Saw Kill is a 19.7-mile-long (31.7 km) main tributary that drains into Esopus Creek on the Hudson’s west bank.

It is the lone mall in Ulster County and is the only enclosed mall located between Poughkeepsie and Albany. Hull Property Group currently owns and operates Hudson Valley Mall. The mall opened in 1981 and has an area of 765,704 square feet (71,136 m2) on one level with 19 shops and restaurants as well as a 12-screen Neighborhood Cinema Group theater. As of 2023, the mall maintains a Dick's Sporting Goods, and Target, as well as a handful of specialty stores. Adjacent to the mall is Hudson Valley Plaza, a two-tiered complex on a west-facing hill, consisting mainly of a Walmart, PetSmart and a few other shops.

WBPM (92.9 FM) is a classic hits radio station licensed to Saugerties, New York, serving the Mid-Hudson Valley and Catskills. The station is owned by Pamal Broadcasting and broadcasts at 6,000 watts ERP from a tower in the Town of Kingston, New York, while its studios are in Beacon. The WBPM calls were previously on 94.3 MHz from 1975 to 2003, that station is today known as WKXP.

Ulster is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 12,660 at the 2020 census.The town of Ulster is in the northeastern part of the county. The town is directly north of the city of Kingston. Ulster is partially situated inside Catskill Park. The New York State Thruway (Interstate 87) and U.S. Route 9W pass through the western part of the town. U.S. Route 209 crosses the Hudson River from the eastern side of the town.

The Benjamin Ten Broeck House, also known as the Felten-Ten Broeck-Chmura House, is located on Flatbush Road (NY 32) in the Town of Ulster, north of Kingston, New York, United States. It is a stone house built in three stages in the years before the Revolution. It was built by Benjamin Ten Broeck, a wealthy landowner whose estate it was on, for his tenants. Since his house was demolished it is the only extant remnant of that estate. Its overall design is of Dutch origin, but the kitchen design indicates that it was used by Palatine German immigrants. Vandalism and theft have cost it some of its original finishings, but it has retained its integrity. In 2005 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Lincoln Park is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 2,545 at the 2020 census. Lincoln Park is in the southern part of the Town of Ulster, adjacent to the northern city boundary of the City of Kingston.

Kingston–Ulster Airport (FAA LID: 20N) is a privately owned, public use airport located four nautical miles (5 mi, 7 km) north of the central business district of Kingston, a city in Ulster County, New York, United States. The airport is situated near East Kingston, in the Town of Ulster. This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation airport.

Ruby is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The community is 6.3 miles (10.1 km) north of Kingston. Ruby has a post office with ZIP code 12475, which opened on June 2, 1896. The population was 918 at the 2020 census.One-time major league baseball player Dutch Schirick was born in Ruby on June 15, 1890. In 1921, he organized the semi-professional Kingston Colonels team. Schirick went on to become a Supreme Court judge in Kingston.The Roman Catholic Church of St. Wendelinus was founded as a mission station of St. Peter's in Rondoubt. By 1914, it had become a mission of St. Ann's in Sawkill. At that time, the congregation, of English and German descent, numbered approximately 60.

Plattekill Creek is a 16.7-mile-long (26.9 km) tributary of Esopus Creek in the Catskill Mountains in the U.S. state of New York. From its source on the southern slopes of Kaaterskill High Peak, it flows across Ulster and Greene counties to the Esopus at Mount Marion. The name is a Dutch word meaning "flat brook".Plattekill Creek passes through the Platte Clove Preserve, which is a 208-acre nature preserve, that includes Plattekill Falls along with other waterfalls and also trails. The preserve is located in Platte Clove in the town of Hunter.

Glenerie Falls is a waterfall located in the Catskill Mountains of New York. It is located between Kingston and Saugerties.
