Glens Falls, New York

The Chapman Museum presents the history of the Glens Falls – Queensbury community and its connection to the Adirondack region. By encouraging discovery, understanding, and appreciation of the region's heritage, the museum provides perspective for the present and the future. The museum is owned and operated by the Glens Falls-Queensbury Historical Association. The historic home attached to the museum was originally built by Zopher DeLong who made his living as a hardware merchant in Glens Falls.

Smith Flats is a historic apartment house located at Glens Falls, Warren County, New York. It was built about 1895 and is a square, three story, flat roofed building faced with brick veneer. It features projecting three story bay windows, bracketed three tiered porches with turned posts and balustrades, and a bracketed pressed metal cornice. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Bemis Eye Sanitarium Complex is a historic sanatorium complex located at Glens Falls, Warren County, New York. The complex was built between about 1893 and 1902 and consists of eight contributing structures. The architect was Ephraim Potter. There are five boarding houses built for the sanitarium, as well as two previously existing residences and a carriage house that were converted for sanitarium use in the 1890s. Dr. Edward Herbert Bemis built the complex for the treatment of eye diseases. The sanitarium closed after his death in 1901.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.At least two of the buildings of the complex, on Sherman Avenue, were later re-purposed as the Sherman Square Apartments. These buildings suffered a severe fire on May 8, 2014. The interior was gutted, but the exterior was salvaged, and the apartment complex was expected to be eventually re-opened.

Sherman House is a historic home located at Glens Falls, Warren County, New York. It is a large pink brick building with a profusely bracketed roof and octagonal cupola. It consists of a 2+1⁄2-story rectangular block to which has been added four porches and three wings. It is thought to date to the 1840s. The front verandah and rear wing date to about 1900 when it was occupied by the Bemis Eye Sanitarium.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Ephraim B. Potter House is a historic home located at Glens Falls, Warren County, New York, United States. It was built in about 1900 and is a square 2½-story frame residence that incorporates transitional Queen Anne- / Colonial Revival-style design elements. It is topped by a gambrel roof. It features a raised, one-story covered porch with balustrade and rounded entrance pediment. The architect was Ephraim Potter. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Queensbury Hotel, in Glens Falls, New York, is a historic hotel built in 1926.It featured Colonial Revival architecture in its exterior, mahogany in its interior styling and room doors, and had more than 200 rooms. In 2021, after renovations including in 2019, it has 125 rooms and suites as well as the Queen's Ballroom and other event spaces and amenities. It includes an "upscale" bar/restaurant, Fenimore's Pub. Along with the town of Queensbury surrounding Glens Falls, it most likely was named for Queen Charlotte. The hotel has long been part of the Glens Falls' fabric, being located in its downtown, on Ridge Street (New York State Route 9L). It faces across City Park to the historic City Hall building. The Paramount Theatre, once one of three movie theaters in Glens Falls, formerly across Ridge Street from the hotel, was open from the 1930s to the 1970s, and was ultimately demolished in 1979.

Centennial Circle is a five leg roundabout in downtown Glens Falls, a city in Warren County, New York. The circle is at the intersection of U.S. Route 9 (Glen Street), New York State Route 32 (NY 32, named Warren Street), NY 9L (Ridge Street) and Hudson Street. Centennial Circle is the site of a formerly signalized intersection, which was replaced with the current layout in 2007.

Glens Falls Hospital is a 410-bed not-for-profit community hospital located in Glens Falls, New York. It serves the communities in Warren, Washington, Hamilton, Essex and northern Saratoga and Rensselaer counties. The hospital operates 28 off-campus health care facilities throughout the region. The hospital is the largest employer in the region with over 3,000 employees.In 2010, Glens Falls Hospital received a one-time payment "nearly $2 million in extra Medicare money" as part of a $400 million nationwide adjustment for those hospitals with lower costs. In 2019 the hospital affiliated with Albany Medical Center.

The W. T. Cowles House is a historic house located at 43-47 William Street in Glens Falls, Warren County, New York.

Thomas Stilwell House is a historic home located at Glens Falls, Warren County, New York. It was built about 1875 and is a rectangular, two and one half-story, frame residence with a gable roof and sheathed in clapboards. It features a raised, bracketed one-story porch with balustrade and ornate scroll-sawed fretwork. It is representative of a modest transitional Italianate – Eastlake style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Joseph J. Fredella House and Garage is a historic home and garage located at Glens Falls, Warren County, New York. They were built in 1912 and are constructed of concrete block. The house is an American Foursquare style, two-story concrete residence covered by a hipped roof covered in slate. The garage is a two-story, rectangular flat-roofed structure.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The building was demolished and a parking lot put in its place sometime before 2016.

The station is owned by the Northern Broadcasting Company. Formerly an affiliate of Network One and America One, WNCE switched to Youtoo America after America One discontinued operations. Formerly known as TV8, now Look TV (with the "oo" as a sideways number 8), WNCE also airs locally produced programming, including a live music program called 8 Trax Live, and a nightly news program called "North News 8".
