Sterling Township, Pennsylvania

Quicktown is a rural unincorporated community in Lackawanna County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is located approximately 17 miles (27 km) east of Scranton, more specifically in the eastern portion of Madison Township (known to the locals as Madisonville). Madison Twp (Madisonville) was formed on August 7, 1849, from parts of Covington and Jefferson townships and is named after President James Madison.

WFTE (90.3 FM) was a radio station licensed to serve Mount Cobb, Pennsylvania, and (105.7 FM) Scranton, Pennsylvania The station's licensee was Community Radio Collective, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. WFTE Community Radio aired live on the air in 2011. With translator W289AU on 105.7 FM, WFTE Community Radio broadcast to around 500,000 residents in the greater Scranton, Pennsylvania area. WFTE's license was cancelled by the Federal Communications Commission on June 27, 2018, due to the station having been silent since September 27, 2016.

The surficial geology in the area consists of Wisconsinan Till, Wisconsinan Ice-Contact Stratified Drift, alluvium, bedrock, fill, sand and gravel pits, and wetlands.

The watershed of the stream has an area of 3.44 square miles (8.9 km2). It has one named tributary, which is known as Emerson Run. Lake Run is considered to be Class A Wild Trout Waters. The surficial geology in its vicinity consists of Wisconsinan Ice-Contact Stratified Drift, Wisconsinan Till, Boulder Colluvium, alluvium, bedrock, sand and gravel pits, fill, wetlands, peat bogs, and a lake.
