Jackie Robinson House

Rugby was a train station along the Bay Ridge Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. The station opened in 1888 at Remsen Avenue. The station closed and was subsequently removed with the end of passenger service on May 14, 1924. As of July 2021, the tracks remain active with freight activity operated by the New York and Atlantic Railway.

Remsen Village, also formerly known as Rugby, is a neighborhood in central Brooklyn, New York City. It comprises the eastern part of the larger neighborhood of East Flatbush area, and is administered by Brooklyn Community Board 17.

The Wyckoff House, or Pieter Claesen Wyckoff House, is a historic house at 5816 Clarendon Road in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City. The house is within Milton Fidler Park. It is situated on land that Wouter van Twiller purchased from the local Lenape people in approximately 1636. (Europeans often referred to the native inhabitants simply by the Lenape language place name for the larger area: "Canarsie", in this case.: 32–33 ) The house was one of several ordered built by Wouter van Twiller before he was recalled to Holland by 1640. The house is estimated to have been built before Van Twiller returned to Holland, c. 1636–1640. The Wyckoff family moved in, ca. 1652, The house is one of the oldest surviving examples of a Dutch frame house in America, and it was one of the first structures built by Europeans on Long Island. The majority of the current structure was added in the 19th century, with the small kitchen section dating back to the 18th century. It is owned by New York City but is operated by The Wyckoff House & Association. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1967 and is a New York City designated landmark.

The Kurt Hahn Expeditionary Learning School (the Kurt Hahn School) is a New York City public school working in partnership with New York City Outward Bound and Expeditionary Learning. Recently the former principal Mr. Matthew Brown has stepped down as principal at The Kurt Hahn Expeditionary Learning School. Ms. Veronica Coleman is the principal.

Samuel J. Tilden High School is a New York City public high school in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York City. It was named for Samuel J. Tilden, the former governor of New York State and presidential candidate who, although carrying the popular vote, lost to Rutherford B. Hayes in the disputed election of 1876. In order to save the New York City government money during the Great Depression, Samuel J. Tilden High School, Bayside High School, Abraham Lincoln High School, John Adams High School, Walton High School, Andrew Jackson High School, and Grover Cleveland High School and Far Rockaway High School were all built from one set of blueprints.

The Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center (often called Brookdale Hospital, or Brookdale for short) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) medical services provider in the borough of Brooklyn, New York City. Brookdale's primary and secondary service areas together comprise 1 million residents. It serves most of Eastern Brooklyn: Brownsville, East New York, Canarsie and East Flatbush.In 2017, it was described as "struggling." In 2009 they had 'let go' 240 employees.

Nazareth Regional High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Brooklyn, New York. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn. Nazareth is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, co-educational private Catholic high school that offers a 4-year academic, college preparatory and religious education curriculum. It is governed by a policy-making lay board of trustees and is affiliated with the American Central Province of the Xaverian Brothers. The Brooklyn Democracy Academy is a transfer school for over-age/under-credited students, located in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, New York. The school is a collaboration between the New York City Department of Education and the Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA), one of the oldest social-service agencies in New York City.

The Canarsie–Rockaway Parkway station is the southern terminal station of the BMT Canarsie Line of the New York City Subway, and is one of the few grade-level stations in the system. Located at the intersection of Rockaway Parkway and Glenwood Road in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, it is served by the L train at all times.The Canarsie–Rockaway Parkway station was constructed by Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company (BRT), later Brooklyn–Manhattan Transit Corporation (BMT). It opened on July 28, 1906.

The Glenwood Houses is a 22.39-acre (9.06 ha) moderate to low income public housing development operated by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in the Flatlands section of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The development is bordered by Ralph Avenue on the east, East 56th Street on the west, Glenwood Road/Avenue H on the south, and Farragut Road on the north side.

The Saratoga Avenue station is a station on the IRT New Lots Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and Livonia Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn, it is served by the 3 train at all times except late nights, when the 4 train takes over service. During rush hours, occasional 2, 4 and 5 trains also stop here.
