Al Shindagha Tunnel

The Infinity Bridge is a road and pedestrian crossing of Dubai creek in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from Al Shindagha on the Bur Dubai side to Al Ras on the Deira side. It formed part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement project, aiming to replace the Al Shindagha Tunnel, originally opened in 1975, as the main crossing at the mouth of Dubai creek between Bur Dubai and Deira. The 300 metre long and 55m-wide bridge connects a 12 lane, 13km expressway and is shaped in the symbol for infinity. The structure was proposed and defined by consultants Parsons. Opened in March 2025, the bridge connects the areas of Al Hudaiba, Al Raffa, Al Jafiliya, Al Mankhool, Al Kifaf, and Al Karama. The13km expressway forms a corridor connecting a million residents and major developments, including Dubai Islands, Dubai Waterfront, and Port Rashid. The bridge rises 15.5 metres above the Dubai Creek. With six lanes of traffic in each direction and pedestrian crossings, it is crowned by a 42-metre high steel arch representing the mathematical symbol of infinity. Constructed by Belgian contractor Besix, the bridge project cost $102,000,000.

Dubai Gold Souk or Gold Souk (Arabic: سوق الذهب), is a traditional market (or souk) in Dubai, UAE. The souk is located in Dubai's commercial business district in Deira, in the locality of Al Dhagaya. The souk consists of over 380 retailers, most of whom are jewelry traders. Some of the shops are as old as four decades, while some are as new as a year. The major items of mall includes Gold, Platinum, Diamonds and sometimes also deals in silver.Dubai Gold Souk is bordered to the north by the Dubai Fish and Vegetable Market and the Deira Corniche near Baniyas Square at Sikkat al-Khali Street which is in close proximity to the Deira Bus Stand. On the other side of the Dubai Creek lies Dubai Textile Souk.Dubai Gold Souk will be soon renovated. The Dubai Municipality plans to make Dubai Gold Souk an upbeat tourist destination.

Al Dhagaya (Arabic: الضغاية) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located in eastern Dubai in Deira, Al Dhagaya forms part of Dubai's northeastern coast along the Persian Gulf. Al Dhagaya is located near the Deira Corniche and is bounded by Al Baraha, Al Ras, Al Sabkha and Ayil Nasir. One of the more populous residential areas of west Deira, Al Dhagaya also has a prominent economic district with souks and traditional markets. The Dubai Gold Souk and Dubai Spice Souk are located at the heart of Al Dhagaya. Additionally, several other traditional shops stores such as ARY Jewellery, Joy Alukkas Jewellery and the Dubai Fish and Vegetable Market are located in Al Dhagaya. Al Dhagaya's northern periphery lies along the Dubai Corniche; the Al Shindagha Tunnel, which connects Deira to Bur Dubai, runs through the northern coast of Al Dhagaya.

The Museum of the Poet Al Oqaili is a museum located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates dedicated to the Saudi-born poet Mubarak bin Hamad bin Mubarak Al Manea Al Oqaili. The museum is the former residence of Al Oqaili and was built in 1923 on the edge of the Spice Souq, and he lived in it after he moved from Saudi Arabia to the UAE. The museum displays the poet's original manuscripts, personal belongings (such as his desk, gun, and pen), documents, and his original wills.

Al Buteen (Arabic: البطين) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Al Buteen is located in eastern Dubai, in Deira and is bounded to its west by Al Ras, its east by Al Sabkha and its north by Al Dhagaya. Dubai Creek forms the southern periphery of the locality. Al Buteen is located between Old Baladiya Street (110th Road) and 21st Street. Due to its location in the central business district area of Deira, retail space in Al Buteen is expensive.

Dubai Municipality Museum is a valuable heritage site located in the Emirate of Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Established in 1957, it housed the headquarters of Dubai Municipality until 1964, when the municipality moved to a new building on Al Maktoum Street. This building is a landmark of great historical value and is located in the heart of the old Deira souk next to the creek. It documents Dubai Municipality's areas of expertise and the state of its administrative development, narrating the history of Dubai Municipality's paintings and summarizing the municipality's public projects, services and achievements. It also documents local requests and administrative decisions. No fees are charged for visiting the museum; entry is completely free.

Dubai Spice Souk (Arabic: سوق التوابل) or the Old Souk is a traditional market (or souk) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Spice Souk is located in Deira, in eastern Dubai, and is adjacent to the Dubai Gold Souk. The Spice Souk is in the locality of Al Ras, on Baniyas Street. The souk comprises several narrow lanes which are lined with open and closed-roof stores, and is a tourist attraction. Stores in the Spice Souk sell a variety of fragrances and spices from frankincense and shisha to the many herbs used in Arabic and South Asian food. In addition, several household, textiles, tea, incense, rugs and artifacts are also sold in the Spice Souk. A majority of the trading occurs through haggling. The quantity of trade as well as the number of stores trading spices in the Spice Souk have hanged in recent years due to the growth of larger stores and supermarkets.

It is the westernmost locality in the area of Deira and borders the Dubai Creek to the west and south, and Al Dhagaya and Al Buteen to the east. Al Ras Public Library (aka Dubai Public Library) is the oldest public library in Dubai. It was inaugurated by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum in 1963, but closed for renovations in 2019.Al Ras metro station on the Green Line of the Dubai Metro serves the area.

It is located in Al Ras, Deira.Al Ras Public Library was the first public library in Dubai, inaugurated by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum in 1963. The library includes more than 100,000 books in a number of languages and over 170 periodicals. The library has an activity room, audio-visual facilities, a reading hall, and a separate section for children's literature. The library announced that it was closing for renovation work in September 2019.The nearest Dubai Metro station is Al Ras on the Green Line.Nowadays, the library is one of a number of Dubai Public Libraries.

Al Shindagha (Arabic: الشندغة), sometimes spelled Al Shindagah or Al Shindaga, is a neighbourhood in the traditional centre of the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. From 1912 to 1958, the then ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, lived in the area. His reconstructed residence in Al Shindagha is now open to the public as a museum. It is bordered by the locality of Bur Dubai in the south, and by Port Rashid on the west. The Dubai Creek runs along the district's western periphery. The Al Shindagha Tunnel serves as the northernmost connector between the localities of Bur Dubai and Deira.
