Chemung, New York

The Chemung Speedrome is a 3/8 mile asphalt race track in Chemung, New York, USA. Built in 1951 by the Bodine family (becoming the home track of Geoff Bodine, Brett Bodine and Todd Bodine), the track was first dirt-surfaced, then paved. It was closed in 1978. After buying the track in 1985, one of the current owners, Bob Stapleton, started to rebuild the track in 1997, and, in 2000, the track held its inaugural event.

Athens Township is a township in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The population was 5,198 at the 2020 census.

Riverside Cemetery is a historic cemetery located near Lowman, Chemung, Chemung County, New York. It was established in the 1790s, and contains graves dating from then to the present. It has a cast iron gate archway inscribed "Riverside Cemetery" and dated to about 1900. The cemetery includes the graves of many early settlers and Revolutionary War soldiers. Notable burials include Lieutenant Governor Seymour Lowman (1868–1940).: 3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Spanish Hill is a hill located in the borough of South Waverly, Pennsylvania. Opinions regarding the origin of structures found on the site vary from embankments created by early farmers, to the remnants of a Native American village and battlements, due to the site's similarity to the description found in the account of Étienne Brûlé of a settlement called Carantouan. The area in the hill's vicinity was previously occupied by Susquehannock Native Americans. It was a common site for both amateur and professional archaeology, as well as relic hunting. The source of the name remains unknown, but various theories have been proposed as to its origin.

US Post Office-Waverly is a historic post office building located at Waverly in Tioga County, New York. It was designed and built in 1936–1937 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Louis A. Simon. It is a one-story, five-bay, steel-frame building clad in yellow/buff-colored brick on a raised foundation executed in the Colonial Revival style. The interior features a 1939 mural by artist Musa McKim titled "Spanish Hill and the Early Inhabitants of the Vicinity."It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Grace Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Waverly in Tioga County, New York. It is a Gothic Revival style wood-frame structure, three bays wide and six bays deep, and resting on a brick foundation with cement veneer. The building was built in 1854 and features a steeply pitched gable roof, an arched double door entry, and lancet windows. A wooden belfry is perched on the peak of the gable.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Waverly Village Hall is a historic village hall located at Waverly in Tioga County, New York, United States. It is a 3+1⁄2-story brick and masonry building built in 1892. The architect was J. H. Pierce and the builder Sherman A. Genung. The most dominant feature of the building is the Queen Anne style bell tower.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

South Waverly is a borough in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The population was 1,070 at the 2020 census. Waverly Junior and Senior High School, also known as Mary W. Muldoon High School, is a historic school located at Waverly in Tioga County, New York. It is a three-story brick building with an attached two story wing on a solid concrete foundation built in 1913. The most dominant feature of the building is the entryway. It features a round headed archway flanked by cast stone Roman Doric columns and surmounted by a wide entablature with balustrade. It ceased being used as a school in 1967 and, for a period, was used for administrative offices for the system. It is now a 55+ apartment building called Muldoon Garden Apartments.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Waverly is the largest village in Tioga County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 U.S. census, Waverly had a population of 4,177. It is located southeast of Elmira in the Southern Tier region. This village was incorporated as the southwest part of the town of Barton in 1854. The village name was conceived by Joseph "Uncle Joe" Hallett, founder of its first Fire Department and pillar of the community, dropping the second "e" from the name of his favorite author's novel, Waverley by Sir Walter Scott. The former village hall is listed on the National Historic Places list. Waverly is part of the Binghamton metropolitan area. The village was previously a regular stop on the Black Diamond Express passenger service. It is located in the Penn-York Valley, a once thriving Rust Belt railroad region that spans Northeastern Pennsylvania and New York and includes Waverly in New York state and South Waverly, Sayre, and Athens in Pennsylvania. The region's combined population is nearly 30,000 and the village's population was 4,444 as of the 2010 census.

The Chemung District School No. 10 is a one-room schoolhouse located in Lowman, New York. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 21, 2008.
