East Atlantic Beach, New York

Long Beach is an oceanfront city in Nassau County in New York, United States. It takes up a central section of the Long Beach Barrier Island, which is the westernmost of the outer barrier islands off Long Island's South Shore. As of the 2020 Census, the city's population was 35,029, up from the 2019 estimate of 33,454. It was incorporated in 1922, and is nicknamed "The City by the Sea" (the Latin form, Civitas ad mare, is the city's motto). The Long Beach Barrier Island is surrounded by Reynolds Channel to the north, east and west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.In 2022, Long Beach was named the best East Coast beach town for a summer getaway by Time Out magazine.

Geller I was a Modernist house in Lawrence, New York. The house was one of the first American works by architect Marcel Breuer, designed in 1945. It was demolished in 2022. It was one of the first to employ Breuer's concept of the 'binuclear' house, with separate wings for the bedrooms and for the living / dining / kitchen area, separated by an entry hall, and with the distinctive 'butterfly' roof (two opposing roof surfaces sloping towards the middle, centrally drained) that became part of the popular modernist style vocabulary.The house was eligible for the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing property in the Rockaway Hunt Historic District.

Atlantic Beach is a village located off the South Shore of Long Island in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, the village population was 1,707.The Incorporated Village of Atlantic Beach is located on Long Beach Barrier Island, one of the outer barrier islands which it shares with Long Beach, East Atlantic Beach, Lido Beach and Point Lookout. To the North, Atlantic Beach is bordered by Reynolds Channel and East Rockaway Inlet. Atlantic Beach is home to the oldest beach club in the United States, the Lawrence Beach Club.During the summer months, the population swells by thousands as people flood the beaches and the summer residents move in. Atlantic Beach residents may obtain season passes and access the beaches through nine entrances. It has been described as the "Genuine 'Old New York' paradise".

The Rockaway Hunting Club is a country club and sporting venue established in 1878 in Cedarhurst, New York (now Lawrence). In 1893 the original clubhouse was lost in a fire. In 1917 the golf course was expanded from 9 holes to 18 holes.

Lawrence is a village in Nassau County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the village population was 6,483. The Village of Lawrence is in the southwestern corner of the Town of Hempstead, adjoining the border with the New York City borough of Queens to the west and near the Atlantic Ocean to the south. Lawrence is one of the "Five Towns", which consists of the villages of Lawrence and Cedarhurst, the hamlets (unincorporated areas) of Woodmere and Inwood, and "The Hewletts", which is made up of the hamlet of Hewlett together with the villages of Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett Harbor and Hewlett Neck, along with Woodsburgh.

The Atlantic Beach Bridge is a 1,173-foot (358 m) long toll drawbridge carrying NY 878, connecting Lawrence and Atlantic Beach (Park Street), New York, while passing over the west end of Reynolds Channel. The bridge also provides direct access to the Rockaway Peninsula via Seagirt Boulevard. The original bridge opened in 1927, and the current bridge opened in 1952 and was rehabilitated in 1998. Typically, the toll is $2.00 (USD) for vehicles under 5 tons (10,000 lb) in each direction as of January 1, 2007. Vehicles over 5 tons are $2 per axle. E-ZPass is not accepted. An annual decal for Nassau County residents is $130.00 USD.The bridge is managed by the Nassau County Bridge Authority. The Nassau County Bridge Authority manages only one bridge.

Samuel Vaisberg House is a historic home located at Long Beach in Nassau County, New York. It was built in 1927 in the boom years before the Great Depression. It is a rectangular, 2+1⁄2-story, Spanish Revival-style residence with a stucco exterior and a clay tile, hipped roof. It features decorative art glass windows. Also on the property is a stucco garage.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Cobble Villa, also known as Villa Clara, is a historic home located at Long Beach in Nassau County, New York. It was built about 1912, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, asymmetrical Mediterranean Revival style brick and stuccoed dwelling. It consists of an "L"-shaped core, a two-story gambrel roofed addition, and a one-story porte cochere. The building has a varied, multi-gabled roofline covered in red terra cotta tile. It was built as the nascent resort's first showpiece and a demonstration of its developer's vision.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Pauline Felix House is a historic home located at Long Beach in Nassau County, New York. It was built in 1909 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Italian Renaissance–style residence with a stucco exterior and a clay tile hipped roof. It features a portico supported by six evenly spaced square posts and running the full width of the facade.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Woodsburgh is a village in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 778 at the 2010 United States Census. Woodsburgh is included in the Five Towns (though not as one of the "five"), which is usually said to comprise the villages of Lawrence and Cedarhurst, the hamlets of Woodmere and Inwood, and the Hewletts (the villages of Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett Harbor, and Hewlett Neck, and the hamlet of Hewlett), along with Woodsburgh.

House at 226 West Penn Street, also known as Long Beach Historical Museum, is a historic home located at Long Beach in Nassau County, New York. It was built in 1909 and is a two-story, American Craftsman / bungalow style residence with a stucco exterior and a clay tile hipped roof. It features a large stucco colonnaded wraparound porch supported by eight thick columns. Also on the property is a contributing early 20th century garage. It has housed the Long Beach Historical Museum since 1997.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Rock Hall is a historic home located at Lawrence in Nassau County, New York. It was built about 1767 and stands on a manorial, park-like setting overlooking Jamaica Bay. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, Georgian-style frame dwelling, with a T-shaped frame wing. It is five bays wide, with a central portico shielding the main entry. During the early 1950s the town of Hempstead restored Rock Hall to its 18th-century appearance.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
