Rockland, New York

Rockland Mill Complex is a national historic district located at Rockland in Sullivan County, New York. The district includes four contributing buildings and three contributing structures. They include the grist mill (ca. 1850) containing much of its original machinery; remains of the original power canal, mill pond, and tailrace with stone retaining walls; tenant house (ca. 1850); proprietor's house (1867); and ice house (1867–1900).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Roscoe is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Sullivan County, New York, United States. The population was 497 at the 2020 census. Roscoe is in the southwest part of the town of Rockland, adjacent to New York State Route 17. It is named for New York Senator Roscoe Conkling.Roscoe calls itself "Trout Town, USA." The town is a destination for fly-fishing enthusiasts because of its location at the intersection of two rivers popular for trout fishing (the Beaver Kill and the Willowemoc Creek). The community is a popular stopping point for people traveling along Route 17 (between New York City and Binghamton, New York) because the facilities are right by the access road to the highway. These include gas stations and convenience stores.

Roscoe Presbyterian Church and Westfield Flats Cemetery is a historic Presbyterian church and cemetery on Old NY 17 in Roscoe, Sullivan County, New York. The church was built about 1884 and is a simple rectangular wood-frame building, three bays wide and three bays deep, with a large rear cross-gabled wing. It features a narrow, engaged, center entrance tower surmounted by a spire. The cemetery contains about 200 burials, with the earliest dating to the first decade of the 19th century. The church was spared during the 1916 downtown fire which destroyed 23 buildings. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Roscoe Diner, located in the hamlet of Roscoe in Sullivan County, New York is a frequent stopping point for those traveling Route 17 between New York City and Upstate New York. The one-story diner with flagstone exterior is just off the Roscoe/Lew Beach exit (exit 94). It is a popular spot both for students heading to and from colleges in New York State, for flyfishermen as well as locals.
