Garrett Park station

The Garrett Park Historic District is a national historic district located at Garrett Park, Montgomery County, Maryland. It's a 154-acre (62 ha) residential community incorporated in 1891, along the B & O Railroad. The older community includes a number of late Victorian homes. During the 1920s, the town expanded with a set of 40,640-square-foot (3,776 m2), "Chevy" houses built by Maddux, Marshall & Co. The district also includes a set of Prairie Style homes designed and built by Alexander Richter during the 1950s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Garrett Park is a town in Montgomery County, Maryland. It was named after a former president of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, Robert W. Garrett. The population was 992 at the 2010 census. Garrett Park is home to Garrett Park Elementary School, located just outside the town proper.

The Academy of the Holy Cross is a Catholic college preparatory school sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Cross and founded in 1868. The academy is located on a 28-acre (110,000 m2) campus in North Bethesda, Maryland (Kensington postal address), north of Washington, D.C.

Strathmore is a cultural and artistic venue and institution in North Bethesda, Maryland, United States. Strathmore was founded in 1981 and consists of two venues: the Mansion and the Music Center. It is the home to hundreds of performances and events per year presented by Strathmore Hall Foundation, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Levine Music, City Dance, interPLAY Orchestra, and others. The Strathmore arts complex is connected to an upper floor of the parking garage at the Grosvenor-Strathmore Washington Metro station via an elevated pedestrian walkway, the Carlton R. Sickles Memorial Sky Bridge, named after late Congressman Carlton R. Sickles. The complex is thus accessible for patrons coming from Washington, D.C., as well as the northern part of Montgomery County, Maryland via the Metro rail system.

White Flint Mall was a shopping mall, located along Rockville Pike, in Montgomery County, Maryland, that closed in early 2015 and demolished thereafter. Its former anchors were Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdale's, Dave & Buster's, H&M, Loews Theatre and Borders Books and Music, the last four of which acted as junior anchors for the mall. Lord & Taylor, the mall's final anchor, operated until 2020, five years after the mall's initial closure and demolition.

Grosvenor–Strathmore (formerly Grosvenor, pronounced ) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Washington Metro in North Bethesda, Maryland. Grosvenor–Strathmore is the last above-ground station for Glenmont-bound Red Line trains until NoMa-Gallaudet U; south of the station, trains cross over the Capital Beltway before descending underground. It is one of a number of stations on the Rockville Pike corridor in Montgomery County.

The Rock Creek Woods Historic District is a national historic district located north of Kensington, Montgomery County, Maryland (although the postal address is Silver Spring). This suburban development, consisting of 74 Contemporary houses, is nestled in a wooded valley between two creeks near Connecticut Avenue (MD 185). These houses were designed by Charles Goodman and built between 1958 and 1961 by Herschel and Marvin Blumberg, developers of New Town Center in nearby Hyattsville, Maryland. The original layout, including roads, lot configurations, and sidewalks, remains unaltered. During the 1960s, the neighborhood was home to a significant Jewish population and many people in the neighborhood were active in liberal causes, particularly the peace movement. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Montrose Christian School was a private Christian school in North Bethesda, Maryland, with a Rockville postal address. It was formerly operated by the Montrose Baptist Church, Maryland's second largest Southern Baptist church. It educated around 370 students before its closure in 2013. Its first Senior High School class graduated in 1986.

Georgetown Preparatory School (also known as Georgetown Prep) is a Jesuit college-preparatory school in North Bethesda, Maryland for boys in ninth through twelfth grade. It has a 93-acre (380,000 square meters) campus. It is the only Jesuit boarding school in the United States. It is in the district of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington.

Fitzgerald Auto Mall is a family owned and operated auto dealership that was founded in 1966, with its first location opening in Bethesda, Maryland. As of 2014, Fitzgerald Auto Mall ranked number 59 on the list of the "Top 125 Dealership Groups" in the U.S., which is published annually by Automotive News. Fitzgerald dealer locations appear five times on the 2013 WardsAuto e-Dealer 100, at No. 8, No. 25, No. 30, No. 43 and No. 98.

The Linden Oak is a large white oak tree in North Bethesda, Maryland, beside the junction of Rockville Pike and Rock Creek Park's Beach Drive. In 1976, the Linden Oak was proclaimed a Maryland Bicentennial Tree because it stood its ground, survived the American Revolution, and continues to serve an appreciative nation." In 1978, a Maryland state agency estimated that it was seeded in 1718.

North Bethesda Market is a property majority-owned by Capri Capital Partners. The JBG Companies were minority owners of the property until 2014 when Capri Capital Partners purchased the remaining 10% stake from JBG, who also managed the property. In 2014 the Bozzuto Management Company took over retail and residential management of the property, a title previously held by JBG.
