Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBUMS, Persian: دانشگاه علوم پزشکی و خدمات بهداشتی-درمانی شهيد بهشتی, Danushgah-e 'lum-e Pezeshki-ye vâ Xedâmat-e Behedashti - Dârmani-ye Shihid Beheshti) is one of the three medical universities in Tehran, the capital of Iran. It began in 1961 with the establishment of the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry. Following the merging of some of the treatment and educational units and organizations affiliated with the then-Ministry of Health and “Melli University” (National University) in 1986, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences began its activities independently. In addition to educating students and facilitating research, the university is responsible for providing healthcare for the five million citizens who live in the northern and eastern parts of Tehran as well as in some of the cities near the capital. The university is government funded. Its administration is made up of the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, the University Council, and eight Vice -Chancellors in international, academic and education, research, health, treatment, food and drugs, logistics, and students affairs. SBUMS is the second largest medical university in Iran and educates 12,500 students in medicine and allied medical sciences.

The Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum (HMIM) is the largest insect collection in Iran with over 4 million insect specimens, including 20–25,000 local species, hundreds of primary types and paratypes, and a representative collection of exotic insects, especially tropical butterflies.

Evin Prison (Persian: زندان اوین, romanized: Zendân-e-Evin) is a prison located in the Evin neighborhood of Tehran, Iran. The prison has been the primary site for the housing of Iran's political prisoners since 1972, before and after the Islamic Revolution, in a purpose-built wing nicknamed "Evin University" due to the number of students and intellectuals housed there. Evin Prison has been accused of committing "serious human rights abuses" against its political dissidents and critics of the government.

The Parsian Azadi Hotel (Persian: هتل پارسیان آزادی) is one of the largest and tallest hotels in Tehran, situated in the northern Evin neighborhood, overlooking the city. The hotel has 475 guest rooms & suites.

Shahr-e Bazi (Persian: شهر بازی, lit. 'The City of Games', formerly known as Luna Park), was an amusement park located in the north of Tehran. Covering 150 acres (0.61 km2), it was the largest amusement park in the Islamic Republic of Iran and admitted around 2.5 million visitors every year. It has been closed since 2007 due to highway construction, lack of inspection, and malfunctions.The amusement park was opened in 1970 under the last Shah of Iran. It was built by Abbas Pedarsani. It became a state-owned park after the Iran–Iraq War in 1988. In the following years, the state-owned park was made more technologically advanced. Shahr-e Bazi featured twelve thrill rides, as well as a cinema and theater. There were also six restaurants with different food from around the world. Souvenir shops and a money exchange office were located around the park. One of the main reasons for the park's popularity were its water slides and pools. The park was open 10 months a year, during spring, summer and autumn. During winter, heavy snow made it necessary to keep the park closed. Admission was around $3 for adults, whereas children under seven could get in free.

The Iran International Exhibitions Company (IIEC) oversees and operates all international and specialized exhibitions held in Iran. Site features exhibitions calendar and provides trade laws and regulations. IIEC is affiliated with the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade. IIEC is located at the Tehran permanent fairground.

Tehran International & Adaptive School (TIS) is an international school located in North Tehran, Iran. It consists of three campuses: girls, boys elementary and boys grade 7–12. The school offers the International Baccalaureate's IB Diploma Programme. Boys attend school in Saadat Abad, while girls attend school in Shahrak-e Gharb. There are two divisions per school: an international school for non-Iranians, which consists of mainly an ex-patriate student body (it enrols very few Iranian nationals); and an adaptive school for Iranians returning from abroad who need to re-adjust to the Iranian educational system.It was established in 1985 under the Education Ministry of Iran.

Zafaraniyeh (main street: Shahid Sarlashkar Fallahi) is an affluent neighbourhood in the north of Tehran, Iran. The name's origin lies in the fact that it was the residence of many saffron traders long ago, thus the name Zafaraniyeh (the Persian version of Saffronia). The Islamic Azad University of Tehran, Languages branch is located at the beginning of Zafaraniyeh that teaches English, German, French, Spanish, and other foreign languages. The museum of Sa'dabad Palace is situated at the end of this street, which also contains a culture house. There are plans to build a shopping center in Asef crossroad. The Moghaddas Ardebili Street connects Zafaraniyeh to Velenjak from east and to Valiasr Street and Elahieh from west. Zafaraniyeh is one of Tehran's safest and most heavily guarded neighborhood has due to the many Embassies, residences, head of state, nobles and notables who reside here. There is also a synagogue here. Zaferanieh area has one of, if not the highest household income rates in Tehran. With many wealthy Iranians and non-Iranians residing here, it is regarded as the best and most pricey area of TehranAfter Lavasan and Sahibqraniyeh, Zafaranieh is actually the most expensive property in the capital, but the presence of streets like Sepand in Aqdasiyeh or Farishte in Elahiyeh has caused Zafaranieh to occupy a lower rank. The area has many Billionaires and Millionaires and many of the residents also live abroad. The area consists of nearly all apartment blocks with only a few houses. It is near the longest city road in Asia, Valiasr Street. The Tehran Time museum is located in this neighborhood.

The Parsian Esteghlal International Hotel is a hotel in Tehran, Iran. Opened in 1962 as the Royal Tehran Hilton, the hotel was designed by local Iranian architect Heydar Ghiai.

The Iran Broadcasting University (Persian: دانشگاه صدا و سیما, Dāneshgāh-e Sedā va Simā) formerly known as the Iran Broadcasting College (Persian: دانشکده صدا و سیما, Dāneshkade-ye Sedā va Simā) is a public university in Tehran, Iran. It is affiliated to I.R.I.B and also has campuses in Qom.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB; Persian: صدا و سيمای جمهوری اسلامی ايران) formerly called National Iranian Radio and Television until the Iranian revolution of 1979, is an Iranian state-controlled media corporation that holds a monopoly of domestic radio and television services in Iran. It is also among the largest media organizations in Asia and the Pacific region and a regular member of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. Its head is appointed directly by the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.With 13,000 employees and branches in 20 countries worldwide, including France, Belgium, Guyana, Malaysia, Lebanon, United Kingdom, the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting offers both domestic and foreign radio and television services, broadcasting twelve domestic television channels, four international news television channels, six satellite television channels for international audiences, and thirty provincial television channels available countrywide, half of which are broadcast in minority-status languages in Iran, for example Azerbaijani and Kurdish, as well as the local accents or dialects of Persian. The IRIB provides twelve radio stations for domestic audiences, and through the IRIB World Service, thirty radio stations are available for foreign and international audiences. It also publishes the Persian-language newspaper Jam-e Jam.
