Daniel J. Gross Catholic High School is a secondary school owned by the Archdiocese of Omaha and sponsored by the Marianists. It is located in north Bellevue, Nebraska, United States, 6 blocks south of Harrison Street. The entrance to the school is at 44th and Margo Street. The school's athletic teams are the Cougars; its colors are burnt orange and royal blue.

Upland Park is a public park located at 3014 Jefferson Street in South Omaha, Nebraska. The park and surrounding neighborhood were opened in 1913. Upland Park has two tennis courts, two soccer fields, walking paths, and a small playground at the park, along with a "sprayground," which is a small water park. The sprayground replaced a swimming pool located at the park for several decades during a park-wide renovation in 1999. The spraygrounds are attributed in the 412 percent increase in park attendance in the year following its opening, drawing 7,500 additional users to the park annually. The park has been an important location for low-income and immigrant youth to play soccer, and according to the Omaha World-Herald, it was integral to the Omaha South High School's soccer team's success.Because of its proximity to the former ASARCO site in Omaha, the park has been identified as being contaminated with lead.

The Wilson Packing Plant was a division of the Wilson and Company meatpacking company located near South 27th and Y Streets in South Omaha, Nebraska. Founded in the 1890s, it closed in 1976. It occupied the area bounded by Washington Street, South 27th Street, W Street and South 30th Street. Located on the South Omaha Terminal Railway and next to the Omaha Stockyards, Wilson was regarded as one of the "Big Four" packing companies in Omaha.

KOIL's weekday schedule is mostly nationally syndicated talk shows such as Gordon Deal, Brian Kilmeade, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Jim Bohannon, Clyde Lewis and Chris Plante. It also airs games from the Omaha Lancers junior ice hockey team. KOIL's studios are located at Dodge Street and 50th Avenue in Midtown Omaha, and its transmitter site is located in Bellevue, Nebraska. KOIL operates at 5,000 watts around the clock but at night it uses a directional antenna to protect other stations on 1290 kHz. In the 1970s, KOIL had been one of Omaha's leading Top 40 stations, until September 2, 1976, when owner Don Burden had his station licenses revoked due to misconduct.The station used the callsign KKAR from August 1993 until June 2012. The station returned to the original KOIL callsign at midnight local time on Monday, June 4, 2012.

Hitchcock Park is a public park located at 4220 "Q" Street in South Omaha, Nebraska. The park is regarded as a "popular South Omaha spot," along with the Henry Doorly Zoo and Rosenblatt Stadium. Due to a settlement between the U.S. Government and the City of Omaha, the park is subject to all enforcements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The park is the location of one of three 50-meter pools in Omaha. It has also been identified as one of the many parks in Omaha poisoned with lead by the former ASARCO smelter in Downtown Omaha.

The McCarty-Lilley House is a historic two-story house in Bellevue, Nebraska. It was built as a one-story house in 1865 by Robert McCarty, a veteran of the Mexican–American War of 1846-1848 who fought in the Battle of Buena Vista and the Battle of Chapultepec. He also served as a Democratic county commissioner for Sarpy Counter in 1857 and 1860. The house was inherited by his granddaughter Susie in 1903, who lived here with her husband James Lilley and their ten children. They added a second story and an attic in 1918. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and was delisted in 2020.
