Ashland, Nebraska

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is a historic church (building) in Ashland, Nebraska, currently serving as an event and exhibit space for the Ashland Arts Council. It was built with board-and-batten in 1872 for the Episcopal Church, after Robert Harper Clarkson, the first bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Nebraska, approved its construction in 1871.The church was designed in the Gothic Revival style, with "a steeply pitched gable roof whose ridge is straddled by a belfry at the eastern end," and is considered one of Nebraska's best examples of the style. The design is similar to others by Richard Upjohn; however, the architect and builder of the church is unknown, and the extent of Upjohn's influence has not been ascertained. The only Episcopal church in Saunders County, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 25, 1979. In 1992, the diocese closed the parish and sold the church to the Ashland Arts Council, which has maintained it ever since.

The National Bank of Ashland is a historic two-story building in Ashland, Nebraska. It was built with bricks and stones in 1889 for the National Bank of Ashland. It was designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style by I & I Hodgson Jr. in 1889, and redesigned by Fred Organ in 1935. It housed the National Bank of Ashland until, when it was taken over by the Citizen's National Bank until 1947. The building was subsequently remodelled as a law firm office for the Lutton Law Office until the 1980s at least. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since January 27, 1983.

The Ashland Public Library is a historic building in Ashland, Nebraska. It was built by W.R. Shankland as a Carnegie library in 1911. Besides the $5,500 donation from Andrew Carnegie, its construction had much to do with the Wiggenhorn family: the land was donated by Mr and Mrs Wiggenhorn Jr., and the roof was donated by H. A. Wiggenhorn. The building was designed in the Jacobethan style by Fisher & Lawrie, an architectural firm based in Omaha co-founded by Scottish-born Harry Lawrie and his American counterpart, George Lee Fisher. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since January 27, 1983.

The Ashland Bridge in Ashland, Nebraska, also known as Silver Street Bridge, is a pony truss bridge that was built in 1936. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, and was delisted in 2023.At the time of its listing, it was notable as one of just two surviving Warren truss bridges in Nebraska.

The Israel Beetison House, located southeast of Ashland, Nebraska, was built in 1874. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, and was delisted in 2023.Its 1976 NRHP nomination states that it "stands as one of the fine examples of the Italianate style of architecture in Nebraska. Due to the economic hardship associated with the settlement of a wilderness territory, the Greek and Gothic Revivals saw very little development in Nebraska before they had passed out of favor. The Italianate was probably the first style in the state to gain widespread popularity."The house has been destroyed in a fire on April 12, 2022. The house was demolished on May 2, 2022

Ashland Township is one of twenty-four townships in Saunders County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 3,180 at the 2020 census. A 2021 estimate placed the township's population at 3,286.Most of the City of Ashland lies within the Township.

Camp Ashland, Nebraska is an Army National Guard facility located near Ashland, Nebraska, United States, along the Platte River. The camp has been in use by the Nebraska National Guard for more than 100 years. The camp is currently home to the 209th Regimental Training Institute. Year-round training is conducted at Camp Ashland, and it is considered one of the midwest's most important military training centers, with 80,000 to 100,000 service members training at the camp every year. Each weekend can see anywhere from 300 to 1,000 troops at the camp, above and beyond the service members attending schools there.

Beacon View is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarpy County, Nebraska, United States. It is in the southwest part of the county, on the east bank of the Platte River. It is bordered to the south, across U.S. Route 6 (US 6), by the CDP of Linoma Beach. US 6 leads northeast 7 miles (11 km) to Gretna and southwest 3.5 miles (5.6 km) to Nebraska. Omaha is 28 miles (45 km) to the northeast. The community was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum is a museum focusing on aircraft and nuclear missiles of the United States Air Force during the Cold War. It is located near Ashland, Nebraska, along Interstate 80 southwest of Omaha. The objective of the museum is to preserve and display historic aircraft, missiles, and space vehicles, and provide educational resources.

Linoma Beach, now doing business under the name Linoma Lighthouse, is a privately owned recreation area developed around an artificial lake in Sarpy County in the eastern part of the state of Nebraska, in the Midwestern United States. The site was opened in 1924; in 1939, a 100-foot (30 m) lighthouse was added to it. The lighthouse is a conspicuous landmark on U.S. Highway 6 between Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska. Linoma Beach is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, as a well-preserved example of a once-common but now vanishing type of roadside architecture. The community is listed by the U.S. Census Bureau, for statistical purposes, as the Linoma Beach census-designated place.
