Waterville (Waterbury)

The Sheffield Street Bridge is a historic lenticular truss bridge spanning Hancock Brook in Waterbury, Connecticut. Built in 1884, it is a rare example of a wrought iron bridge built by the Berlin Iron Bridge Co., and one of the few surviving lenticular truss bridges left in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

WQQW was a radio station on 1590 AM in Waterbury, Connecticut, operating between 1934 and 1992. During this time it changed hands several times. In 1996 it was acquired by the Unity Broadcasting Corporation, owner of WWRL, which surrendered the license.

The Overlook Historic District encompasses a historic residential area north of downtown Waterbury, Connecticut. Roughly bounded by Calumet Street to the north, Columbia Avenue to the east, Cables Avenue and Tower Road to the south, and Willow an Fisk Streets to the west, it includes the city's finest concentration of turn-of-the century residential architecture, which was developed as its first major planned residential subdivision. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

W. F. Kaynor Technical High School, or Kaynor Tech, is a technical high school located in Waterbury, Connecticut. Students from Waterbury and the surrounding towns can attend Kaynor. Kaynor Tech is part of the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System.

Bunker Hill is a neighborhood of the city of Waterbury, Connecticut. Though part of the city of Waterbury, it has its own identity with its own commercial center, schools, parks and gatherings. It can be self-sustaining, containing many attributes of municipalities throughout the state. Like the other sections/neighborhoods of Waterbury, its distinctive character, shaped by the history and geography of the city, has led residents to form an unusual loyalty to their neighborhood.

Municipal Stadium is a stadium in Waterbury, Connecticut, United States. The stadium was built in 1930 originally as a dog track which attributes to its unique, if not odd, layout. It holds 6,000 people.

Lewis Fulton Memorial Park is a public park in the city of Waterbury, Connecticut. Located north of the city center, it was developed in the 1920s through the philanthropy of William Fulton, a brass company owner, as a memorial to his son Lewis. Its grounds were designed by the Olmsted Brothers landscape architects, and were largely completed by 1925. The park includes facilities for both active and passive recreation, and retains many Olmsted-designed features. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

WWCO (1240 kHz; "Viva Radio") is a commercial radio station licensed to Waterbury, Connecticut, and owned by Trignition Media LLC. WWCO simulcasts sister station WRYM 840 AM in New Britain and WCUM 1450 AM in Bridgeport.. WWCO , WCUM and WRYM both air a Spanish contemporary hit radio format, including tropical music and reggaeton. WWCO transmits with 1,000 watts non-directional. The transmitter is on Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury, near the Naugatuck River. Programming is also heard on 200-watt FM translator W292FI at 106.3 MHz in Waterbury.

Beth El Synagogue is a historic synagogue at 359–375 Cooke Street in Waterbury, Connecticut. Built in 1929, it is the first synagogue in the state to be built in the Byzantine Revival style, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 for its architecture. Originally built for a Conservative congregation, it is now home to Yeshiva Ateres Shmuel.

The Benedict-Miller House is a historic house at 32 Hillside Avenue in Waterbury, Connecticut. Built in 1879, it is one of the city's finest surviving examples of Queen Anne architecture, designed by Palliser, Palliser & Co. for one of the city's leading industrialists. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. The house is now part of the campus of the Yeshiva K'tana.

The Wilby High School is a historic school building at 260 Grove Street in Waterbury, Connecticut. Built in 1917-20, it is one of the oldest surviving secondary school buildings in the city, and a distinctive example of Tudor Gothic architecture. The building served as a school until 1978; the current Wilby High School is located on Bucks Hill Road. This building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Webster School is a historic former school buildings at Easton Avenue and Aetna Street in Waterbury, Connecticut. Built in 1898 to a design by the noted local architect Wilfred E. Griggs, it is a good example of Classical Revival architecture, and an emblem of the city's rapid growth at the turn of the 20th century. It was closed in 1977, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The building has been converted into housing.
