How much time to build Tai zoo waterfront parkTai Po Waterfront Park (Chinese: 大埔海濱公園) is a park in Tai Po in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It is located along the Tolo Harbour, and its western end is at the northern part of the mouth of the Lam Tsuen River. It occupies an area of 22 hectares (54 acres), and is the largest park managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. The Park opened in 1994 at a cost of $210-million, but was not completed until 1997 with the creation of the Tai Po Lookout Tower. Every year, the Tai Po Dragon Boat Race is held in the sea off the park.

Tai Po Kau (Chinese: 大埔滘車站), also signed simply as Tai Po, was a railway station on the British section of the Kowloon–Canton Railway in Tai Po Kau, New Territories, Hong Kong. Its location next to Tai Po Hoi and a pier serving the northeast New Territories made Tai Po Kau a transport hub. The station had traditional Chinese architecture.As roads and public transport were improved in the area and as the remote villages depopulated, the importance of the station and the pier declined quickly. The station was abandoned when the railway was electrified in the early 1980s. At this time, two ferry routes serving the adjacent pier (to Tap Mun and Tung Ping Chau) were moved to the Ma Liu Shui Pier near University station.In the 1990s, the station structure was removed and replaced with staff quarters of the KCR Corporation. This development is called "Trackside Villas" and is linked to Tai Po Market station by a shuttle bus.

Tai Po Lookout Tower (Chinese: 香港回歸紀念塔) is a large-scale landmark established to mark the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong to the PRC in 1997. It is located near the mouth of the Lam Tsuen River and next to the shore of Tolo Harbour, within Tai Po Waterfront Park, in Tai Po, Hong Kong. Unrelated to the similarly named Tai Po Lookout (which is now a private residence), the Tai Po Lookout Tower is a local tourist attraction. The building is 32.4 metres tall. Visitors can reach the top to enjoy a bird's eye view over Tolo Harbour, the entire Tai Po Waterfront Park and the neighbouring Tai Po Industrial Estate. An inscription on the lower part of the tower describes the rationale for the tower's construction, roughly summarised: The inhabitants of the New Territories defended and sacrificed themselves for their own home in the early period when Hong Kong was ceded to Great Britain in 1898. They devoted to the development of the territory and significantly made a great contribution into society after the war time of Hong Kong falling into Japan's hands during the period of time from December 1941 to August 1945.The inscription also points out that the location of the tower is exactly where the British government made a landing when taking over the New Territories. The tower, therefore, was built at the same place for the commemoration of the sovereignty handover.

Tai Po Kau (Chinese: 大埔滘) is an area and a village south of the town of Tai Po in Hong Kong, which was the site of the former Tai Po Kau station on the Kowloon–Canton Railway. It is located at a river estuary that empties into Tolo Harbour.

Island House is a historical building located on Island House Lane, Yuen Chau Tsai (元洲仔), Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong.

Yuen Chau Tsai was an island in Tolo Harbour, Hong Kong. It is now connected to land by a causeway after land reclamation. It is part of Tai Po New Town in the Tai Po District. The Tai Wong Yeh Temple and Island House are located in the area of the former island.

Tai Po Industrial Estate (Chinese: 大埔工業邨, branded as 大埔工業園) is an industrial estate on the reclamation in Tai Po Hoi, Tai Po District, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is administered by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.

Hong Kong Note Printing Limited is a company which prints the bank notes of all the three note-issuing banks in Hong Kong. The banknote printing plant was founded in 1984 by Thomas De La Rue in Tai Po Industrial Estate. In April 1996, the Hong Kong Government purchased the plant through the Exchange Fund, and operated it under the current name.

Tai Po Lookout is a historical residential building situated at No. 11, Lookout Link, Tai Po Kau, Tai Po District, in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Tai Po Lookout was built in the early twentieth century by Lawrence Gibbs, a British engineer, as his residence. The Lookout had many different owners throughout the years, and was circulated around very frequently. During the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, the Lookout was used as a torture chamber by the Japanese. After World War II, the land became government property. It was used by government officials such as the Tai Po District Officers and the Head of Police Secret Service as their private residences. In 1996, the government leased the Lookout to the Society for AIDS Care (SAC). The SAC launched the Lookout Project to provide hospice care for AIDS patients. The service was first operated in June 1997 and officially closed on the first of June 2000 due to drying up of funds. Since then, the Lookout has been leased by the Government Property Agency to private owners and reverted to its original residential purpose.The Lookout is a colonial-style building with a watch tower. Standing on top of a small hill, it overlooks Tai Po District and Tolo Harbour. In 1985, the building was accorded as a Grade II Historic Building by the Antiquities Advisory Board (古物諮詢委員). Recently, it is proposed that the status of the Lookout to be regarded as Grade I.

Kwong Fuk Estate (Chinese: 廣福邨) is a public housing estate in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the second public housing estate in Tai Po, built at the reclaimed land at the east of Tai Po Old Market near Yuen Chau Tsai. The estate consists of eight residential buildings completed in 1983. Wang Fuk Court (宏福苑) is a Home Ownership Scheme court in Tai Po, near Kwong Fuk Estate. It consists of eight residential buildings offering 1,987 units built in 1983.

Fu Heng Estate (Chinese: 富亨邨) is a mixed TPS and public housing estate in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong. It consists of eight residential blocks built in 1990. Some of the flats were sold to tenants through Tenants Purchase Scheme Phase 3 in 2000.Chung Nga Court (頌雅苑) is a Home Ownership Scheme court in Tai Po, near Fu Heng Estate. It consists of three residential buildings built in 1991.
