Lake Olmstead Stadium is a baseball park in Augusta, Georgia, United States. It was built between the 1994 and 1995 seasons to replace Heaton Stadium on the same site and can hold 4,822 people. The stadium also serves as an outdoor-arena style event venue. Lake Olmstead Stadium was primarily used as the home field of the Augusta GreenJackets of the Class A South Atlantic League from 1995 to 2017, after which the GreenJackets moved to the new SRP Park across the Savannah River in North Augusta, South Carolina, in 2018.Lake Olmstead Stadium was the home field of the Augusta University Jaguars baseball team for most of their games from 2009 to 2013 and all of their games from 2014 to 2018; however, the team elected to return to Jaguar Field on the Forest Hills campus full-time starting in the 2019 season.

Heaton Stadium was a baseball stadium in Augusta, Georgia, United States. It was the home field of the Augusta Pirates/Augusta GreenJackets Minor League Baseball team of the Class A South Atlantic League from 1988 to 1994. After the 1994 season the site was redeveloped as the GreenJackets' next home, Lake Olmstead Stadium.Heaton Stadium was named for Bill Heaton, a retired Army lieutenant colonel and partner in the team ownership who worked for six years to bring a minor league club to Augusta. Heaton reportedly built the stadium with his own money, assembling bleachers bought from other locations with the help of volunteers and high school workers paid minimum wage.

The 1962 Titleholders Championship was the 23rd Titleholders Championship, held April 26–30 at Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Georgia. Defending champion Mickey Wright sank a ten-foot (3 m) putt for par on the 72nd hole to tie Ruth Jessen and force the first playoff in the event's history.Wright won the 18-hole playoff by three strokes, 69 to 72, to repeat as champion.Barbara Romack held a five-shot lead after 36 holes, but finished two strokes back in solo third.

The 1964 Titleholders Championship was the 25th Titleholders Championship, held April 23–26 at Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Georgia. Reigning champion Marilynn Smith successfully defended her title, one stroke ahead of runner-up Mickey Wright. The two had met in an 18-hole playoff the previous year which was decided on the final green. Wright had won the title in 1961 and 1962. It was the second and final major title for Smith. Her second round 66 (−6) on Friday set several records for this championship, including lowest round, lowest score after 36 holes at 139 (−5), 54 holes at 216 (even), and 72 holes at 289 (+1). Her Friday inward nine score of 31 was also a record, by two strokes.In the third round on Saturday, scores soared in the rain and cold wind. Smith's 77 (+5) kept the lead at an even-par 216 for 54 holes, three shots ahead of Wright.

The 1963 Titleholders Championship was the 24th Titleholders Championship, held April 25–29 at Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Georgia. Two-time defending champion Mickey Wright came from three strokes back on Sunday to tie Marilynn Smith and force the second consecutive playoff at the event.Tied after nine holes in the 18-hole playoff on Monday, Smith fell three strokes behind, then Wright double-bogeyed the par-3 14th and Smith birdied the 16th to tie. All even on the 18th green, Wright missed a 12-foot (3.7 m) par putt while Smith sank hers from 8 feet (2.4 m) to take her first major title. It was the first of two consecutive wins in the championship for Smith, age 34, which were her only two major titles. Wright was the 36-hole leader at 146 (+2), a stroke ahead of Smith.

Fay Crocker, age 45, led all four rounds and won the second of her two major titles, seven strokes ahead of runner-up Kathy Cornelius, with Mickey Wright a stroke back in third place.It was the largest margin of victory at the Titleholders in a decade, since Babe Zaharias won by eight strokes in 1950.A snowstorm on Friday postponed the second round until Saturday, and the final two rounds were played on Sunday and Monday.

The 1966 Titleholders Championship was the 27th Titleholders Championship, held November 24–27 at Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Georgia. Reigning champion Kathy Whitworth successfully defended her title and won the second of her six major titles, two strokes ahead of runners-up Judy Kimball and Mary Mills.It was Whitworth's 28th victory on the LPGA Tour and ninth of the 1966 season. Mills was the 54-hole leader at 217 (+1), with Whitworth and Kimball a stroke back. This was the last time the championship was held in Augusta; it took a hiatus and resumed six years later for one time only in 1972 in North Carolina.

Mickey Wright won the first of two consecutive Titleholders, one stroke ahead of runners-up Patty Berg and Louise Suggs.It was the fifth of Wright's thirteen major titles and her 22nd victory on tour. Wright was tied with Kathy Cornelius for the 36-hole lead at 147 (+3).

The 1965 Titleholders Championship was the 26th Titleholders Championship, held November 25–28 at Augusta Country Club in Augusta, Georgia. Kathy Whitworth, age 26, won the first of her six major titles, ten strokes ahead of runner-up Peggy Wilson, with defending champion Marilynn Smith a stroke back in third place.With a 287 (−1), Whitworth broke the 72-hole scoring record by two strokes, set by Smith the previous year. It was her 19th victory on the LPGA Tour and eighth of the 1965 season. The previous editions had been played in late April; this year's championship was moved to late November, played over the Thanksgiving weekend and the last event of the 1965 season. Whitworth had five-stroke leads after 36 holes at 142 (−2), and after 54 holes at 216 (even).

The Augusta Country Club (ACC) is a country club and golf course in Augusta, Georgia. It is located immediately adjacent to the more famous Augusta National Golf Club (ANGC). It also borders on the Sands Hill Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic African-American community.

WYNF (1340 AM) is a radio station licensed to Augusta, Georgia, United States. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, and serves as Augusta's affiliate for the Black Information Network. Its studios are located at the Augusta Corporate Center near the I-20/I-520 interchange in Augusta, and the transmitter tower is west of Paine College in Augusta. Up until September 2010, this station, as WSGF, carried a gospel format as "Hallelujah 1340". In September 2010, WYNF and its sports format moved to 1340; the call sign and format were previously on 1380, which was sold off and later became WNRR. On June 29, 2020, fifteen iHeartMedia stations in markets with large African American populations, including WYNF, began stunting with African American speeches, interspersed with messages such as "Our Voices Will Be Heard" and "Our side of the story is about to be told," with a new format slated to launch on June 30. That day, WYNF, along with the other fourteen stations, became the launch stations for the Black Information Network, an African American-oriented all-news network. Prior to the change, WYNF was a Fox Sports Radio affiliate.

The 2025 Masters Tournament was the 89th edition of the Masters Tournament and the first of the men's four major golf championships held in 2025. The tournament was played from April 10–13 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, United States. Rory McIlroy won the tournament after the first hole of a sudden-death playoff against Justin Rose. In doing so, McIlroy became the sixth player, and the first European, to complete the modern career Grand Slam, this being his 11th attempt.
