The Intact Centre is an office building located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that serves as the head offices of Ontario Power Generation and Intact Financial. It was originally built in 1975 for Ontario Hydro (of which OPG is a successor company) and has been previously known as Hydro Place, Ontario Hydro Building and Ontario Power Building. It was designed by the architect Kenneth Raymond Cooper with Consulting Architect Kenneth H. Candy, Chief Architect of Ontario Hydro, and Adamson Associates. Located at 700 University Avenue at the intersection of College Street in Downtown Toronto, the International Style building stands at 80.0 m and 19 floors with 113,898 m2 (1,225,990 sq ft) of space.The building is served by Queen's Park station on the Toronto subway.

Ontario Veterans' War Memorial is a 30-metre-long (98 ft) granite wall located on the front south lawn of Queen's Park in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The wall was designed by Allan Harding MacKay and landscape architectural firm Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg. Besides images (mostly photographic) laser-etched into the granite, the wall also includes inscriptions from author Jane Urquhart and military historian Jack Granatstein on the bronze centre- and end-pieces respectively. The wall was advocated for by the Veterans’ Memorial Advisory Committee under the leadership of retired Lieutenant-general Richard Rohmer, former Minister of Government Services, Gerry Phillips and public art consultant Karen Mills of Public Art Management. The wall was completed in 2006 and was officially unveiled on September 16, 2006. It depicts scenes of the Canadian military's role in times of peace and war since 1867 starting with the Fenian raids. The most recent conflict listed is "The Campaign Against Terror".

The Frost Building is a curved 7 and 6 storey office building complex on the south east side of Queen's Park Crescent in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The building is owned by the Government of Ontario and is part of the large Queen's Park campus. The Frost Building is home to various ministries of the Ontario government, primarily the Ministries of Finance and Treasury Board Secretariat. It is divided into a north block (6 storey building was home, in 2014, to parts of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Infrastructure) and a south block (7 storey), with the north block located on 95 Grosvenor Street and the south block located on 7 Queen's Park Crescent. A five-storey glass walkway connects the two blocks from the 2nd and 6th floors. The building is named after Leslie Frost, Premier of Ontario for more than a decade starting in 1949. The Frost Building is also commonly referred to as the Ontario Treasury Building. The south block of the building has seven floors; the top floor housing the Office of the Minister of Finance and the Office of the Deputy Minister of Finance. The current Finance Minister of Ontario is Peter Bethlenfalvy and the Deputy Minister of Finance is Greg Orencsak. The building is a landmark of modern office building architecture in Canada, dating from the early 1950s. It was one of the first totally "modern look" buildings without any of the fancy curlicues of older buildings. It was also original in that it follows the curve of the street on which it resides. It is named for former Premier of Ontario Leslie Frost. The north block was built in the 1960s as an addition to the South Block. The Ontario Firefighters' Memorial is located in a small parkette to the southwest corner of the building. The Toronto Athletic Club, also known as the Stewart Building, is a historic building located at 149 College Street in Toronto, Ontario. It was designed by E. J. Lennox and built in 1894 to support the activities of the club; it included the first indoor pool in Toronto. A similarly-named but unaffiliated Toronto Athletic Club now exists in the Toronto-Dominion Centre.

The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) is a not-for-profit organization based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that focuses on the prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. OICR intends to make Ontario more effective in knowledge transfer and commercialization while maximizing the health and economic benefits of research findings for the people of Ontario. OICR was launched in 2005 by the Government of Ontario, which provides funding through the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. The Institute employs more than 300 people at its research hub at the MaRS Centre in downtown Toronto and funds more than 1,900 scientific staff at hospital-based research institutes and universities around the province. In 2018 it was the highest funder of cancer research in Canada.

The McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine was established at University Health Network in Toronto in 2003, with a donation from Rob and Cheryl McEwen, which they matched in 2006 with a second donation. The McEwen Centre's vision is to be a world-renowned centre for stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. To achieve this ambitious goal, the team of McEwen Investigators is working together to accelerate the development of more effective treatments for conditions such as heart disease, diabetes mellitus, respiratory disease and spinal cord injury. The McEwen Centre is based in the heart of Toronto's Discovery District at the MaRS Centre/Toronto Medical Discovery Tower. The current Director of the McEwen Center for Regenerative Medicine is Prof. Gordon Keller, Canada Research Chair in Embryonic Stem Cell Biology.

MaRS Discovery District is a not-for-profit corporation founded in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2000. Its stated goal is to commercialize publicly funded medical research and other technologies with the help of local private enterprises and as such is a public-private partnership. As part of its mission MaRS says, "MaRS helps create successful global businesses from Canada's science, technology and social innovation." As of 2014, startup companies emerging from MaRS had created more than 4,000 jobs, and in the period of 2011 to 2014 had raised over $750 million in capital investments.The name MaRS was originally drawn from a file name, and later attributed with the title "Medical and Related Sciences." It has since abandoned this association as it also works in other fields such as information and communications technology, engineering, and social innovation.

The Ontario Cancer Institute (OCI) is the research division of Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, affiliated to the University Health Network of the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. As Canada's first dedicated cancer hospital, it opened officially and began to receive patients in 1958, although its research divisions had begun work a year earlier. Because, at that time, a stigma was associated with the word "cancer", the hospital was soon renamed the Princess Margaret Hospital, although the whole operation was called the Ontario Cancer Institute incorporating the Princess Margaret Hospital, or OCI/PMH. Clinicians usually preferred the hospital name, while the scientists used OCI. The original location of the OCI/PMH was at 500 Sherbourne Street in Toronto. In 1995, the whole operation moved to a new building at 610 University Avenue, and the new Princess Margaret Hospital became part of the University Health Network. The OCI continued as the research arm of the PMH, that in 2012 changed its name in Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
