Jane Sanders Stadium, nicknamed "The Jane", is an outdoor softball stadium in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Located on the south side of the University of Oregon (UO) campus at 18th and University, it is the home field of the Oregon Ducks of the Pac-12 Conference. Robert C. "Bob" Sanders donated more than $16 million to build the stadium, a memorial to his late wife Jane Sanders, who had been a longtime fan of Ducks softball. Former Ducks softball coach Becky Sisley matched other donations, up to $200,000. The total cost of the stadium was $17.2 million. The stadium was opened in 2016 and expanded a year later with an additional 1,000 permanent general admission seats in the outfield. The official seating capacity is 2,500.

It is one of the three oldest cemeteries in Eugene. It is the largest in both acreage and burials encompassing 16 acres (65,000 m2) with approximately 5,000 burials.

Bill Bowerman is an outdoor 2000 sculpture of the American track and field coach of the same name by Diana Lee Jackson, installed outside the Bowerman Family Building, in the corner of Hayward Field, on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States.Bowerman co-founded the American multinational corporation Nike, Inc.; Jackson was a Nike employee. The statue was installed on June 21, 2000.

Hayward Field is a track and field stadium in the Northwestern United States, located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. It has been the home of the university's track and field teams since 1921, and was the on-campus home of the varsity football team from 1919 through 1966. Track and field competitions at the stadium are organized by the not-for-profit organization TrackTown USA. Hayward Field was named after track coach Bill Hayward (1868–1947), who ran the Ducks' program from 1904 to 1947. Renovated in 2004, it is one of only five International Association of Athletics Federations Class 1 certified tracks in the United States (along with Hutsell-Rosen Track, Icahn Stadium, John McDonnell Field, and Rock Chalk Park). The elevation of Hayward Field is approximately 420 feet (130 m) above sea level and its infield has a conventional north-south orientation. The Pacific Ocean is approximately fifty miles (80 km) to the west, separated by the Coast Range. In 2018, the stadium was demolished and rebuilt on the same site. The new stadium is financed by UO's philanthropic community, with alumnus Phil Knight as the main donor.

The Prefontaine Classic is a track and field meet held at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Organized by the Oregon Track Club, it was previously one of the IAAF Grand Prix events, and is now part of the Diamond League. The meet is one of the few international competitions to host the imperial distances of the Mile run and 2 Mile run.

The Pioneer Mother is a sculpture formerly located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon. Burt Barker donated the six-foot-tall bronze sculpture, created by artist Alexander Phimister Proctor, to the university. Barker's daughter, Barbara Barker, introduced the sculpture to a public gathering of hundreds on May 7, 1932, during Junior Week and Mother's Day festivities.

The University of Oregon (UO, U of O or Oregon) is a public research university in Eugene, Oregon. In the summer of 2022, UO hosted the 2022 World Athletics Championships. It was the first time the event was held in the United States. UO's colors are green and yellow.The university has a long and complex relationship with Nike, Inc., and the firm's co-founder Phil Knight. As a consequence of state higher-education disinvestment starting in the 1990s, UO has embraced a "University of Nike" image. Fueled by large investments in athletic infrastructure, this trend has accelerated in recent years. Knight, an alumnus, has advocated for both athletic prominence and increased privatisation of the university, and has donated over $1 billion to UO since the late-1980s, much of it going towards athletics. The school's "O" logo was designed by Nike in 1998 and sports facility projects on campus typically involve both Knight and Nike.
