The Embassy of the United States in Quito is the diplomatic mission of the United States of America in Ecuador.

Jipijapa is a Quito Metro station. It was officially opened on 21 December 2022 as part of the inaugural section of the system between Quitumbe and El Labrador. The revenue service started on 2 May 2023 and discontinued on 11 May 2003. The station is located between El Labrador and Iñaquito.This is an underground station. The estimated daily number of passengers would be 53 thousands. The station has access for disabled passengers. It also has escalators. The station is painted in blue color.The station is located at the intersection of Avenida Amazonas, Avenida Juan de Ascaray, and Avenida Tomas de Berlanga, next to Plaza de Toros.The construction was completed on 31 March 2021, after which the process of transfer of the station to the city was started, and the process was completed on 2 May 2021. On 23 January 2023, the first train with 600 passengers to whom invitations were extended, arrived to the station.

Plaza de toros de Quito is a bull ring in Quito, Ecuador. It ceased to be used for bull fighting after a referendum in which the citizenry voted against such practice in the Quito district. The stadium holds 15,000 people and it opened on 5 March 1960. Jipijapa metro station is nearby.

On 9 August 2023, eleven days before the 2023 Ecuadorian general election, presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio was assassinated after leaving a campaign rally in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. One assailant was killed during the attack. Several bystanders, including security personnel and a legislative candidate, were injured.

On 5 April 2024, the Mexican embassy in Quito was raided by Ecuadorian police and military forces. Mexico and numerous other countries decried the raid as a violation of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and the 1954 Caracas Convention on Diplomatic Asylum. The raid was carried out to arrest the former vice president of Ecuador, Jorge Glas, who had been sentenced for corruption and had been living in the embassy since 17 December 2023. A few hours before the attack, he had been granted political asylum. The assault led to Mexico severing its relations with Ecuador. The following day, Nicaragua followed suit in solidarity with Mexico. Venezuela closed its Ecuadorian embassy and consulates due to the raid, condemning Ecuador's actions.

Lycée franco-équatorien La Condamine is a French international school in Quito, Ecuador. It has programmes from the primary level until the terminale, the final year of lycée (senior high school or lyceum). It is part of the network of the Agency for French Education Abroad.

El Labrador is a Quito Metro station. It was officially opened on 21 December 2022 as the northern terminus of the inaugural section of the system between Quitumbe and El Labrador. The revenue service started on 2 May 2023 and discontinued on 11 May 2003. The adjacent station is Jipijapa.It is an underground station, located 9 m below the surface.The station is located on Calle Isaac Albéniz, next to the eponymous transport terminal. The entrance to the metro station is integrated with the entrances to the bus and trolleybus stations of the terminal. This is one of five such integrated stations of the first stretch of Quito Metro. It has access for disabled passengers.The first train arrived to the station on 30 October 2020, during the trial phase. On 23 January 2023, the first train with 600 passengers to whom invitations were extended, arrived.

Iñaquito is a Quito Metro station. It was officially opened on 21 December 2022 as part of the inaugural section of the system between Quitumbe and El Labrador. The revenue service started on 2 May 2023 and discontinued on 11 May 2003. The station is located between Jipijapa and La Carolina.This is an underground station. The estimated daily number of passengers would be 39 thousands. The station has access for disabled passengers. It also has escalators.The station is located at the intersection of Avenida Naciones Unidas and Calle Japón, in the northern part of La Carolina Park. The construction was completed on 31 March 2021, after which the process of transfer of the station to the city was started, and the process was completed on 2 May 2021. On 23 January 2023, the first train with 600 passengers to whom invitations were extended, arrived to the station.

The Quito Metropolitan Convention Center (CCMQ), also known as the Bicentenario Convention Center, is a complex of municipally owned buildings that constitutes the main convention center of the city of Quito, Ecuador. The complex is located on the grounds of the terminal of the Old Mariscal Sucre Airport, surrounded by Bicentenario Park, in the parish of La Concepción, north of the Ecuadorian capital.

Parque La Carolina is a 165.5-acre (670,000 m2) park in the centre of the Quito central business district, bordered by the avenues Río Amazonas, de los Shyris, Naciones Unidas, Eloy Alfaro, and de la República. Iñaquito metro station is in the northern part of the park, whereas La Carolina metro station is in the southern part.

The painter Oswaldo Guayasamín's La Capilla del Hombre ("The Chapel of Man") occupies a site in Bellavista overlooking the city of Quito, Ecuador. The Capilla is a purpose-built art museum dedicated to the peoples of Latin America. Construction of Guayasamín's masterpiece began in 1995 and unfortunately was not completed until 2002, after his death.Although this chapel contains fewer pieces of Guayasamín's art than the nearby foundation and museum, the building provides an atmosphere specific to his artwork to view his paintings. The Capilla del Hombre exhibits Guayasamín's work as a history of human suffering and violence in Latin America and the world. It includes sculptures and murals and integrates the surroundings into an artistic interpretation of the subject. The building was co-designed by Oswaldo Guayasamín and Handel Guayasamín.

Mariscal Sucre International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Mariscal Sucre) (IATA: UIO, ICAO: SEQU) was the main international airport serving Quito, Pichincha Province, Ecuador. It was the busiest airport in Ecuador by passenger traffic, by aircraft movement and by cargo movement, and one of the busiest airports in South America. It was named after Venezuelan-born Antonio José de Sucre, a hero of Ecuadorian and Latin American independence. It began operations in 1960, and during its last years of operation, handled about 6.2 million passengers and 164,000 metric tons of freight per year. The airport, one of the highest in the world (at 2,800 metres or 9,200 feet AMSL) was located in the northern part of the city, in the Chaupicruz parish, within five minutes of Quito's financial center; the terminals were located at the intersection of Amazonas and La Prensa avenues. Mariscal Sucre International was the largest hub for TAME with an average of 50 daily departures. The old Mariscal Sucre International Airport ceased all operations at 19:00 on February 19, 2013, following the departure of TAME flight 321 to Guayaquil (scheduled for 18:55). Iberia operated the final international departure from the airport. On the morning of February 20, 2013, all operations moved to the new airport of the same name. The first domestic flights scheduled to arrive at the new airport were TAME Flight 302 originating in Guayaquil, and LAN Flight 2590 originating in Lima, Peru. The new airport is located in the Tababela parish, about 18 kilometres (11 mi) to the east of the city. It was constructed by a private consortium.The former airport is now the site of Parque Bicentenario, the biggest urban park in Quito. Due to its location in the middle of a city surrounded by mountains, the old airport could no longer be expanded to accommodate any larger aircraft or an increase in air traffic. Its operation posed risks; several serious accidents and incidents had occurred in years prior to its closure.
