The Willets Point Farmhouse is a double farmhouse at Fort Totten within Bay Terrace in Queens, New York City. It was built in 1829 in the Greek Revival style for Charles Willets, who had recently acquired the land surrounding the house. In 1867, the Farmhouse was expanded and renovated in Gothic Revival style. It was subdivided in the 20th century by the U.S. Army in order to provide officer housing for Fort Totten, and in the subdivision process, much of the original detailing was lost.The building was abandoned by the Army in 1974 and the property was handed over to the City of New York. The farmhouse subsequently deteriorated and was vandalized despite the founding of the Fort Totten Historic District in 1999. In 2012, plans were made to renovate and stabilize the house, but as of 2018, it remains abandoned.

Ben's Kosher Deli is a New York City-based Jewish deli chain with locations in Queens, Long Island and Boca Raton, Florida. Ben's was founded in 1972. Ben's formerly operated a midtown location which had catered events such as Broadway premieres and fashion shows, such as the 2023 Batsheva Hay show. The owner of Ben's, Ronnie Dragoon, owned at one time 7 locations. He started the business when he was 24 years old. The restaurant is glatt kosher certified by mashgichim affiliated with the Rabbinical Assembly. It is open on Shabbat. The Scarsdale location was open from 2015 until 2021. The Manhattan location merged with a kosher restaurant called Mr. Broadway.

Fort Totten Officers' Club, also known as the Castle, is a historic clubhouse located at Fort Totten in Bayside, Queens, New York. The officers' club was built in the 1870s and expanded to its present size in 1887. It is a large Late Gothic Revival style building. It is a two-story, rectangular frame building with a projecting central tower pavilion and sheathed in clapboard. It features identical, polygonal, three story towers and a wood parapet surrounding the roofline.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Fort Totten is a former active United States Army installation in the New York City borough of Queens. It is located on the Willets Point peninsula on the north shore of Long Island. Fort Totten is at the head of Little Neck Bay, where the East River widens to become Long Island Sound. While the U.S. Army Reserve continues to maintain a presence at the fort, the property is now owned by the City of New York. The Beechhurst Towers hotel (now a co-op apartment building) was a favorite of actress Mary Pickford and was frequented by many Broadway and early movie stars, including the Marx Brothers and W.C. Fields. Industrialist Harvey Firestone owned an estate on the Beechhurst waterfront, visited frequently by his son’s friends Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

The Throgs Neck Bridge is a suspension bridge in New York City, carrying six lanes of Interstate 295 (I-295) over the East River where it meets the Long Island Sound. The bridge connects the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx with the Bay Terrace section of Queens. Opened on January 11, 1961, it is the newest bridge across the East River and was built to relieve traffic on the Bronx–Whitestone Bridge, 2 miles (3.2 km) to the west. The Throgs Neck Bridge is also the easternmost crossing of the East River. Due to this and its proximity to I-95, it is the closest route from Long Island to New Jersey via the George Washington Bridge, as well as points north. The Throgs Neck Bridge is owned by the government of New York City and operated by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA), an affiliate agency of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).

Throgs Neck Lighthouse in the Bronx, New York, United States was a wooden lighthouse that was replaced by an iron skeletal tower that is still there. The lighthouse protects ships in the Long Island Sound from running up against the rocks.The lighthouse is located on the northeasterly side of Fort Schuyler, southeasterly end of Throgs Neck and on the northerly side of the entrance from Long Island Sound into the East River. Holy Cross High School is a co-educational Catholic high school located in Flushing, in the New York City borough of Queens. Formerly a boys' school, the school began to admit girls from the 2018–19 academic year. Founded in 1955, Holy Cross High School was chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, the school is sponsored by the Brothers of Holy Cross. There is a 98% college placement rate. State University of New York Maritime College (SUNY Maritime College) is a public maritime college in the Bronx, New York City. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Founded in 1874, the SUNY Maritime College was the first college of its kind (federally approved, offering commercial nautical instruction) to be founded in the United States and is one of only seven degree-granting maritime academies in the United States.

MacDougall Hospital was a U.S. Army military hospital located at Fort Schuyler in New York City before and during the American Civil War. The hospital was opened in October, 1862 until being temporarily closed on February, 1864. The hospital received 4,505 patients during that time period. It was reopened in May, 1864 and permanently closed in September 1865. The hospital received 7,587 patients during that time period. It had a capacity of 2,000 beds. In October 1863, the hospital was "to be removed without delay"; it was one of the oldest of the U.S. military hospitals. During the Civil War, about 16% of its patients were lost by desertion and failure to return from furlough.In the Fall of 1864, the hospital housed 1600 patients. By the time that it was closed, in September, 1865, the hospital had received a total of 12,092 patients.
