Hamlin is a census-designated place (CDP) in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 5,521 at the 2010 census.

Clarkson is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 6,904 at the 2020 census. The town is named after General Matthew Clarkson. The Town of Clarkson is on the western border of the county and is west of the City of Rochester.

North Star School District No. 11, also known as the North Star History Center, is a historic one-room school building located at Hamlin, Monroe County, New York. It was built in 1844, and is a one-story, Greek Revival style brick building. It rests on a Medina sandstone foundation and has a front gable roof with a prominent cornice and topped by a bell tower. It has a front porch added in 1912 and rear frame additions added about 1952. Also on the property are two contributing wooden privies and a coal house (c. 1880). The school closed in 1952, and subsequently used as a community center and local history museum since 1987.: 3, 7 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The district encompasses approximately 60 historic resources associated with the Clarkson crossroads development between about 1804 and 1910.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The district encompasses 51 contributing structures and one contributing structure, a canal lift bridge. All buildings in the district are commercial, except the U.S. Post Office and a church.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Whiteside, Barnett and Co. Agricultural Works, also known as Canal-Front Warehouse, is a historic factory and warehouse complex located at Brockport in Monroe County, New York. It is a largely intact and rare surviving example of the brownstone industrial building that once lined the banks of the Erie Canal at Brockport. It is also the only surviving building related to the local reaper manufacturing industry. The existing buildings were built between 1850 and 1852 for the Agricultural Works in Brockport, later known as Whiteside, Barnett and Co. The property was later used as a lumberyard from about 1880 to 1904 and as a cannery until 1945.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. In 2008, the property was purchased by a local development corporation called the Greater Brockport Development Corp (GBDC). Red Hook, Brooklyn developer Greg O'Connell, who had recently revitalized the business district of Mount Morris, New York, expressed an interest in the property in early 2014, feeling that it could spark a similar revitalization in Brockport. However, the Town of Sweden rejected a tax break plan and O'Connell declined to purchase the property.

The transmitter is off Clarkson Parma Townline Road in Brockport, New York.WDCX programming originates from co-owned 99.5 WDCX-FM in Buffalo, New York. It is also simulcast on 970 WDCZ in Buffalo. As a brokered time station, nationally known religious leaders pay WDCX for their half hour segments on the station, and appeal to the listeners for contributions. Hosts on WDCX include Dr. Charles Stanley, Jim Daly, Chuck Swindoll and Jay Sekulow.

First Presbyterian Church, incorporated as the Congregational Society of Brockport, is a historic Presbyterian church located at Brockport in Monroe County, New York. It is a Greek Revival–style edifice built in 1852. The main block of the building is four bays long and three bays wide (76 feet by 52 feet), constructed of red brick on a sandstone foundation. It features a three-stage tower with an octagonal drum from which the spire rises. The main worship space has a meeting house plan with a three sided upper gallery supported by fluted Doric columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. It is located in the Park Avenue and State Street Historic District.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church complex located at Brockport in Monroe County, New York. The complex consists of an 1855 Gothic Revival-style church of Medina sandstone and 1903 Romanesque style parish hall. The eastern chancel window features a tripartite composition executed in favrile glass by the Tiffany studios of New York. A second grouping of three Tiffany favrile glass windows is located on the western wall of the nave above the narthex.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Brockport is a village in the Town of Sweden, with two tiny portions in the Town of Clarkson, in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 7,104 at the 2020 U.S. Census. The name is derived from Heil Brockway, an early settler. It is also home to SUNY Brockport. The Village of Brockport is roughly 20 miles (32 km) west of the City of Rochester, in the western end of Monroe County. The village is north of the junction of New York State Route 19 (north-south) and New York State Route 31 (east-west) on the Town of Sweden's northern line. Brockport calls itself "The Victorian Village on the Erie Canal". Brockport recently remodeled the village portion of the Erie Canal, providing a bricked walkway, a brand new canal visitor's center, and several pieces of art.
