventure Leisure Ltd. It is the world's first commercial artificial surfing lake. The site cost a total of £12 million and opened in August 2015.

Canovium was a fort in the Roman province of Britannia. Its site is located at Caerhun in the Conwy valley, in the county borough of Conwy, in North Wales.

Pen y Gaer (or Pen-y-gaer) is the location of a Bronze Age and Iron Age hillfort near the village of Llanbedr-y-Cennin in the Conwy valley, Wales. A natural defensive site, it had a long history of occupation, indicated by the complexity of the defences, which were amended over time. There are two Bronze Age cairns on the north-west slope, and extensive prehistoric and later field systemsare nearby. The remains as seen today are mostly of Iron Age origin, but further earthworks, probably of medieval origin, lie on the south-eastern slopes. The remains of the two walls of stone can be seen, as can those of a chevaux-de-frise. The entrance is to the west, and access can be gained from a car park, reached by the road from the village.

The Eigiau Tramway might refer to the Eigiau Quarry Tramway or to the Eigiau Reservoir Tramway.

The Afon Roe is a small river in Snowdonia in north-west Wales.Its tributary is the Afon Tafolog, which drains the eastern slopes of Drum, a mountain in the Carneddau range. The river flows through the village of Rowen before joining the River Conwy.
