Elmira is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is located west of Eugene and north of Veneta and Oregon Route 126, near the Long Tom River and Fern Ridge Reservoir. The community was named after Elmira, California, after previously having the name "Duckworth". A local business owner persuaded postal authorities to rename the community "Elmira" in 1884.In approximately 1905, Elmira Road and the surrounding area was homesteaded by Henry and Celia Faulhaber along with their children Leon, Neil and Mildred. Sometime between 1905 and 1916 Elmira Road was donated back to the county by Henry Faulhaber and later renamed Faulhaber Road.

The Oregon Country Fair (OCF) is a nonprofit organization and an annual three-day art and music fair held outside the city limits of Veneta, Oregon, United States. Located in the Willamette Valley, the site is about 13 miles (21 km) west of Eugene along the Long Tom River near the unincorporated community of Elmira. Annual attendance is approximately 35,000, and the fair has around 960 craft and food booths each year. The event is known as an outgrowth of the counter-culture movement and for using environmentally-friendly practices during the fair.The Oregon Country Fair begins on the Friday of the second weekend in July every year (i.e. as early as July 7 and as late as July 13). The fair is a non-profit organization and as such has a board of directors. Additionally, the management structure of the Oregon Country Fair is typically composed of an Executive Director, an Operations Manager, a Site and Facilities Manager, and a team of volunteer Back Up Managers, otherwise known as BUMS, who serve as representation for the fair's paid management staff for the duration of the event.

West Lane Technology Learning Center is an online charter school in Elmira, Oregon, United States. It is located on the campus of Elmira High School.

Elmira High School (often abbreviated as EHS) is a public high school in Elmira, Oregon, United States, located approximately 15 miles from Eugene, Oregon. It is one of the four schools of the Fern Ridge School District and provides an education of grades 9-12 for the city of Veneta, as well as for the towns of Elmira, Noti and Walton. Total enrollment numbers range from 350 to 450 students with a roughly even gender ratio. They operate on a seven period schedule over the course of two semesters, beginning in early September and ending in early June. EHS has four main buildings. In the lower left corner of the school consists of the main office and entrance, the theatre, library and the main studio for the school's radio station KOCF 92.7 FM, hosted by Stuart "Stu" Burgess. This building also contains the main hallways for the sophomore, junior and senior classes, as well as the counseling and learning centers. There is also an outdoor area outside of the building for social gatherings between students during passing periods and lunch. In the lower right corner is where the main gym and auxiliary gym are situated, as well as the freshman hallway and the Home Ec classroom. The auxiliary gym used to be the school's front entrance, however due to the athletics department asking for more practicing space and extracurricular opportunities, the auxiliary gym was built to satisfy those needs, and the school went for a more interior focused entrance. In the upper left corner is the Cafeteria, and in the upper right corner is the Band/Choir room, the weight room and workshops for students interested in welding, carpentry, woodworking and more.

Crow is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. Crow post office was established in 1874 and named after community founders James Andrew Jackson Crow and Helen Frisk Crow, pioneers who came to Oregon by wagon train. The Coyote Creek Bridge, a covered bridge in Crow and the site of an Indian massacre, has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979.

The Charles C. Fitch Farmstead is a historic farm property located in Eugene, Oregon. It was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) on June 16, 1989.

The Eugene Yacht Club (EYC) is a yacht club founded in 1940.EYC is fifteen miles west from downtown Eugene, Oregon. It has a long history of supporting all aspects of sailing, maintains a Sailing School for beginners through advanced racing, and sponsors National Class racing.The excellent wind and water conditions, the lack of current and commercial boat traffic, and the size and shape of Fern Ridge Lake allow the use of the standard Olympic circle racing course. This and the availability of camping on the grounds make EYC an ideal place for regattas and other organized sailing events. EYC's Memorial Day Regatta, first held in 1945, regularly attracts competitors from clubs from all over the West Coast. In June, EYC hosts the Live on the Edge Regatta, a competition just for multi-hull sailors. The Harvest Regatta in August draws competitors from around the region each year.

Coyote Creek is a tributary of the Long Tom River via Fern Ridge Reservoir in Lane County in the U.S. state of Oregon. Beginning in hills south of Eugene, it meanders generally north through Gillespie Corners and Crow before entering the reservoir east of Veneta.Slightly upstream of Crow, the creek flows under Coyote Creek Bridge. The covered bridge, on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979, carries Battle Creek Road over the water.The creek's named tributaries from source to mouth are Rebel, Jackson, and Doak creeks followed by Fox Hollow. Then come Bear, Beaver, and Powell creeks followed by Hayes Branch. Further downstream are Jordan, Nighswander, Battle, Sturtevant, and Spencer creeks.

Hadleyville is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is located about two miles southeast of Crow along Territoral Highway, near Coyote Creek.Hadleyville was named for the Hadley family, including Oregon Trail pioneer Henry G. Hadley, who was a member of the 1853 Oregon Territorial Legislature and the first justice of the peace for Lane County. The Hadleys arrived in the Oregon Territory in 1851. Hadley had lived in the Spencer Creek area of Lane County, arriving in what came be known as Hadleyville in 1878.Hadleyville post office was established in 1890, with Henry Hadley's son Frank Hadley as the first postmaster. After three more postmasters, the office closed in 1903, when mail was handled by the Crow office. The H.G. Hadley House, which once served as the Hadleyville post office, is still standing about three miles south of the modern coordinates for the community. In 1915, the area's agriculture activities included general farming, orchards, timber, dairy cattle, and other livestock. The nearest rail line was in Veneta.At one time Hadleyville had a school located on Briggs Hill Road, and a church. The church was called the Centralview Church of Christ. The historic McCulloch Cemetery off Briggs Hill Road holds the graves of early Hadleyville residents.

The Coyote Creek Bridge near Crow, Oregon, United States, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The 60-foot (18 m) Howe truss structure, built in 1922, carries Battle Creek Road over Coyote Creek. The bridge is a site for hikes and other outdoor events during spring and summer.

The Fern Ridge Wildlife Area is a wildlife management area located west of Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. It is named for the Fern Ridge Reservoir which it partially surrounds.

Vaughn is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is located about 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Noti in the foothills of the Central Oregon Coast Range near Noti Creek. Author Ralph Friedman described Vaughn as "a mill in the meadows".
