Rock Creek is a stream in Chisago and Pine counties, in the U.S. state of Minnesota.Rock Creek was named for the rock outcroppings near its mouth.

The Minnesota Correctional Facility – Rush City is a prison for men operated by the Minnesota Department of Corrections in Rush City, Chisago County, Minnesota. Rush City is the state's newest prison, opened in January 2000. The $89 million project stands as the largest single structure in the county, employs about 350 workers, and at the ten-year mark in 2010 was reported to have met local expectations as a quiet and relatively well-run prison.But in June 2010, 27-year-old inmate Xavius Scullark-Johnson died after a string of overnight seizures while held in Rush City, where he was denied emergency medical care. In deteriorating health for months, he anticipated his own death in letters to his mother. His family sued the Department of Corrections, the contracted health care provider Corizon, and the individuals involved. The DOC agreed to settle the suit for $400,000 and promised additional training.

The school was founded in 1910 and has a current enrollment of approximately 800 students, making it the largest school in Pine County. The nickname for the school's athletic teams is the Dragons.

Chengwatana is an abandoned village site in Pine County, Minnesota, United States. The former village was located immediately east of Pine City. The center of the village was generally considered near the present day intersection of Cross Lake Road (Pine County 9) and Government Road.

At the time of its inception, it was the first rural community in the U.S. to hold a Pride It was also the first pride gathering held outside of a metropolitan area in Minnesota. The celebration is held during the first weekend in June in Pine City, Minnesota.

Pine City is a city in and the county seat of Pine County, in east central Minnesota, United States. The population was 3,130 at the 2020 census. Part of the city is on the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation. Founded as a railway town, it soon became a logging community and the surrounding lakes made it a resort town. Today, it is in part as a commuter town for people working in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area.

WCMP (1350 kHz) is an AM radio station in Pine City, Minnesota. It has a classic country format, and broadcasts 24 hours a day. The station first signed on in 1957. It started out as a Full Service MOR station broadcasting only through the day hours, but transformed into Full Service AC in the mid-1980s. It is owned by Alan R. Quarnstrom, through licensee Q Media Properties, and has studios at 15429 Pokegama Lake Rd. This facility is shared with sister station WCMP-FM. Its signal can be heard with in a six-county area. On September 16, 2016, Red Rock Radio announced that it would sell WCMP and WCMP-FM to Q Media Properties; the sale was completed on November 30, 2016 at a purchase price of $300,000. On April 17, 2017, WCMP changed their format from adult standards to classic hits, branded as "Pine Hits 106". Since then, WCMP quietly rebranded as "Highway 106.5" with no change in format. On November 16, 2020, WCMP flipped to classic country, branded as "Anthem Country".

Chengwatana Township is a township in Pine County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 809 at the 2000 census. Chengwatana Township was organized in 1874. Its name is derived from the Ojibwe Zhingwaadena (White-pine Town), applied originally to an Ojibwe village located at the confluence of the Snake River with the St. Croix River. Neighbouring Pine City Township and the City of Pine City get their names from the English translation of Chengwatana.

The Snake River Trading Post is a reconstructed fur trade post on the Snake River west of Pine City, Minnesota, United States of America. The post was established in the fall of 1804 by John Sayer, a partner in the North West Company, and built by his crew of voyageurs. The site operated for several years, although its exact period of operation is unknown. It was later destroyed by fire.The discovery of artifacts in the 1930s revealed the site. Excavation in the 1960s added to knowledge about it, enabling accurate reconstruction of the post. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is operated as a state historic site.
