Ein HaYam Hebrew: עין הים, lit. 'Eye of the Sea' is a small neighborhood in Haifa, Israel between Kiryat Sprinzak and Kiryat Eliezer, mostly separated from the sea by railroad tracks. The neighborhood, founded in 1937 by Arab families, was previously called Wadi al-Jimal. The neighborhood was called "Ein HaYam -- Wadi al-Jimal" until 2006, when the official name and entrance sign were changed to "Ein HaYam (Previously Wadi al-Jimal)." In August 2021, the Haifa Naming Commission recommended restoration of the old name and signage and received pushback from some officials. By 2022, the municipality of Haifa was referring to the neighborhood as "Ein HaYam - Wadi al-Jimal" in official publications and the pre-2006 entrance sign had been restored. After the 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel, local Israeli activists complained that the entrance sign had been replaced without proper authorization by the municipal authorities.2,400 Jews and Arabs live in the neighborhood, which has been cited a model of Jewish-Arab coexistence. It is home to the Oceanographic and Limnological Research Institute of Israel (IOLR), Tel Shikmona and the Ein HaYam trail tour.

Kiryat Sprinzak, sometimes spelled Shprintzak, is a neighbourhood in Haifa, to the south of Mount Carmel's headland, along the road to Tel Aviv.

The Sacred Heart Chapel (Hebrew: קפלת לב הקדושה Latin: Capella Sacratissimi Cordis) is a religious building that is affiliated with the Catholic Church and is located on Mount Carmel in Haifa, northern Israel. Is notable for its unique design and started as a windmill with a privileged location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Haifa. The church has small white dome dating back to the nineteenth century. The temple is closed to visitors and is reserved exclusively for the Catholic inhabitants of the monastery, who use it for prayer and contemplation.

Stella Maris Light (Hebrew: מגדלור סטלה מאריס), Mount Carmel Light, Har Carmel Light or Haifa Light, is a lighthouse in Haifa, Israel. It is located on the seaward face of Mount Carmel, near Stella Maris Monastery, inside an Israeli Navy base. The lighthouse is closed to the public and there is no access to the building. It can be viewed from nearby.

The Maxim restaurant bombing was a suicide bombing which occurred on October 4, 2003, in the beachfront "Maxim" restaurant in Haifa, Israel. Twenty-one civilians were killed and 60 were injured. Among the victims were two families and four children, including a two-month-old baby. The restaurant, which is located at the seafront near the southern boundary of the city of Haifa, was frequently attended by both Arab and Jewish local populations, and was widely seen as a symbol of peaceful coexistence in Haifa. The militant organization Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack. It was condemned by Palestinian President Yasser Arafat. The restaurant's interior was destroyed by the blast (it was completely rebuilt seven months after the attack).

The Stella Maris Monastery (romana) or the Monastery of Our Lady of Mount Carmel for monks is a 19th-century Discalced Carmelite monastery located on the slopes of Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel. Another Carmelite monastery of the same name (Monastère Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel in French) is reserved for nuns and is located higher up on Mount Carmel.

The Cave of Elijah is a grotto that appears in the Hebrew Bible, where the prophet Elijah took shelter during a journey into the wilderness (1 Kings 19:8).The exact location of the cave is unknown. There is a "Cave of Elijah" on Mount Carmel approximately 40 m above sea level in Haifa. For centuries it has been a pilgrimage destination for Jewish, Christian, Druze and Muslim people. Another cave associated with Elijah is located nearby, under the altar of the main church of the Stella Maris Monastery, also on Mount Carmel.The name of the cave is also known as el-Khader in Arabic The Druze regard the Cave of Elijah as holy, and the identify Elijah as "El-Khidr", the green prophet who symbolizes water and life, a miracle who cures the sick.

LCT 147 is an amphibious assault ship for landing tanks, other vehicles and troops on beachheads. Built in 1941 by Stockton Construction, Thornaby-on-Tees, the Mark 2 LCT 147 took part in the Invasion of North Africa in June 1943. The ship was converted to a Landing Craft Rocket at Portsmouth Dockyard from March through May 1943 and renamed LCT(2)(R) 147.LCT 147 was decommissioned in 1946, and transferred to the Italian Navy but was sold to commercial service later that year until being acquired by the Mossad LeAliyah Bet. The ship was absorbed into the Israeli navy and became a museum ship in Haifa.

Cable cars in Haifa refers to two cable car systems in Haifa, Israel: the tourist-oriented Bat Galim cable car system that runs up Mount Carmel from the Bat Galim promenade in the western part of the city, and the Rakavlit – a public-transportation aerial tramway in the southeastern part of the city, which ascends from the Haifa Bay public transit hub to the hilly areas housing the University of Haifa and the Technion.

The Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum (Hebrew: מוזיאון ההעפלה וחיל הים ע"ש דוד הכהן‎) is a technical history museum located in Haifa, Israel. The museum covers the maritime history of Israel – from clandestine immigration during the British Mandate for Palestine through the history of the Israeli navy since its inception. The museum is named after David HaCohen, one of the leaders of the Jewish Yishuv. It was established by Colonel Yoske Coral and opened to the public in 1969. The museum is run by the Israeli Ministry of Defense. It stands next to the Israeli National Maritime Museum, dedicated to maritime history and archaeology.

The National Maritime Museum (Hebrew: המוזיאון הימי הלאומי, HaMuze'on HaYami HaLe'umi) is a maritime and archaeological museum in Haifa, Israel. The museum was founded in 1953, based on the private collection of its founder and first director, Aryeh Ben-Eli. In 1972, the museum moved to its current premises near the northern beachhead of Mount Carmel, between Stella Maris and Bat Galim neighborhoods. Nearby are the Israeli Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum and the Cave of Elijah. The Marine Workshop of the Leon Recanati Institute for Maritime Studies, affiliated with the University of Haifa is located at the museum. The workshop provides professional diving and field surveying services for field research conducted at the institute.Archaeological finds on permanent display at the museum include the Athlit Ram, a bronze ram of a 2nd-century BC warship.
