Community High School is a public high school located approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Nevada, Texas (USA). It is part of the Community Independent School District which covers much of southeastern Collin County. The district was a consolidation of schools in Nevada, Josephine, Copeville, and Lavon completed in 1948. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Copeville is an unincorporated community in southeastern Collin County, Texas, United States, along State Highway 78 near the east shore of Lavon Lake.

Josephine is a city in Collin and Hunt counties in the U.S. state of Texas. Its population was 812 at the 2010 census, with 755 residents in Collin County and 57 in Hunt County. By 2020, its population increased to 2,119.

Royse City is a city in Rockwall County in the U.S. state of Texas. It also extends into Collin and Hunt counties. The population was 2,957 at the 2000 census, rising to 9,349 in 2010. The estimated population in 2018 was 12,998. In 2020, its population grew to 13,508.

The Royse City Lodge No. 663 A.F. & A.M. is a historic Freemasonry lodge group and also the name of its historic building, at 102 S. Arch St. in Royse City, Texas. The building, built in 1925, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.The lodge group first met in 1888. The building has also served as the Royse City City Hall. It is a two-story brick building with Mission Revival architectural influences. The importance of the building in the community is described emphatically in its NRHP nomination:The Lodge also has a long and respected history in Royse City, Texas. Every citizen of Royse City has utilized the building for some purpose, either fraternal or political. Many of the other buildings were destroyed in a devastating fire in the 1930s and this building, in its dual role, has served the needs of every citizen of Royse City for three-quarters of a century. No other building has greater significance to the community or has been occupied by the original owners since construction. It is a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.

Lavon Lake is a freshwater reservoir located in southeast Collin County, Texas, on the East Fork of the Trinity River near Wylie, off State Highway 78. It is commonly called Lake Lavon for commercial and recreational purposes, but Lavon Lake is its official name according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It was originally called Lavon Reservoir.

Lavon Dam is located in Collin County, Texas on the East Fork of the Trinity River, about 3 miles east of Wylie and 22 miles northeast of Dallas. It was constructed to create the Lavon Lake and is named after the town of Lavon. Dams are generally named after the closest town near the structure.
