Vermo

Mäkkylä is a station on the VR commuter rail network, between the cities of Helsinki and Espoo in Finland. It is situated between Pitäjänmäki railway station and Leppävaara railway station and is about nine kilometres northwest of Helsinki Central railway station.

Talinhuippu (‘The Tali hilltop’) is a former dumping ground known as the Iso-Huopalahti dumping ground, and was one of the “big three” dumping grounds in Helsinki at the time it was in operation. The site is located at the boundary between Helsinki and Espoo and was in use from 1963 to 1979. It is located between Talinranta, the Tali Golf Course and the Vermo harness racing track, on the northern shore of the Laajalahti Bay, north of Tarvo Island and Finnish national road 1.

Finnvox Studios is a recording studio located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland. It was founded by Erkki Ertesuo, Kurt Juuranto and Lejos Inc. in 1965 and is the longest running studio recording facility in Finland. The original multi-track recording equipment and continuous technical updates of the studio machines and acoustics soon made Finnvox the most sought after studio in the country. Finnish artists which recorded at Finnvox in the 1970s include Rauli Somerjoki, M. A. Numminen and their bands, Wigwam, Agit-prop and many others. Up until the 1990s, Finnvox also operated a vinyl record mastering and pressing facility, which was later converted in new studio rooms and in a mixing and recording room for film and TV productions. Currently, Finnvox occupy 2000 square feet and has nine studio rooms, five of which are used for recording and mixing, three for mastering and editing and one for film and TV productions. Finnvox Studios maintained for five decades their importance in the country, remaining the first choice in Finland for all the local record producers and companies.More recently, many metal bands used Finnvox Studios for recording, mixing or mastering their albums including Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Finntroll, Stratovarius, HIM, Moonsorrow, Holy Knights, Ram-Zet, Throes of Dawn, Grenouer, Apocalyptica and many more.The mastering abilities of technician Mika Jussila in particular are much requested in the metal community, with more than 1300 metal albums mastered at Finnvox since 1990.

Pajamäki (Swedish: Smedjebacka) is a neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland. It is located in Pitäjänmäki district. As of 2008, Pajamäki has 1,802 inhabitants living in an area of 0.27 km2.

Postipuu School is a primary school in Espoo, Finland. It consists pre-school, primary and secondary school level. There are around 250 pupils and 45 staff members at Postipuu. The pupils represent many different nationalities, as do the staff members. Since 2016, the school principal has been Anne Suomala.

The Pajamäki Solar System Scale Model is a scale model of the Solar System built in Helsinki and partly in Espoo, Finland in 1992. Its scale is 1:1 000 000 000, i.e. one to one billion, so that 1 millimeter in the model corresponds to 1 000 kilometers in the actual Solar System. The coordinates given for the model are those for the Sun in Patterinmäki. The model was designed by the amateur astronomer Leo Sulamaa, who has had his own observatory in Pajamäki.

Tali (Swedish: Tali) is a neighbourhood located in Pitäjänmäki district of Western Helsinki, Finland. As of 2008, Tali has 1,078 inhabitants living in an area of 1.01 km2.The race track hosted the steeplechase eventing equestrian competition for the 1952 Summer Olympics.

Perkkaa (Swedish: Bergans) is a neighbourhood in the district of Leppävaara in Espoo, Finland. On New Year 2017 the population of the neighbourhood was 3836. The name of the neighbourhood comes from the Bergans farm that used to be located in the area. Perkkaa is located inside the Kehä I beltway, bordering the beltway to the west, the Rantarata train line to the north, the district of Pitäjänmäki in Helsinki to the east and the Finnish national road 1 to the south. Services in Perkkaa include a school, a university of applied sciences, a citizens' park and many kindergartens. The area also has a grocery store. As well as residential houses, Perkkaa includes office buildings such as the Stella Business Park, the Polaris Business Park and the Upseerin avec office building. The Vermo race track is also located in Perkkaa. The streets in Perkkaa are named after military terms, including for example military ranks from colonel to sergeant. Most of the apartments in Perkkaa were built in the 1970s and 1990s. Most of the apartments are located in multi-story apartment buildings.

Perkkaanpuiston Montessorikoulu (Finnish for "Perkkaanpuisto Montessori School") was a school unit within a public school offering for the very first time in Finland proper primary school classes using the Montessori method of teaching. The school unit was run by the city of Espoo. Prior to the opening of the school unit, the Montessori method had only been used in preschools. The school was first founded as a separate Montessori subdivision of the primary school in Lintuvaara, Espoo. In the middle 1980s it moved to its own building in Perkkaa, Espoo. The school building was a mint green wooden one-storey building divided into a large central "living room", two main classrooms and a teachers' area. The school housed all six classes of the Finnish primary school (ala-aste) system. Because of the low number of students — only about 30 in the entire school — the classrooms were divided among the classes so that classes 1—3 had one room and classes 4—6 had another. The students also had free access to the teachers' area during breaks. The central "living room" housed the school library and the school's pets: a couple of guinea pigs and some budgerigars. The school building had to be torn down because of the mildew infested in the wooden walls in the late 1990s. A new standard (non-Montessori) school was built in its place and the Montessori classes moved to the Ruusutorppa primary school (Ruusutorpan ala-aste).

Reimarla (Finnish), Reimars (Swedish) is a western neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland.

Talinranta (Swedish: Talistranden) is a neighbourhood in Munkkiniemi district of Helsinki, Finland. It is located west from Munkkivuori and south from Tali. In south, Finnish national road 1 separates Talinranta from Vanha Munkkiniemi. As of 2005 Talinranta has 1,226 inhabitants living in an area of 0.40 km2

Konala (Finnish), Kånala (Swedish) is a subdistrict of Helsinki, Finland. Konala is situated in north-western Helsinki, north of the road Ring I and Pitäjänmäki, west of Malminkartano and Kannelmäki. Its southern boundary is the Ring I, while the eastern boundary is a green belt which separates the industrial area along the road Vihdintie from Malminkartano. In the west, Konala borders Espoo. The houses are mainly small apartment houses and townhouses. The area also contains industrial and commercial enterprises. Vihdintie has several automotive companies. The Ristikko Shopping Centre, which opened in 2015, is also located in Konala.The road Konalantie splits Konala into two different parts. On the eastern side of the Konalantie, there are regional blocks of industry, business and apartment blocks. On the western side of the road, there are terraced houses, such as the houses by the road Äestäjäntie. The newer Lehtovuori suburb, between the road Vihdintie and the Uusmäki suburb in Espoo, is mainly composed of wooden houses. Konalan ala-aste, a primary school, operates at two separate locations. The so-called "big school" is located by the Riihipellonkuja and was founded in 1981. The schoolhouse is a low white building, and it provides education for grades 1-6 as well as special education. Near the border with Espoo, there is the Hilatien Koulu, which was founded in 1990 and provided education for the grades 1–2. The "little school" was closed in 2011/2012 due to poor indoor air quality.
