Bangall Post Office is a historic post office building located at Bangall, Dutchess County, New York. It was built in 1915, and is a small one-story, rectangular frame building sheathed in clapboard. It measures approximately 30 by 20 feet (9.1 by 6.1 m), has a front gable roof with overhanging eaves, and sits on a stone foundation. The front facade features a one-story, almost full-width porch with shed roof. The building is owned by the Stanford Historical Society and leased by the United States Postal Service. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Dr. Cornelius Nase Campbell House is a historic home located at Stanfordville in Dutchess County, New York. It was built about 1845 and is a gable-ended, 2-story timber-frame dwelling with 1+1⁄2-story kitchen wing in a vernacular Italianate style. It has a cross-gable, bay windows, and a cupola. It features a full-length verandah on the front facade and patterned slate shingles. In 1872, it became the "President's House for the Christian Bible Institute. In 1909 it again became a private residence and a boarding house until abandoned in 1979. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Bontecou Lake, also known as Tamarack Swamp, is a shallow, man-made bifurcation lake in the towns of Stanford and Washington, in Dutchess County, New York, less than 5 mi (8 km) from the Village of Millbrook. Bontecou Lake straddles the drainage divide between the Wappinger Creek watershed to the west and the Tenmile River. Published estimates of its area vary between 113 acres (46 ha) and 135 acres (55 ha), placing it among the largest lakes in Dutchess County. The lake and surrounding land were protected as a nature preserve in 2022.

It was founded to promote sustainable agriculture in the Hudson Valley through grain-based local agriculture.Wild Hive Farm was founded by Don Lewis in 1982. He was a former professional beekeeper and slowly built a modest empire of whole grains and organic flours amid the waves of grain in the rolling terrain of Dutchess County, in the mid-Hudson Valley. He started by selling honey based baked goods and other products at Union Square Greenmarket in New York.The Wild Hive Farm Bakery began in Lewis' kitchen, where he experimented with producing local and tasty baked goods. Soon after, Wild Hive Farm Store, and Café Bakery opened and began serving customers. As sales of flour and milled products increased, Lewis started the Wild Hive Farm Community Grain ProjectLewis plans to expand the offerings of the Wild Hive Community Grain project as time goes on and to use the Farm's facilities as a means of teach sustainable agriculture.

Stissing Mountain, with an elevation of 1,403 feet (428 meters), lies in northern Dutchess County, New York, where it rises about 1,000 feet (305 meters) above its local footings. The mountain is steepest on its eastern slopes, which average 40 percent (or 21.8 degrees). This eastern escarpment is about 3 miles (4.8 km) long. Around Stissing's eastern base are substantial amounts of talus blocks composed of gneiss. A restored, 1933 fire tower is near the summit and open to the public (as of 2023) via hiking trails.

It features a monumental tetrastyle portico supported by four Doric order columns. Clinton Corners Friends Church is a historic Society of Friends meeting house on Salt Point Turnpike/Main Street in Clinton Corners, Dutchess County, New York, United States. It is located directly across the street from the Creek Meeting House and Friends' Cemetery. The congregation originated during the Quaker schism of 1828 when Creek Friends Meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox meetings. The Orthodox meeting moved about a mile north of Clinton Corners to the Shingle Meeting House located on the grounds of the current Friends Upton Lake Cemetery. The Orthodox meeting grew as they welcomed Protestants from other denominations and began to refer to themselves as a "church". In 1890 they moved back into the village to the current location and built a one-story, rectangular frame building on a stone foundation right across from the still active Creek Meeting. In 1916, feeling the need for more space, this building was moved further from the road and a shingle style rectangular structure with a jerkin-head gable roof was built and attached to front of relocated 1890 structure. The former 1890 meeting room was converted into a gym and dining hall for community suppers. A small addition in the 1920s at the back included a stage. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The Orthodox Meeting followed further schisms in the 19th century towards more mainstream Protestant practices and became a Friends Church, and part of Friends United Meeting. In the mid-1970s the congregation aligned with Evangelical Friends and started a school. By the mid-1980s the congregation had aligned with the Evangelical Free Church of America and the last services in the building were held in 1986. The building soon after became a private residence.

Creek Meeting House and Friends' Cemetery is a historic Society of Friends meeting house and cemetery on Salt Point Turnpike/Main Street in Clinton Corners, Dutchess County, New York, United States. It was built between 1777 and 1782. The meeting house is a two-story, squarish building constructed of fieldstone. Land for the building was given by Able Peters, whose substantial brick house is the next building on the same side of the road north of the meeting house. In 1828 the Friends Creek Meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox meetings. The Orthodox meeting moved about a mile north of Clinton Corners to the Shingle Meeting House located on the grounds of the current Friends Upton Lake Cemetery. The Creek Meeting sold the building to the Upton Lake Grange in 1927 and joined the Bulls Head Meeting in 1936.The Grange transferred the building to the Town of Clinton Historical Society in 1995. The original slate covered, moderately pitched gable roof was replaced with metal in the early 21st century by the Historical Society.The still active surrounding cemetery contains over 100 headstones of slate in a plain Quaker style along with many marble and newer granite. The early tradition of marking graves with wood has also left nearly 100 unmarked graves which are noted on the July 1938 survey of the cemetery. The Peters family plot in the northwestern portion of the burial grounds was moved to make room for the Poughkeepsie and Eastern Railroad and is distinguished by its low enclosure.The Creek Meeting house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 and is located directly across the street from the Clinton Corners Friends Church.

Benjamin C. Tousey House, also known as "The Willows," is a historic home located at Clinton in Dutchess County, New York. The property includes six contributing buildings and one contributing structures. They are the main house, a stone cottage with garage in the basement, a stone garage, a frame lodge, two frame sheds, and a gazebo. The main house was built in 1914-1915 and is a compactly designed, two story rectangular house with arelatively low pitched roof. The ground floor is clad in wood shingles and the upper floor in stucco and half timbers. It features a complex arrangement of balconies and terraces and is representative of the American Craftsman style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Thompson Pond in Pine Plains, New York is a 75-acre (30 ha) 15,000-year-old glacial kettle pond at the foot of 1,403-foot (428 m) Stissing Mountain. It is the source of Wappinger Creek, a tributary of the Hudson River that drains much of Dutchess County. The pond and mountain are part of a 507-acre (205 ha) nature preserve managed by The Nature Conservancy. The pond was designated a National Natural Landmark in May 1973 for its calcareous bog, unlike the more common acidic bogs in the Northeast.
