Saratoga, also known as the General Daniel Morgan House, is a historic plantation house near Boyce, Virginia. It was built in 1779 by Daniel Morgan, a general in the Continental Army best known for his victory over the British at the Battle of Cowpens in 1781. He named his estate after the American victory in the 1777 Battles of Saratoga, in which he also participated. The estate was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973. Privately owned, it is located about .5 miles south of Boyce on the west side of County Route 723, and is not open to the public.

Saratoga is an unincorporated community in Clarke County, Virginia. Saratoga lies to the south of Boyce. Saratoga gets its name from the home Daniel Morgan built here in 1782. The home itself is named for the American Revolutionary War battles of Saratoga, New York, in which Morgan played an important role.

Boyce Historic District is a national historic district located at Boyce, Clarke County, Virginia. It encompasses 154 contributing buildings in the town of Boyce. They include a variety of residential, commercial, and institutional buildings dating from 1880 to the 1920s. Notable buildings include the Boyce Colored School (1885), Mount Zion Baptist Church (1910), Simpson's Store and later Boyce Grocery, former Boyce Bank now used as the Town Hall (1908), Boyce railroad station (1913), Boyce United Methodist Church (1916), and Emmanuel Chapel Episcopal Church (1916).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Orland E. White Arboretum, officially the State Arboretum of Virginia, is an arboretum (172 acres) operated by the University of Virginia as part of the Blandy Experimental Farm (700 acres). It is located at 400 Blandy Farm Lane, Boyce, Virginia, and open to visitors daily from dawn to dusk without fee. Graham F. Blandy bequeathed 700 acres of his 900-acre estate known as Blandy Farm to Virginia to use horticultural research. The farm's first director, Orland Emile White, established the arboretum a year after Blandy's death and upon White's retirement in 1955 it was named in his honor. Early research focused on cytological reconstruction of plant phylogenies and the consequences of irradiation-induced mutations. It became the official State Arboretum in 1986. Today the arboretum is maintained primarily for environmental research and education for university, K-12 and general audiences. It contains more than 8,000 trees and woody shrubs, representing over 1,000 species and cultivated varieties of plants in 50 plant families. Of particular interest are its collection of boxwood cultivars (said to be the largest in North America) and its pine collection, representing over half of the world's species. Other arboretum features include a Ginkgo biloba grove (more than 300 trees), the Virginia Native Plant Trail (established 1997), extensive meadows, and plantings of azalea, beech, buckeye, catalpa, Cedar of Lebanon, crabapple, holly, lilac, linden, magnolia, maple, stuartia, and viburnum.

Lucky Hit is one of the oldest brick houses in southwestern Clarke County, Virginia. The double-pile (i.e. two rooms deep), central hallway house was built by Colonel Richard Kidder Meade around 1791, and was named by Meade in his belief that he had made a fortunate choice in his property. He previously resided at the log house Meadea. His children, including Bishop William Meade and Ann Randolph Meade Page, who were raised on this plantation established plantations nearby; many of the historic houses remain today. This property stayed in the Meade family until 1869.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Blandy Experimental Farm Historic District is a national historic district located adjacent to The Tuleyries at Boyce, Clarke County, Virginia. It encompasses 15 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 1 contributing structure. They include a large, two-story, brick slave's quarters built about 1825; a stone and brick stables that was later converted into a dwelling; a turn-of-the-20th-century farmhouse and its associated agricultural and domestic related outbuildings; a late-19th century vernacular hall-parlor-plan house; two historic dwelling sites; as well as orchards and fields of improved pasture.Graham F. Blandy bequeathed 700 acres of his approximately 900-acre estate to the University of Virginia, which accepted it after his death in 1926. The University began its program of agricultural biology at Blandy in 1927, and converted part of the landscape into an arboretum. Dr. Orland E. White planted began planting the Arboretum in 1929, and upon his retirement in 1955 it was named the Orland E. White Research Arboretum. In 1986, the Virginia general assembly designated the property the State Arboretum of Virginia.The slaves' quarters, referred to as the Quarters, was converted into laboratories and student and faculty housing. In 1941, the Quarters building was greatly enlarged with the addition of three Colonial Revival wings. This addition created a U-shaped building with the original Quarters section as the east wing. A research greenhouse was built at the same time.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Meadea is a historic home located at White Post, Clarke County, Virginia. It was built prior to 1760 consisting of just two rooms and loft. It had a central stone chimney with two hearths, one of which was dedicated to cooking. An aid to George Washington, Col. Richard Kidder Meade (1746-1805), of the American Revolutionary War, after the war, bought a large tract of land in the valley of Virginia on the advice of George Washington. Meadea, a small frontier cabin at the time, was included in the tract of land . The house was enlarged by adding to the west end of the cabin about 1784, to allow it to be a temporary home for Col. Meade and his family until a larger home (Lucky Hit) could be built. Bishop William Meade was born at Meadea and raised at Lucky Hit. Since 1784 the Meadea has undergone significantly reconstruction and renovation and it is now a 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay, log dwelling with a gable roof. The side of the house enclosing the cooking hearth was removed leaving it exposed. The hearth remains standing and is visible on at the east end of the home. The house rests on a stone foundation and has two attached stone chimneys, one at either end. Descendant of Col. Meade continue to live at Meadea. Meadea is the only remaining 18th century log building in White Post. Meadea was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 located in the White Post Historic District.

Huntingdon, also known as The Meadow, is a historic plantation house located near Boyce, Clarke County, Virginia. The original section was built about 1830, and is a two-story, five-bay, stone I-house dwelling with a gable roof. A rear ell was added around 1850, making a T-shaped house. Also on the property are a contributing pyramidal roofed mid-19th-century smokehouse and a stone-lined ice pit with a late 19th-century, square-notched log icehouse.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

White Post is an unincorporated community in Clarke County, Virginia. White Post is located at the crossroads of White Post Road and Berrys Ferry Road off Lord Fairfax Highway (U.S. Route 340). In the 1730s, Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron (1693–1781), the major landowner in the lower Shenandoah Valley through an inheritance from his mother Catherine Culpeper, Lady Fairfax, settled here and built his "Greenway Court" manor home. According to a tradition currently inscribed on a bronze plaque affixed to the post, then Col. George Washington set the original post to guide travelers to Lord Fairfax's residence. Greenway Court plantation was unusual in that Lord Fairfax was titled and residing in the colony. Ethnic German and Scots-Irish subsistence farmers, many of them recent immigrants, settled in the area, as well as the Meade, Randolph and Burwell families, which were among the First Families of Virginia. Although the original Anglican church for the community was at Old Chapel several miles away, by the late 19th century, Meade Memorial Church (Episcopal), a Methodist church and Masonic Lodge were all established near the intersection that gave the community its name. In addition to Greenway Court, the Bethel Memorial Church, Farnley, Guilford, Lucky Hit, Meadea, The Tuleyries, and the White Post Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

White Post Historic District is a national historic district located at White Post, Clarke County, Virginia. It encompasses 23 contributing buildings and 1 contributing object in the crossroads village of White Post. The contributing object is the white-painted marker which Thomas, Sixth Lord Fairfax, had erected in the 1760s (supposedly erected by then-Col. George Washington) to point the way to Greenway Court, his nearby estate. The most distinguished building is the Bishop Meade Memorial Church (1875), named for White Post's Bishop William Meade, who grew up at the nearby Lucky Hit plantation. Also located in the district and separately listed is Meadea, the only remaining 18th century building. The historic district also includes 20 other residences, 3 commercial structures, as well as the Methodist church and parish hall, and an abandoned post office. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
