Hellertown, Pennsylvania

Lost River Caverns is a natural limestone cavern located on the east side of Hellertown, Pennsylvania, United States, and consisting of five chambers. The caverns were formed by the karstification or dissolving of the limestone by water. In the past the caverns have been called Rentzheimer's Cave and Lost Cave. The "Lost River", so named because the source and mouth of the river have not yet been discovered, flows through it. The temperature in the cave is consistently in the 52 °F (11 °C) area. There is a gift shop and a museum before the entrance. It was discovered in 1883 when a limestone quarry cut into it. It is currently open to the public.

Silver Creek is a tributary of Saucon Creek in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. It is approximately 3.2 miles (5.1 km) long and flows through Lower Saucon Township and Hellertown. The watershed of the creek has an area of 2.89 square miles (7.5 km2). The creek is a very small stream that is urban in its lower reaches. However, it is not designated as an impaired waterbody and is inhabited by trout. The creek has been a major source of flooding in Hellertown.

Black River (also known as Black Creek or Black River Creek) is a tributary of Saucon Creek in Lehigh and Northampton counties in the US state of Pennsylvania. It is approximately 4.6 miles (7.4 km) long and flows through Upper Saucon and Salisbury townships in Lehigh County and Lower Saucon Township and Bethlehem in Northampton County.The watershed of the river has an area of 4.49 square miles (11.6 km2). It is designated as a Coldwater Fishery and a Migratory Fishery and contains wild trout. The river is a very small limestone stream and flows in the vicinity of Lehigh University's Saucon Fields.

The Michael and Margaret Heller House, also known as the Heller Homestead, is an historic, American home that is located in Lower Saucon Township in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. In 2010, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Saucon Valley High School is a four-year public high school in Hellertown, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. It is located at 2100 Polk Valley Road in Hellertown in Northampton County. It is the only high school in the Saucon Valley School District, which is consolidated in a single complex, the Saucon Valley School District Campus, as of September 1999. The campus, spread across 106 acres (0.43 km2), combines the high school, middle school, elementary school, and administrative offices all under one roof and also includes ball fields, playgrounds, stadiums, and track facilities. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 690 students, according to National Center for Education Statistics data. The school's colors are red and black, and its mascot is the panther.

Polk Valley Run (also known as Poke Valley Run or Snipe Valley Creek) is a tributary of Saucon Creek in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. It is approximately 1.9 miles (3.1 km) long and flows through Lower Saucon Township and Hellertown. The watershed of the stream has an area of 2.13 square miles (5.5 km2). A reach of the stream is designated as an impaired waterbody due to siltation from agriculture. However, wild trout and other wildlife are present in and around it. Most of the watershed is forested.

Goodman Stadium is Lehigh University's 16,000-seat stadium located on its Goodman Campus in Lower Saucon Township, Pennsylvania. It opened in 1988, replacing Taylor Stadium, which stood in the main academic campus from 1914 until 1987. The former Taylor Stadium site now holds the Rauch Business Center, the Zoellner Arts Center, and a parking garage. The Murray H. Goodman Stadium is named after real estate developer Murray H. Goodman, a Lehigh alumnus, who donated 550 acres in Saucon Valley in 1983 to build a sports complex.The stadium is the home of the Lehigh Mountain Hawks football team, who compete in the Patriot League at the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (or FCS) level, formerly known as I-AA. Located in a rural valley surrounded by wooded hills, its ample nearby parking makes tailgating before games very popular. Concession stands protected from the weather and large indoor restrooms are provided on both sides of the stadium. It also features a two-tiered press box/skybox overlooking the west grandstand, limited chair back seating and locker rooms for home and visiting teams. Prior to the 2019 football season, a new press box was constructed behind the east grandstand and the previous media facility was converted into additional suites.The Goodman Campus was the preseason training camp location for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles from 1996 to 2012. Eagles' training camps often draw as many as 10,000 fans, ranking at the top of NFL training camp attendance. The Eagles' twice-daily practices were held from mid-July to mid-August. Starting in 2016, Goodman Stadium hosts the home matches of Bethlehem Steel FC, the official affiliate of Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union. Lack of lights resulted in the Steel moving its home matches to Talen Energy Stadium after the 2018 season. It hosted one United States men's national soccer team match, a 0–1 loss to Ukraine on October 23, 1993. In 2021, Goodman Stadium hosted the 157th playing of the Lehigh-Lafayette rivalry. The rivalry is both college football's most-played and longest uninterrupted series. Lehigh won the game 17–10, bringing the overall record to Lafayette 80 games to Lehigh 72.

Stabler Arena is a 6,200-seat multi-purpose arena in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of the state. Owned and operated by Lehigh University, it is located on the school's Goodman Campus. Stabler Arena is named for Donald B. Stabler, a 1930 Lehigh graduate, founder of Stabler Companies Inc., and a member of the university's Board of Trustees for over 30 years. He and his wife, Dorothy, were the primary donors for the facility. The arena officially opened with Lehigh's Commencement Exercises on May 29, 1979, replacing Taylor Gymnasium, which had hosted Lehigh athletics since 1914. Its first public event was Holiday on Ice in November later that same year.

J. David Walker Field at Legacy Park is a baseball venue in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States. It is home to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks baseball team of the NCAA Division I Patriot League. It features batting cages, bullpens, a natural grass surface, and an electronic scoreboard.

The Kirchberg is a mountain in Northampton County, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. The main peak, which rises to 1,004 feet (306 m), is in Lower Saucon Township, east of Hellertown, overlooking Saucon Gap to the west. The mountain is part of the Reading Prong of the Appalachian Mountains.

Ehrhart's Mill Historic District is a national historic district located along Saucon Creek at Lower Saucon Township in Northampton County in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. The district includes nine contributing buildings, two contributing sites, and four contributing structures associated with a 19th and early 20th century grist mill.

East Branch Saucon Creek (also known as Laubachs Creek) is a tributary of Saucon Creek in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 5.9 miles (9.5 km) long and flows through Lower Saucon Township and Bethlehem.The watershed of the creek has an area of 10.3 square miles (27 km2). A reach of the creek is designated as an impaired waterbody. However, the upper reaches are relatively unimpacted by development and the wetlands at its headwaters are designated as Exceptional Value and are home to numerous amphibians. The creek is also inhabited by wild trout. Pioneers reached the area in the vicinity of East Branch Saucon Creek as early as the 1730s. More recently, Bethlehem Steel, the nation's second-largest steel manufacturer for much of the 20th century, owned a property in the watershed. Several bridges have constructed over the creek, and it once had a dam, but it was removed for safety reasons.
