The Bloomsburg Fair has been held in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, since 1855 and continues to this day.

Bloomsburg is a town and the county seat of Columbia County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania and is located 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Wilkes-Barre along the Susquehanna River. It is the only Pennsylvania municipality incorporated as a town. As of the 2010 census, Bloomsburg had a population of 14,855, with an estimated population of 13,811 in 2019.Bloomsburg is one of two principal communities of the Bloomsburg-Berwick, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area, a metropolitan area that covers Columbia and Montour counties, and had a combined population of 85,562 at the 2010 census.

Susq-Cyber Charter School was a small, public, cyber charter school whose headquarters were located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The school offered grades 9th through 12th. Students residing in any region of Pennsylvania were able to enroll in the school. The curriculum and instruction were internet based. Teachers were available to pupils, during traditional school day hours via phone and internet. Susq-Cyber Charter School was one of 14 public, cyber charter schools operating in Pennsylvania in 2014. In 2016, enrollment was reported as 103 pupils in 9th through 12th grades. All students were assigned a Distance Learning Monitor who checked their progress and remained in contact with them through emails, on-line chats through the programs or by phone. Teachers were available to tutor students, to review their problem areas, and to set up plans for achievement that the student could follow between tutoring sessions. Tutoring sessions were held on line using Elluminate or with teachers either at the testing centers or at various locations throughout the state which included libraries in the students' home area, at university library facilities, or at community centers.

Hemlock Creek is a stream in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is 7.6 miles (12.2 km) in length. The stream is a tributary of Fishing Creek. It is primarily in Madison and Hemlock Townships. Its named tributaries are West Hemlock Creek and Frozen Run. Hemlock Creek flows through Montour Ridge. Industries in the vicinity of Hemlock Creek have largely consisted of mills and iron mines. The creek's watershed is in Columbia and Montour Counties and is 16 square miles (41 km2) in area.

Bloomsburg Historic District is a national historic district located at Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, USA. The district includes 668 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 1 contributing object in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Bloomsburg. Notable non-residential buildings include the Carver Hall at the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (c. 1867), Courthouse, town hall, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Wyoming State Forest was the name of the Pennsylvania State Forest in Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry District #20. As of July 1, 2005, a reorganization of Pennsylvania State Forests in eastern Pennsylvania resulted in the elimination of the name "Wyoming State Forest". The District #20 main office was located in Bloomsburg in Columbia County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The state forest lands in Sullivan county became part of the new Loyalsock State Forest (still District #20), along with state forest lands in eastern Lycoming County (previously part of Tiadaghton State Forest) and Bradford County (previously part of Tioga State Forest). Prior to the reorganization, the Wyoming State Forest was located in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. District #20 used to include Columbia, southern Luzerne, Montour, Northumberland, and Sullivan counties. After the reorganization, southern Luzerne County became part of District #11 (now part of Pinchot State Forest) while Columbia, Montour and Northumberland Counties became part of District #18 (now part of Weiser State Forest).

WHLM (930 kHz) is an AM radio station broadcasting and licensed to Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Until 2022, the station was owned by Columbia Broadcasting Company (not affiliated with CBS Radio). The Columbia Broadcasting Company also owned WBWX (which serves as a satellite station of WHLM), and a second company called Columbia FM Inc., which formerly owned WMMZ. Until the sale, the stations studio was located on East Main Street in downtown Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Presently, WHLM's main studio is located on Route 204 in Selinsgrove.

The Children's Museum is a rural non-profit corporation and is run by staff, volunteer committees, and a board of directors. It is located in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. It opened in May, 1985.

Bloomsburg Area High School is a small, rural and suburban public high school located at 1200 Railroad Street, Bloomsburg. In 2014, Bloomsburg Area High School reported an enrollment of 422 pupils in grades 9th through 12th.It is the sole high school operated by Bloomsburg Area School District. High school aged students have the choice of attending Bloomsburg Area High School, attending a cyber charter school or transferring to the Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School which is a regional technical school for training in the trades.

Little Fishing Creek is a tributary of Fishing Creek in Sullivan County, Lycoming County, and Columbia County, in Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 23.5 miles (37.8 km) long and flows through eight townships. The watershed of the creek has an area of 68.1 square miles (176 km2). The creek has six named tributaries, of which the largest are Spruce Run and West Branch Run. There are at least two major rock formations in the watershed of Little Fishing Creek: the Chemung Formation and the Hamilton Group. The creek's watershed includes part of the Greenwood Valley. Much of the watershed is forested and major roads in it include Pennsylvania Route 42. The first European settler first arrived in the vicinity of the creek during the 1760s or 1770s, with other settlers arriving in the 1790s. A number of sawmills, woolen mills, and tanneries historically operated on the creek. A number of covered bridges have also been built over it and there were historically some railroads in the watershed. Little Fishing Creek is considered to be an Exceptional Value stream for part of its length. One of its tributaries is considered to be Class A Wild Trout Waters for part of its length, as is part of the creek itself. However, the creek is considered to be impaired by pathogens for a portion of its length. Parts of the creek are suitable for canoeing on.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania (Bloomsburg, BU or Bloom) is a campus of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania and it is located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). The campus is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education with some degree programs accredited by specialized accreditors.

Robert B. Redman Stadium is an American football stadium on the campus of Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The stadium is used by the Bloomsburg Huskies football and track and field teams. Construction on Redman Stadium began in 1972 on what is now known as the upper campus. The upper campus is home to all athletic fields and facilities for the Huskies' intercollegiate athletics teams, which compete in NCAA Division II (with the exception of wrestling, which competes in NCAA Division I). Student housing was later added to the upper campus as well. The stadium was completed in time for the 1974 football season at a cost of $725,000. It was officially opened and dedicated on September 21, 1974. The Stadium is named after former head coach Robert B. Redman, who led the team from 1947 until 1951. He compiled a record of 38 wins, 4 losses and won three PSAC championships during his time as head coach. Redman Stadium's first major renovation took place in the spring of 2008. The project included a new two level press box with elevator, new restroom facilities, new visitor seating, new parking lot, new ADA-compliant hand rails, track & field facilities, permanent lighting and a new artificial playing surface. The project was completed in time for the 2008 season at a cost of $3.45 million. Seating capacity at Redman Stadium was 5,000 when originally constructed and is now officially listed at 4,775. Over the years, many crowds have exceeded capacity. The attendance record was set in 1985 when a crowd of 7,483 turned out for the Huskies’ homecoming game against Millersville University.
