Montoursville Area High School is a small suburban/rural public high school located at 100 North Arch Street, Montoursville, Pennsylvania. It is the sole high school operated by the Montoursville Area School District. The school serves the borough of Montoursville, plus the townships of Fairfield, Upper Fairfield, Eldred, Gamble, Cascade, and Plunketts Creek. In 2013, Montoursville Area School District enrollment was reported as 598 pupils in 9th through 12th grades. The school employed 44 teachers in the 2012–2013 school year.In September 2014, the Montoursville Area School Board approved a plan to spend over $35.9 million to do extensive renovations to the high school building including adding two floors. The project has since been completed in 2017. The renovated building will change the main entrance to Mulberry Street. There will also be a new auditorium to include a theater and lobby area. Sports facilities will be added. This renovation has provided a total of 36 new classrooms and labs.

The Kathryn Wentzel Lumley Aviation Center abbreviated as KWLAC and KWL Aviation Center is a branch of Pennsylvania College of Technology which focuses on aeronautical studies. It is located about 7 miles from main campus and on the grounds of Williamsport Regional Airport in Montoursville, Pennsylvania.The building was announced in 1991 and was opened in 1993 and studies began immediately.

Williamsport Regional Airport (IATA: IPT, ICAO: KIPT, FAA LID: IPT) serves Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding area with a population of roughly 200,000. The airport processes approximately 40,000 passengers annually and has served north central Pennsylvania since 1929. Located five miles east of Williamsport, in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, this airport has two runways, 9/27 and 12/30, both asphalt. One passenger airline operates Embraer 145s while FedEx Feeder flies freight out of Williamsport Regional Airport. The airport is home to Energy Aviation LLC that provides general aviation services and is the operator of its terminal, commonly known in aviation parlance as a fixed-base operator (FBO). Federal Aviation Administration reported 23,901 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 19,834 in 2009 and 22,519 in 2010. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a primary commercial service airport (more than 10,000 enplanements per year).In 2016 county, state and federal officials okayed a plan for over $75 million of improvements to the airport including airfield and building improvements. In late 2017 the airport began work on a brand new terminal building with seating for 150, limited food options, updated security features and a passenger loading bridge.

Allegheny Airlines Flight 371 was a scheduled passenger flight on December 1, 1959, between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Cleveland, Ohio with stops in Pennsylvania at Harrisburg, Williamsport, Bradford, and Erie. The Martin 2-0-2 operating the flight departed Harrisburg with 26 passengers and crew on board and crashed while maneuvering to land at Williamsport Regional Airport in poor weather. A passenger was the sole survivor. Of the 26 passengers and crew many came from Pennsylvania or other Mid-Atlantic states, however there were two foreign nationals on board: one from France and the other from Lithuania. The crash was the first fatal accident in the history of Allegheny Airlines and was the deadliest until the 1969 crash of Allegheny Airlines Flight 853. Also the crash was the largest aviation incident in county history, and was the only deadly incident involving Williamsport Regional Airport until the Merion air disaster in 1991.

Elk Creek is an 11.4-mile-long (18.3 km) tributary of Loyalsock Creek in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania in the United States.Elk Creek joins Loyalsock Creek several miles below Forksville.

The Canfield Island Site, also known as Archeological Site 36LY37, is an archaeological site in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. Located on Canfield Island in the West Branch Susquehanna River,: 7  the site lies east of the city of Williamsport in Loyalsock Township. It is believed to have been inhabited by prehistoric Native Americans for thousands of years, with the oldest discoveries dating back to more than one millennium before Christ.

Kenmar is a census-designated place (CDP) in Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 4,124. Kenmar is not a separately incorporated community, but is a part of Loyalsock Township (which is a municipality under Pennsylvania law). Kenmar is bordered by Four Mile Drive to the north, Miller Run and the CDP of Faxon to the west, Interstate 180 to the south, and Loyalsock Creek and the borough of Montoursville to the east.Kenmar is east of Faxon; there was a previous CDP named "East Faxon" in Lycoming County, but it lost its status as a CDP in the 1990 Census.

Kenneth M. Robbins Stadium (formerly Lancer Stadium) is an outdoor multi-purpose stadium in Loyalsock Township, Pennsylvania near Williamsport in North Central Pennsylvania, United States. The stadium currently is home to the Loyalsock Lancers football boys' and girls' soccer teams. It is owned and operated by the Loyalsock Township School District.
