Glack GAC

Newman College Ireland was a Catholic liberal arts college in Northern Ireland which was opened in 2014. Named after Cardinal John Henry Newman, the founder of the Catholic University of Ireland which became University College Dublin, the college aimed to create third level institution which embodies the Catholic ethos. The college was supported by disability rights campaigner and former MEP Kathy Sinnott. Dr. Nicholas Healy was the CEO and served as president of Newman College Ireland. He is a president emeritus of Ave Maria University and a former vice president of Franciscan University of Steubenville . Fundraisers and supporters for the establishment of the college were based in the United States. The economist and UCD Professor Ray Kinsella served as a board member for the college, as did the artist Dony MacManus.

Glack (from Irish Glaic, meaning 'hollow') is a hamlet and townland in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is 4 km south of Ballykelly, in a raised spot overlooking Lough Foyle. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 183 people. It is situated within Causeway Coast and Glens district. Glack is made up of three clusters of buildings. It has a primary school (St Finlough's, in neighbouring Sistrakeel townland) and a business called Paragon Health Ltd.It has a Gaelic club called Glack GAC, a Community Association and numerous other clubs to include camogie, bowling and knitting clubs.

Royal Air Force Ballykelly, or more simply RAF Ballykelly, is a former Royal Air Force station which opened in 1941 in Ballykelly, County Londonderry. It closed in 1971 when the site was handed over to the British Army as Shackleton Barracks. A small part of the base has been used as a refuelling point by army helicopters and small fixed-wing aircraft usually operating out of Joint Helicopter Command Flying Station Aldergrove near the town of Antrim.

Carrichue railway station served Carrichue in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. The Londonderry and Coleraine Railway opened the station on 29 December 1852. It closed on 20 September 1954.

The Broharris Canal was a canal situated in County Londonderry, Ireland, which existed briefly in the 1820s. A planned extension to Limavady was never built.

Tamlaght Finlagan Monastery was an early religious settlement in Tamlaght Finlagan, Ballykelly, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland.The monastery was founded in 585 AD. The name of the monastery means "The plague monument of St. Findluganus". Findluganus was an associate of St. Columba, who attended the Drumceatt Synod of 574 AD. The abbey became a parish church and is mentioned in some papal paperwork in 1291. However, by 1622 the church was in ruins, which can still be seen today.

The River Roe (Irish: Abhainn na Ró) is a river located in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It flows north from Glenshane in the Sperrin Mountains to Lough Foyle, via the settlements of Dungiven, Burnfoot, Limavady and Myroe. Broighter (Irish: Brú Íochtair, meaning 'lower fort') is a townland in west County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It lies 4.4 miles (7 km) northwest of Limavady and 2.5 miles (4 km) northeast of Ballykelly. Broighter is part of Causeway Coast and Glens district. The townland covers 152 acres (0.62 km2) and in the 1911 census of Ireland it had six occupied houses and 20 inhabitants (9 males and 11 females).
