Bayou Manchac

Galveztown (), or Villa de Gálvez (Spanish: [ˈbiʝa ðe ˈɣalβes]), is a ghost town located at the confluence of Bayou Manchac and the Amite River in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. Galveztown was established in 1778 with the settlement of Canary Islanders colonists and Anglo-Americans fleeing the American Revolutionary War. Due to deplorable conditions and disease, the settlement was eventually abandoned and many residents fled to Spanish Town in 1806. Some former residents remained in the area and established the community of Gálvez, Louisiana during the first half of the nineteenth century.

The Castleberry Boarding House, also known as the Old Livingston Parish Courthouse, is a historical house located at 18290 Cooper Street in Port Vincent, Louisiana. Originally built in c.1875, the house was expanded and widely remodeled in Eastlake in c.1900. Another major expansion to the rear, with the enclosing of the rear porch, happened in the 1940s when the building became a private property. Three outbuildings, including a carriage house, a kitchen and a privy, are present to the rear of the house and are considered contributing properties. The house had served as a store and briefly as the Livingston Parish courthouse before Andrew Collins purchased it in c.1900 as a gift for Bessie Castleberry. Mrs. Castleberry and her mother remodeled the house adding sleeping rooms for guests and created the boarding house, which operated until 1935 when the house was converted to a private property.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 12, 2001.

Lake is located between Lake Martin and Lake Villar. The name originates from when the two lakes flooded, the entire community became a lake.

The Audubon Plantation is a Southern plantation with a historic mansion located at 21371 Hoo Shoo Too Road, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The house was completed in c.1850 but origins of Audubon plantation remains quite obscure. A reference to Audubon can be found in the Statement of the Sugar Crop for 1892. At that time the plantation owner was Octavius Bullion, while the mansion was rented to Dixon family.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 14, 1987.

The Guitreau House, also known as Belle Place, is a historic house located at 16825 LA 16 in French Settlement, Louisiana. Built in c.1911 for Armond LaBougeois, the house is a one-story frame cottage in French Creole style. The building was widely renovated and expanded in after its 1914 sale to A.D. Guitreau. In the 1960s the house was purchased by Cajun chef and humorist Justin Wilson which sold it to Edward and Tana Berteau in 1979.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 14, 1992.

The Robert Penn Warren House, also known as Twin Oaks, is a historic house in Prairieville, Louisiana, U.S.. It was designed in the Colonial Revival architectural style, and it was built in c. 1905.It was the private residence of author Robert Penn Warren from 1941, when he bought the house, to 1942. During this period, the house received several alterations from its original plan.The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 7, 1993.

Prairieville is a census-designated place in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is south of Baton Rouge and north of Gonzales. Prairieville is an expanding bedroom suburb of Baton Rouge. Its name is derived from the once plentiful pastures and prairies that were visible from Highway 73 (Jefferson Hwy.) and Airline Highway, which is now covered with development. Prairieville started off as a quiet community with few people. In recent decades, Prairieville has benefited from migration out of Baton Rouge, with new residents particularly drawn to the area by its high-performing public schools and low crime rate. Prairieville had a 2020 census population of 33,197 inhabitants. If it was incorporated it would be the largest city in Ascension Parish. Prairieville is in one of the fastest-growing areas in Louisiana. Prairieville's population is bigger than the parish's two largest incorporated cities, Donaldsonville (6,695) and Gonzales (12,231) combined.
