Union Valley Congregational Church, also known as Union Valley Community House, is a historic Congregational church located at Taylor in Cortland County, New York. It was built about 1849 and is a modestly scaled, one story meetinghouse building with a mortise and tenon timber frame built on an above grade rubble stone foundation. It is rectangular in shape, three bays wide and three bays deep, in the Greek Revival style with an overlay of Late Victorian elements. It features a stout belfry that risesfrom the crest of the roof.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Newton Homestead is a historic octagon house located on Ridge Road in the South Otselic hamlet of the town of Otselic, Chenango County, New York. It was built about 1860 by Leroy and Courtland Newton, and is a two-story, rubble filled concrete building sheathed in stucco. It has a hipped roof topped by an octagonal wooden cupola.: 2  Today it is a private residence but was for years the Gladding International Sport Fishing Museum. On June 3, 1982, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

South Otselic Historic District is a national historic district located at South Otselic in Chenango County, New York. The district includes 60 contributing buildings. It encompasses the hamlet's historic core and includes commercial, residential, ecclesiastical, and industrial buildings. Among the notable buildings are the Methodist Church (ca. 1867), Gladding Corporation factory and office (1895), J. Brown Grist Mill (ca. 1810), Noonan's Blacksmith Shop (1870), Cox Block (1890, destroyed by fire on December 14, 2014), and Dew Drop Building (now post office, 1896). Notable residences include the Octagon House (ca. 1860) and the Queen Anne style Former Gladding Mansion (ca. 1880).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The Cox Block built in 1890 burnt to the ground on December 14, 2014. After a grease fire started in one of the first floor apartments.

Spirit House, also known as Timothy Brown House or Brown's Hall, is a historic home located at Georgetown in Madison County, New York. It was built about 1865 and is essentially a square, wood-frame structure. The exterior features two-by-fours arranged vertically and scalloped at regular intervals. The use of the scallop pattern gives the Spirit House a highly textured surface and it is almost impossible to discern how it is constructed without close inspection. It also features a three tiered cornice with downward pointing keys. It was constructed as a residence and for meetings of Spiritualists in a large hall on the second floor.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

DeRuyter Reservoir (also known as Tioughnioga Lake) is a man-made lake located north of Puckerville, New York. Fish species present in the lake include smallmouth bass, pickerel, yellow perch, rock bass, black bullhead, common sunfish, and walleye. There is access by fee on the south shore at the general store. The reservoir was constructed from 1861 to 1863 to supply water for the Erie Canal but by the following year had proved to hold insufficient water. The dam has been worked on at least twice, draining the lake by several inches each time.

Pharsalia is an interior town of Chenango County, located in the western half of the county, northwest of the city of Norwich. Pharsalia has a population of about 570 people as of 2017.

Balsam Lake is a man-made lake located by Pharsalia, New York. Fish species present in the lake include tiger muskellunge, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, pickerel, and yellow perch. There is access via state owned carry down off County Route 7, 4 miles north of McDonough.
