Red Oak High School is a 5A high school located in Red Oak, Texas, United States. It is part of the Red Oak Independent School District located in far north central Ellis County. In 2012, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.The Red Oak ISD has recently built a new facility for the school, located west and across the street from the current school. The new school also connects to nearby Texas State Highway 342, the main north-south highway through Red Oak.

Glenn Heights Park & Ride is a small bus-only station located west of I-35E in Glenn Heights, Texas (USA) and is under ownership of Dallas Area Rapid Transit. It is the southernmost transit center in the DART system. The facility is alternatively known as the Ferris Red Oak Municipal Heliport.The heliport is jointly owned by both cities, although the listed owner address is in Ferris, and it is maintained by City of Ferris Public Works.The heliport is used solely for general aviation purposes.
