Saint Mary's College (Indiana)

Holy Cross College is a private, Catholic, co-educational, residential institution of higher education administered by members of the Congregation of Holy Cross in Notre Dame, Indiana. The college was founded by the Holy Cross Brothers in 1966.

Carroll Hall is one of the 33 Residence Halls on the campus of the University of Notre Dame and one of the 16 male dorms. Carroll is located on the shores of St. Mary's Lake, and is the smallest of the residence halls, housing around 100 undergraduates.Built in 1906, it initially served as novitiate for the Brothers of the Congregation of Holy Cross and was known as "Dujarie Institute", before being sold to the University of Notre Dame and converted into a residence hall in 1966. Its mascot is the Vermin, and its colors are crimson and gold. The coat of arms is based on the Carroll family, adapted to the dorm colors. The hall is named after Charles Carroll, Founding Father and the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence. Its current rector is Eric T. Styles. It is listed by Indiana Register of Historic Sites and Structures as 'outstanding' for its historic or architectural significance, the highest rating possible.

"LaSalle Trail" is also the name of a municipal trail network in LaSalle, Ontario, Canada.The LaSalle Trail is a rail trail in Indiana. Occupying an abandoned railroad corridor, it is a 3.5-mile (5.6 km) bicycle and walking trail.It is currently open from Cripe St. to Cleveland Road in Roseland, Indiana. When completed it will connect at the Indiana/Michigan state line to the Blossomland River Trail (proposed) in Michigan, which will collectively be called the Indiana-Michigan River Valley Trail.

Notre Dame is a census-designated place and unincorporated community north of the city of South Bend in St. Joseph County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. It includes the campuses of three colleges: the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, and Holy Cross College. Notre Dame is split between Clay and Portage Townships. As of the 2020 census, its population was 7,234.

Roseland is a town in Clay Township, St. Joseph County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 630 at the 2010 Census. It is part of the South Bend–Mishawaka, IN-MI, Metropolitan Statistical Area. Roseland is known as "The Gateway Town", on account of its location at the Notre Dame/South Bend exit of the Indiana Toll Road (Interstate 80/90).

Lyons Hall is one of the 32 Residence Halls on the campus of the University of Notre Dame and one of the 14 female dorms. It is located on South Quad, and constitutes the "Golden Coast" with Morrissey Hall and Howard Hall. Built in 1925-1927, it is dedicated to professor Joseph Lyons, and hosts 203 undergraduates. The coat of arms features a golden lion on a black field, representing an example of canting arms. Its arch overlooking St. Mary's lake is a campus landmark. Along with other buildings on Notre Dame's campus, it is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Log Chapel was originally built in 1831 by Rev. Fr. Stephen Badin as a mission to the Potawatomi Indians in what would become northern Indiana. It was one of the first Catholic places of worship in Northern Indiana. It was given in 1842 to Fr. Edward Sorin, and it became the original nucleus of the University of Notre Dame.When Sorin arrived on campus, the Log Chapel was the main structure standing. It was a 44 by 24 feet log cabin that served as chapel and priest residence. The small structures were also present on site: a small clapboard cabin that housed the Indian interpreter and his family, and a 8 by 6 feet shed. One of the first things that Sorin did was build a second log cabin, which was dedicated on March 19, 1843, slightly to the east of Badin's chapel and about the same size. As the community grew, Badin's Log Chapel was converted into a carpenter's shop on the first floor and a residence for the Holy Cross Brothers on the second, while Sorin's second cabin housed the chapel on the first floor and a residence for the Holy Cross sisters on the second floor.The original Log Chapel was destroyed in 1856 by a fire, and an identical replica was built in the same spot in 1906. In 1973 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.In February 1987, Fr. Theodore Hesburgh decided to move the burials of Fr. Louis DeSeille, Fr. Benjamin Petit, and Fr. Francis Cointet, from the Basilica crypt to the Log Chapel, where Fr. Badin was buried. All three priests had been buried under the original Chapel before Fr. Sorin moved them to the crypt.

Old College, built in 1843 by the founder of the University of Notre Dame, Rev. Edward Sorin, C.S.C., and the rest of the Holy Cross brothers, is the oldest standing building on campus. Together with other historic structures of the university, it is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Morrissey Hall is one of the 32 Residence Halls on the campus of the University of Notre Dame and one of the 16 male dorms. Built in 1925-1926, its architects were Vincent Fagan and Francis Kervick. Along with other buildings on Notre Dame's campus, it is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is referred to as Morrissey Manor by its residents.

Bond Hall is a building on the campus of the University of Notre Dame which hosts student learning initiatives and a number of institutes including the Graduate School. It was originally built in 1917 as the Lemmonier Library and it housed the Notre Dame School of Architecture from 1964 to 2019. The architect was Edward Lippincott Tilton, a neoclassical architect who specialized in libraries. Its front steps are famous as the location of the Notre Dame Marching Band performances before the football games.

Howard Hall is one of the 32 Residence Halls on the campus of the University of Notre Dame and one of the 14 female dorms. It is located north of South Dining Hall on University of Notre Dame's South Quad, and is immediately surrounded by Badin Hall on the east, Morrissey Manor on the west, and Bond Hall on the north. Built in 1924–1925, it is dedicated to Timothy Edward Howard, and hosts 145 undergraduates. The coat of arms is based on that of the Howard family adapted to fit Howard Hall, changed to match those of the hall, and the lions were substituted with ducks (the hall mascot).

A statue of Thomas Anthony Dooley III by Rudolph Torrini, sometimes called Dr. Tom Dooley and Two Laotian Children, is installed on the University of Notre Dame campus, in the U.S. state of Indiana.
