The Stanhope Public Schools is a community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade from Stanhope, in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 292 students and 30.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.7:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. Students from the borough had attended Sparta High School until 1974, when the Lenape Valley district was created.

Lenape Valley Regional High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school and school district in serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from two municipalities in Sussex County and one in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The communities served by the high school are Byram Township and Stanhope Borough in Sussex County and Netcong Borough in Morris County. The school is located in Stanhope.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 657 students and 54.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.1:1. There were 45 students (6.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 13 (2.0% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Lenape Valley had been the only high school in Sussex County with a planetarium. In February 2016, the board of education voted to eliminate the planetarium and use the space for science labs.

Lake Musconetcong is a reservoir located on the border of Morris County and Sussex County, New Jersey, and is part of Hopatcong State Park, which is administered by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The Musconetcong River flows through the lake. Lake Musconetcong was created by the building of the Lake Musconetcong Dam in the mid-19th century to provide an additional water source, then known as the Stanhope Reservoir, for the Morris Canal. The lake was deeded over to the State of New Jersey with the other parts of the Morris Canal System in 1924. Boating, fishing, and ice fishing are popular recreational activities on this lake. The lake covers 329 acres (1.33 km2), with a mean depth of approximately 5 feet (1.5 m) and a maximum depth of 10 feet (3.0 m). The lake's watershed covers 14,000 acres (57 km2). Lake Musconetcong is downstream of Lake Hopatcong, the largest lake in New Jersey and is part of its watershed. The Lake Musconetcong Regional Planning Board has five representatives from each of the five local municipalities, Morris and Sussex counties, and from the State of New Jersey.

The Plaster Mill is located near the intersection of Main Street and Kelly Place in the borough of Stanhope in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. The mill was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 3, 1977 as part of an effort to restore the building by the Musconetcong Foundrymen Historical Society and note its significance in industry.

Netcong is a borough in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 3,375, an increase of 143 (+4.4%) from the 2010 census count of 3,232, which in turn reflected an increase of 652 (+25.3%) from the 2,580 counted in the 2000 census. Netcong lies on the shores of Lake Musconetcong. Established as South Stanhope by workers employed as miners in Stanhope, the name "Netcong" was adopted for the community in 1889 when a post office used the name. Netcong was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on October 23, 1894, from portions of both Mount Olive Township and Roxbury Township, based on the results of a referendum held the previous day.

Netcong High School was a high school in Netcong in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. In 1969 the school had 390 students. It was a part of the Netcong School District.

Netcong is an NJ Transit station in Netcong, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. Located on Route 46 at Main Street in downtown Netcong, the small, 1-low level side platform station service passengers for the Morristown Line and the Montclair-Boonton Line. These lines provide service to Hoboken or to New York City via Midtown Direct on the Morristown Line at Dover station and Montclair-Boonton at Montclair State University station. Midtown Direct service can also be transferred at Newark Broad Street station in Newark. There is one track and one platform on the north side, adjacent to the station. NJ Transit maintains a substantial train servicing yard east of the Netcong station at Port Morris in Roxbury Township. Port Morris Yard is proposed to return as the junction of the Montclair-Boonton and Morristown lines for the Lackawanna Cut-Off line to Scranton. Transfers would be provided at Lake Hopatcong station in Landing.

Port Morris is a historic unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Roxbury Township, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Despite its name, Port Morris is in the hills of the Skylands Region, on the shores of Lake Musconetcong. In the 1820s, George P. Macculloch envisioned a canal that would transport Pennsylvania coal to New York City. The plan was to construct a canal from Phillipsburg, New Jersey at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh rivers, near the coal fields, to Newark, Jersey City or New York City. The section of the Morris Canal was completed to Newark in 1831, and Port Morris become one of the major stops established along the route of the Canal. With the rise of the railroad came the demise of canals. Despite the changeover in transportation methods, Port Morris found a new role. With the construction of the Lackawanna Cutoff, constructed by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad between 1908 and 1911, Port Morris became a major railroad junction and the starting point of the Cutoff.

As of the 2017–18 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 706 students and 60.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1. Students from Byram Township had attended Sparta High School until 1974, when the Lenape Valley district was created.

The International Trade Center is a multi-acre office park located in Mount Olive, New Jersey. Formerly the site of BASF until 2004, it is currently home to facilities of L3 Technologies, Bosal USA, Coherent Advanced Crystal Group, Vistar, and Robertet, among others. A Residence Inn by Marriott and Mount Olive station are on the grounds. The Center is designated as a foreign trade zone by the State of New Jersey. The International Trade Center was developed by New Jersey Foreign Trade Zone Venture, a joint venture between Rockefeller Group Real Estate & CJ Follini on behalf Edenwald FTZ Development, one of the companies of the Follini family office. The development has recently been valued at over $975 million dollars.
