The Museum of Neon Art (MONA) is an institution that exists to encourage learning and curiosity through the preservation, collection, and interpretation of neon art. The first museum devoted to art that incorporates neon lighting, it exclusively exhibits art in electric media, including kinetic art and outstanding examples of historic neon signs. Its location in downtown LA closed in 2011 and reopened in Glendale, California in 2016. The collection includes neon signs from the Brown Derby and Grauman's Chinese Theatre.The museum was founded in 1981 by Lili Lakich and Richard Jenkins. For over 20 years Kim Koga was executive director, overseeing crucial moves of the institution and finding it a home in Glendale. In 2020 Corrie Siegel was appointed as executive director.In addition to exhibitions and tours, the museum offers introductory classes in glass bending held in the museum's state-of-the-art studio.

Opened in 1976 with 1.6 million square feet of retail space, it is the third largest mall in Los Angeles County after Lakewood Center and Del Amo Fashion Center. The Peace Monument of Glendale is an exact replica of the original memorial dedicated to comfort women, the Statue of Peace. The statue is located in Central Park near the Glendale Public Library in Glendale, California, United States. The Glendale Peace Monument was funded and built in 2013 by the Korean American Forum of California, a non-profit human rights organization. The installation of the memorial happened shortly after Toru Hashimoto, former mayor of Osaka, Japan, expressed that comfort women were necessary to maintain discipline within the Japanese army during World War II. The unveiling of the statue was also considered a celebration due to the passing of a 2007 United States House of Representatives resolution, which urged the Japanese government to accept responsibility for their wartime crimes.

Glendale Fashion Center was a regional shopping mall in Glendale, California anchored by department stores, which today is the site of a large power center by the same name. The center opened in 1966 anchored by a J. W. Robinson's department store, as well as Joseph Magnin and Desmond's. Later, Joseph Magnin moved to the Glendale Galleria and a local retailer, Webb's, expanded the space from 30,000 to 67,500 square feet and moved into it on September 27, 1979.After damage from the 1994 Northridge earthquake, the mall was demolished and the site was turned into an open-air power center, the 264,474-square-foot center with anchors including Strouds Linens, Michaels, Ross Dress for Less, Ralphs supermarket, Longs Drugs (now CVS Pharmacy), Barnes and Noble, and Nordstrom Rack.
