The Angostura Diversion Dam is a diversion dam on the Rio Grande in Sandoval County. New Mexico, near to Algodones and to the north of Bernalillo. The dam diverts water into the main irrigation canal serving the Albuquerque Division.The Angostura Diversion Dam consists of a concrete weir section 17 feet (5.2 m) high and 800 feet (240 m) long. The dam was built in 1934 by the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD), and in 1958 was rehabilitated by the United States Bureau of Reclamation and the Corps of Engineers as part of the Middle Rio Grande Project. It has a diversion capacity of 650 cubic feet (18 m3) per second. Four 20 by 4 feet (6.1 by 1.2 m) top-seal radial gates supply water to the Albuquerque Main Canal. The MRGCD is responsible for operations and maintenance.

Santa Ana Pueblo (Eastern Keres: Tamaya [tʰɑmɑjːɑ]) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sandoval County, New Mexico, United States. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 479. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Pueblo, named Tamaya in Keres, administers a total reservation land of 73,000 acres (295 km2) in the Rio Grande valley and is composed of Native Americans who speak an eastern dialect of the Keresan languages. The pueblo celebrates an annual feast day for its patron saint, St. Anne, on July 26.

San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School (SFPES), also known as San Felipe Pueblo Day School, is a Bureau of Indian Education-operated school in San Felipe Pueblo, New Mexico. It is a K-7 school, and was previously a K-8 school.It has a laboratory for education in aeronautics fields that was established by NASA; as of 2003 it is the only such laboratory in any American elementary school.

San Felipe Pueblo (Eastern Keres: Katishtya, Navajo Tsédááʼkin) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sandoval County, New Mexico, United States, and is located 10 miles (16 km) north of Bernalillo. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 2,080. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Jemez Canyon Dam (National ID # NM00003) is a dam in Sandoval County, New Mexico, a few miles north of Albuquerque. The earthen dam was constructed in 1953 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, with a height of 150 feet and a length at its crest of 870 feet. It impounds the Jemez River for flood control and storm water management in the spring and early summer seasons. The dam is owned by the Corps of Engineers, and operated by the Corps and the Cochiti Lake Project Office. The reservoir it creates, Jemez Canyon Reservoir, has a normal water surface of 2.2 square miles and a maximum capacity of 264,700 acre-feet. Normal storage is about one tenth that volume. Recreation is limited. There is no access to the water. All land surrounding the reservoir, except a small day-use area with picnic facilities and a scenic overlook, is the property of Santa Ana Pueblo, with restricted access.

Placitas is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sandoval County, New Mexico, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 4,977. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Bernalillo High School is a public high school in Bernalillo, New Mexico, United States. The school is a part of the Bernalillo Public Schools district and is the only high school in the district. The mascot is the Spartan.

Sandoval County/US 550 is a station on the New Mexico Rail Runner Express commuter rail line, located in Bernalillo, New Mexico, United States. It is located on the south side of U.S. Route 550 just west of the I-25 interchange, at the north end of Bernalillo. It serves residents of southeastern Sandoval County, including Bernalillo and Rio Rancho. The station opened on July 14, 2006 as one of the three original stations on the line along with Los Ranchos/Journal Center and Downtown Albuquerque. There is a park and ride lot located on the hill above the station, which is connected to the platform by a pedestrian bridge. The station has free parking, with 191 spaces. The Sandoval Easy Express shuttle service serves the station, as well as a shuttle to the nearby Santa Ana Star Casino. Each of the Rail Runner stations contains an icon to express each community's identity. The icon representing this station is the wine grape, representing the numerous vineyards and wine makers in the area.

Coronado Historic Site is the Tiwa pueblo of Kuaua and a historic site that is part of the State-governed Museum of New Mexico system. It is located along U.S. Federal Route 550, 1 mile west of Bernalillo and 16 miles north of Albuquerque.

The Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, New Mexico is a historic church on U.S. Route 85/I-25. It was built in 1857 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.It is a cruciform-shaped 120 by 65 feet (37 m × 20 m) stuccoed adobe brick building which served as a church for over 100 years. An adjacent modern brick church replaced it in 1971.

The Abenicio Salazar Historic District, on Camino del Pueblo (former routing of U.S. Route 85) in Bernalillo, New Mexico, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The listing included 13 contributing buildings on 9 acres (3.6 ha).It includes the Our Lady of Sorrows High School, a two-story building built in 1922 by local builder Abenicio Salazar (1857-1941). Abenicio Salazar "built the larqest adobe buildings in the Bernalillo area including this building. He built the flour mill, a fire wall for the lumber mill, the coal mining town of Hagan, and a number of houses", but the school is the only large one surviving in good condition.It is across the street from NRHP-listed Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
