The Jacob Wise Neighbor House is a historic house built c. 1830 and located at 143 West Mill Road near Long Valley in Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey. The J. W. Neighbor House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 22, 1991, for its significance in architecture. The 3.5-acre (1.4 ha) property overlooks the valley formed by the South Branch Raritan River. It is now the Neighbour House Bed & Breakfast.

The Leonard Neighbor Farmstead is a historic house located at 177 West Mill Road near Long Valley in Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 1, 1992, for its significance in architecture. The farm overlooks the valley formed by the South Branch Raritan River. The house is part of the Stone Houses and Outbuildings in Washington Township Multiple Property Submission (MPS).

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 1, 1992, for its significance in architecture. The 11.5-acre (4.7 ha) farm overlooks the valley formed by the South Branch Raritan River. The farmhouse is part of the Stone Houses and Outbuildings in Washington Township Multiple Property Submission (MPS).

The German Valley Historic District is a 69-acre (28 ha) historic district located in the Long Valley section of Washington Township in Morris County, New Jersey. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 14, 1983, for its significance in agriculture, education, transportation, industry, and religion.

Long Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Washington Township, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Once known as German Valley from its foundation during the colonial era, the community was renamed in response to anti-German sentiment during World War I. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 1,879.

Schooley's Mountain is an unincorporated community located within Washington Township in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Named for the Schooley family who owned a considerable amount of land there in the 1790s, the community is on Schooley's Mountain, a mountain with an elevation of about 1,000 feet (300 m) directly north of Long Valley. Located about 45 miles (72 km) from New York City, the community is situated 600 feet (180 m) above the surrounding valley. It contains many housing developments and Schooley's Mountain Park, a recreational area with an overlook, a waterfall, and numerous hiking paths, as well as Lake George. In its past, Schooley's Mountain was a resort and an estate. The earliest residents were the Lenape Native Americans, who called it home. The Vanderbilts were among the numerous New York City socialites who trekked to the mountain for its restorative waters. The rich chalybeate-infused waters were thought to improve health, and detoxify the system.Schooley's Mountain County Park offers active and passive recreation on 797 acres (3.23 km2). The park was acquired by the Morris County Parks Commission in 1969 and opened to the public in 1974.Schooley's Mountain General Store opened in 1803 and is the oldest continuously operating general store in the state as of 2023. Notable visitors include Ulysses S. Grant, William Henry Harrison, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Robert De Niro.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 14, 1991 for its significance in architecture, entertainment/recreation, and health/medicine. The district includes 71 contributing buildings, such as the Oak Cottage, site of schoolhouse No. 5, Schooley's Mountain Store, the William W. Marsh House, Christadelphian Bible Camp, the former Heath House Hotel, former Forest Grove Hydropathic Institute, Mine Hill Farm, the Marsh Mine and several private residences and commercial buildings.

Oak Cottage is a historic home built around 1820 and located in the Schooley's Mountain section of Washington Township in Morris County, New Jersey. The property includes a mill and carriage house built in 1828 and is a contributing property to Schooley's Mountain Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Flocktown Schoolhouse is located near the intersection of Flocktown and Naughright Roads in Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey. The schoolhouse was built c. 1869 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 30, 1982 for its significance in architecture and education.

Middle Valley is an unincorporated community located along Middle Valley Road and County Route 513 (West Mill Road) in Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey. It is located near Long Valley within the valley of the South Branch Raritan River. The Middle Valley Historic District was listed on the state and national registers of historic places in 1989 and 1990.
