Kerhonkson Synagogue, officially Congregation Tifereth Yehuda Veyisroel, is a post-denominational Jewish congregation and historic synagogue located at 26 Minnewaska Trail, Kerhonkson, in Ulster County, New York, in the United States. The Orthodox congregation was founded in 1922.The synagogue was built in 1924, and is a one-story, rectangular, wood-frame building with a gable roof with overhanging eaves. It sits on a concrete covered stone basement and is clad in stucco on three sides. The façade has a false front that extends above the roof with three curves surmounted by a Star of David.Also on the property is the contributing Community House (c. 1954). It was built to serve Jewish merchants and farmers in the Kerhonkson area and is one of 20 intact early 20th-century Catskill synagogues.The synagogue building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Soyuzivka Heritage Center (Ukrainian: Союзівка), also known as Soyuzivka, Suzi-Q, or the Q, is a Ukrainian cultural center located in the hamlet of Kerhonkson, New York in Ulster County, in the Shawangunk Ridge area south of the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York. Soyuzivka hosts children's heritage camps, Ukrainian dance camps, workshops, seminars, festivals, concerts, dance recitals and art exhibits for those interested in learning about Ukraine and its culture. Soyuzivka's mission is to promote, preserve and share Ukrainian culture. With its programs, Soyuzivka aims to instill pride in Ukrainian heritage among Ukrainian North American youth and to showcase Ukrainian culture to a North American audience.

The Jacob Hoornbeck Stone House is located at the junction of Boice Mill and Drum Farm roads in Kerhonkson, New York, United States, a hamlet of the Town of Rochester in Ulster County. It was erected in the early 19th century using the Georgian architectural style, incorporating an earlier house as its rear wing. It reflects a later generation of stone houses built by the descendants of Dutch settlers in the town, features like the full stone gable fields on either end. In 1999 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of a multiple property submission of stone houses in Rochester.

Schoonmaker Stone House and Farm is a historic home and farm complex located at Rochester in Ulster County, New York. The property includes the house, a small shed (ca. 1880), privy (ca. 1880), and two barns. The house is a late 18th-century or early 19th-century, two-story gable-end stone house built in a simple Adamesque style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Terwilliger–Smith Farm is located on Cherrytown Road near the hamlet of Kerhonkson in the Town of Rochester in Ulster County, New York, United States. It was established in the mid-19th century. It has remained on the same lot for its entire existence. With the newest of the farm buildings dating to the early 20th century, it is a rare example of a complete historic farmstead in the county, reflecting different eras in the evolution of local agriculture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The J. Dupuy Stone House is located on Krum Road near Kerhonkson, New York, United States, in the Ulster County town of Rochester. It was built in the mid-19th century and modified later. On the property are several other outbuildings, including a stand-alone smokehouse. They and the house were listed on National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The C. K. Schoonmaker Stone House is located on Queens Highway near the hamlet of Kerhonkson, New York, United States, in the Ulster County town of Rochester. It is a stone bank house erected in the early 19th century. It has remained mostly intact from the time of its construction. In 1997 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rochester is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 7,272 at the 2020 census. It is an interior town located near the center of Ulster County. The northwestern part of the town is in the Catskill Park. U.S. Route 209 passes across the town.

Stony Kill Falls is the site of one of many access points to the Delaware Aqueduct. It is located in the town of Wawarsing, on the northwestern edge of the Minnewaska Preserve on land acquired in 2001 by the State of New York, The Open Space Institute and the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference from Napanoch Sand and Gravel Company that once owned the land. Long a little known back entrance into the Minnewaska Preserve, utilized by curiosity seekers and more experienced mountaineers, as a more convenient access point to Stony Kill Falls. The area only provides access to Stony Kill Falls, no other trails are allowed to be accessed from this area. Parking is limited, no parking is permitted on town roads please respect the neighbors and stay off private property.

The Minnewaska State Park Preserve is a 22,275-acre (90.14 km2) preserve located on the Shawangunk Ridge in Ulster County, New York on US 44/NY 55, five miles (8.0 km) west of New York State Route 299. The park, which features scenic overlooks of the nearby Catskill Mountains, is primarily used for picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and swimming. The park is managed by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Four of the five sky lakes on the Shawangunk Ridge lie within the preserve: Lake Minnewaska, Lake Awosting, Mud Pond (also known as Lake Haseco), and Lake Maratanza; Mohonk Lake is on the property of the Mohonk Mountain House to the north of Minnewaska. Lake Minnewaska is a bit less than one-half mile (0.8 km) long by one-eighth mile (0.2 km) wide at its widest point. Lake Awosting is roughly three times as large, with a length of about one and an eighth miles (1.8 km) and a maximum width of about one-quarter mile (0.4 km) mile.

The abandoned NYO&W Port Ben station is located at 24 Towpath Road in the Town of Wawarsing, New York, United States. It is a Tudor Revival style building erected in the early 20th century by the New York, Ontario and Western Railway (O&W). The station was on the O&W's division between Summitville on the O&W main line and Kingston.Passenger service ended by 1946. Freight trains last operated in 1957 when the O&W was abandoned; the station ceased being used at that time. Despite its age and neglect, the Port Ben station remains intact and is well preserved. In 2000, the station and abandoned right-of-way were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Wawarsing is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 12,771 at the 2020 census. The name Wawarsing was once believed to mean "a place where the streams wind" in the Lenape language, referring to the geography in the hamlet of Wawarsing. Specifically, the joining of the Ver Nooy Kill and the Rondout Creek at Port Ben. The name Wawarsing was used by the Lenape to designate the current hamlet and the fields to the north and south of it for at least six miles in both directions. It is the only Lenape name known to refer to an exact location in Ulster County.The town is in the western part of the county. The southern and easternmost portions are on the Shawangunk Ridge. Most of the hilly town is in the Appalachian foothills, while the northernmost part is in the Catskills. It has three state forests (Shawangunk Ridge, VerNooykill, and Witches Hole), as well as most of Minnewaska State Park and Sam's Point Preserve, and portions of the Catskill Preserve and Sundown State Park. US 209 crosses the town, passing through many principal communities: Spring Glen, Laurenkill, Ellenville, Napanoch, the hamlet of Wawarsing, Soccanissing, and Kerhonkson. US 44 begins at a junction with 209 near the east town line. N.Y. Route 52 runs east–west near the southern border. All three roads are part of the Shawangunk Ridge National Scenic Byway.
