Stanmore railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Main Suburban line, serving the Sydney suburb of Stanmore in New South Wales, Australia. It is served by Sydney Trains T2 Inner West & Leppington line services. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Wyvern House (abbreviated as Wyvern) is one of the two independent Uniting Church single-sex primary day schools for boys of Newington College, that is located at 115 Cambridge Street, Stanmore, an Inner West suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The other primary school is located at Lindfield, on Sydney's North Shore. Both schools are commonly called preparatory schools. Wyvern has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for approximately 478 boys from Year K to Year 6. The main point of entry is at Year K, where there are 40 students, with another class intake at Year 3 and Year 5.

Corunna Road Sewer Vent and Cottage is a heritage-listed sewer vent and residence at 125 Corunna Road, Stanmore, Inner West Council, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by the NSW Public Works Department and built by the department in 1900. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 15 November 2002.

Newington College is a multi-campus independent Uniting Church single-sex and co-educational early learning, primary and secondary day and boarding school for boys, located in Stanmore, an inner-western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1863 at Newington House, Silverwater, the college celebrated its sesquicentenary in 2013. The college is open to boys of all faiths and denominations. Newington has been governed by an Act of Parliament since 1922.Newington has two preparatory schools, Wyvern House in Cambridge Street, Stanmore, and a school at Lindfield on Sydney's Upper North Shore. Newington currently caters for approximately 2,000 students from Year K to Year 12. Edmund Webb House, a boarding facility, is in Cambridge Street, Stanmore. The Robert Glasson Memorial Boat Shed is on the Parramatta River at Abbotsford and contains a boarding facility for thirty boys.As of 2021, Newington has 16 houses, expanded from eight houses. The college is a member of the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA), the Junior School Heads Association of Australia (JSHAA), the Australian Boarding Schools' Association, and is a founding member of the Athletic Association of the Great Public Schools of New South Wales (AAGPS).The college prepares students for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the NSW Higher School Certificate.

Annandale Farm was situated six kilometres from Sydney in the present day suburbs of Stanmore and Annandale. Built by George Johnston, it became one of the most successful farms in the early colonial days of New South Wales. Johnston was a Royal Marines officer, and briefly Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales. He was a key figure in the Rum Rebellion of 1808. He rode from the farm to arrest Captain Bligh on 26 January 1808. Also it was from the farm where Johnston marched with his troops to Castle Hill on 5 March 1804 to quell a convict revolt.

New South Wales Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Office, abbreviated as NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Office, is a heritage-listed former Aboriginal land, farm and house and now education centre and teacher-training facility at 37 Cavendish Street, Stanmore, Inner West Council, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1887 to 1888. It is also known as NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Office and Records and NSW AECG Office. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 19 January 2018.

The Petersham Town Hall is a heritage-listed town hall located at 107 Crystal Street in Petersham, a suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, Australia. It was built in 1937–38 in the Inter-War Stripped Classical architectural style by architects Rudder & Grout, and replaced the first Petersham Town Hall on the site, which was designed in the Victorian_Renaissance_Revival style by Thomas Rowe in 1880–1882. The Town Hall was the seat of Petersham Municipal Council from 1938 to 1948 and from 1948 to 1974 was the seat of the Municipality of Marrickville, which absorbed Petersham. When the council moved to new offices across the street in 1974, the town hall has primarily been used as a meeting hall, community centre, filming location and archival office.

The Municipality of Petersham was a local government area of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The small municipality was proclaimed as a borough in 1871 and was centred on the suburbs of Lewisham, Petersham and Stanmore. It was bounded by Parramatta Road in the north, Cardigan and Liberty Streets in the east, Stanmore and New Canterbury Roads in the south, and Old Canterbury Road in the west. The municipality was divided into three wards: South Kingston, Annadale and Sydenham, all the names of early farms. The boundaries remained fairly stable, with only minor changes on the east and western sides. The borough became a municipality in 1906. In 1949 under the Local Government (Areas) Act 1948, Petersham council was merged with the larger neighbouring Marrickville Council which was located immediately to the south.

Goodman's Buildings is a heritage-listed retail building at 2-12 Johnston Street, Annandale, Inner West Council, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Enmore is a suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Enmore is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south-west of the Sydney central business district and is part of the local government area of Inner West Council. Like Newtown, Enmore is mostly comprises Victorian era buildings, namely in its commercial area, that provide a hint of the suburb's rich cultural heritage.

Jura Books is an anarchist bookshop and infoshop located in Sydney, Australia. The shop was named after the Jura federation, the federation of workers of the Jura region that associated with Bakunin in the First International. It has operated since August 1977, first on King Street, Newtown, before moving to Parramatta Road, Petersham. Anarchist Resources Incorporated, a non-profit collective, manages the bookshop building, which also includes meeting space and an inherited library collection, The Fanya Baron Library, that was named in honour of Russian anarchist, Fanya Baron. Australian Ethical Investment uses Jura Books as an example of Socially responsible investing practice, stating that Jura is "a major source in Australia for a wide range of affordable books of community and educational interest including the areas of trade unionism, women's rights, environment, permaculture, indigenous peoples' issues, poetry, arts and non-violent revolution."Over the many years of operation Jura has built a collection of more than 4,500 Australian and international posters, believed to be one of the biggest and most complete collections of political posters known to exist in Australia. In 2003 a selection of over 100 political posters spanning from the 1960s to the late 1980s were on display at Jura Books.Jura Books is also used for community meetings and talks. Members of the collective have been involved in organising several successful conferences in Sydney including on Workers Control, 1984 and Social Control, and the 1995 Visions of Freedom conference with guest speaker Noam Chomsky.For many years (1982 to 2013) the anarcho-syndicalist paper, Rebel Worker, was published from the Jura Books premises. It is now published elsewhere.

Petersham Reservoir is a heritage-listed water reservoir at New Canterbury Road, Petersham, Inner West Council, Sydney New South Wales, Australia. It was designed and built by the New South Wales Public Works Department. It is also known as Petersham Service Reservoir and WS089. The property is owned by Sydney Water. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 18 November 1999.
